Arafel
((Oh and I'll be NPCing Iteru, since he's still a toddler and I've been doing so during freize's absense. XD *throws sleepy dust on him* ))

Arafel smiled slightly at the familiar sights and smells that rushed through the door of the clinic. She skillfully manuvered the twin-stroller through the doorway, vaugly wondering how long it had been since they were last here... Even after all that had happend so far it seemed like only yesterday when she had first stumbled apon the clinic. Either way, it was nice to be back... Arafel had figured she and the twins had needed some time away from the house, it had become a fairly depressing setting after the mysterious dissaperance of Freize.

Iteru was quietly taking in the sights as they entered, having lost his energy from playing with the toddler infront of him on the way there. There had been much fun of hair chewing and ear tugging while Futoeki struggled to return the playful attack. And now he was seeming to doze off as he often did after playing.

Futoeki was still lively as ever though, curiously straining to see over the back of his seat in wonder of what had happend to his playmate. "Bohda?" he questioned, having learned a few new words since his first.

Arafel smiled a bit "He's sleepy..." she informed the bluehaired twin.

"Sleeefeee?" Futoeki repeated curiously. "Sleesleesleesleee" he giggled a bit, throwing his arms in the air as he decided to start screaming slee over and over again.

Arafel flinched a bit, "Shhh..." she hushed at him, trying to hold back a laugh since that would only encourage the tot to continue.

Prolixity
"DADDY FASTER!"

"Indoor voice, Merlyn." Prolixity kept hold of his younger son's hand as he opened the door, making sure the kitten wasn't going to bolt off into the waiting room of the clinic like a cyclone with feet. Since Merlyn had figured out how to balance on two feet, keeping track of him had become even more of a full-time job than it already had been. "There might be babies sleeping, so we need to be quiet."

"Faster," Merlyn whined, and tugged on his father's hand. He paused for a moment when he spotted the stroller, ears going up with curiosity. "Who that?"

"Who is that," Prox corrected patiently. "I don't know. Let's go see. ... Indoor voice!" he cautioned, as Merlyn scrambled over the minute he was released.

Junyi
((WOO! GMFC FFA KEKEKEKEKEKEKE))

Jokeph was torn. Did he interfere with the trance Luna seemed to have put herself in, or did he leave her there, sitting upside-down in one of the clinic's hard plastic chairs, legs crossed at the ankles and her frilly skirt barely protecting her modesty?

With a sigh, he simply remained motionless for the moment, keeping a ear open for any improper doings. Luna seemed simply content to sit in the clinic with her mind open, listening to the thoughts and emotions of those projecting them, and he wasn't going to stop her.

Arafel
Arafel's attention was brought as a child bolted up to them. A smile tugged at her lips as she knelt down to greet the newcomer "Hello there..." The sight and sound of children alone was enough to brighten her day, and new peopel always seemed to distract the twins from the thought of their missing father.

Futoeki perked up, "Boohaaa, Ook!" he pointed to the child next to their stroller, only receiving a sleepy toddler's half attempt to look where he was pointing.
Futoeki was well aware that he wasn't realyl going to get a responce when his sibling was like this, and if he kept trying Arafel was likely to scold him to let the other boy sleep... So he let it go, deciding in his toddler mind his brother could join him later in figuring out what the new thing was. "Slee..." he mumbled the word, before something hit him... Yes. This new person must be a slee! That was the only logical answere. "Sleeslee!" he exclaimed happilly, nearly pulling himself over the side of the stroller while pointing. Oh yes, he was a genious.

Prolixity
"Hi! Who is you?" Merlyn peered over the side of the stroller with great interest, holding onto it to keep his balance for the moment. Two others! And a mama. And there was someone over there who felt weird, but she wasn't actively poking him, and so he ignored her for now in favor of the people his size.

Prox padded after Merlyn at a more sedate pace, smiling. He dipped a quick bow to the woman with the two toddlers. "Hi. Merlyn's loud, but friendly," he said.

Akivara
((Aha! I thought something up!))

Kita ran up the sidewalk, looking over her shoulder and almost stumbling several times. Eventually the little hell-hound girl made it through the door, looking around in a paranoid manner before stuffing herself into a seat not visible from the front door and windows and curled into a ball, making herself as small as possible.

Junyi
At Merlyn's notice of her, Luna turned her head slightly toward him, not quite looking at him, but more looking through him and the toddlers and parents.

There was something... weirdly familiar about him, but she couldn't quite place her finger on--

Ah! There it was! It was there when she'd spoken to Ilex before. And that meant...

She lowered herself from the chair awkwardly, skirt falling over her face as she flipped backward. Her feet hit the ground with a loud clack, and as her skirt finally righted itself, she made her way over to the others, gaze fixated on Merlyn.

Ruveila Hokuten
The doors to the clinic opened to reveal a silver hooded and cloaked figure that smelt of sunscreen and rose petels. her eyes glowed blood red from under the hood of the cloak and where her hands were exposed, snow white skin was shown in her tiny digits. She could not have been more than 5-10 years old and a few strands of dark raven black hair fell from under the cloak. The figure darted into a lesser lit corner of the main room of the clinic and sat down.

((Novena Skye <-- thats who I am using))

Arafel
((Sorry had to show my parents something XD))

Futoeki blinked as he was questioned, taking a moment to place the words. Oh wait! He knew this one, "Fuutowkee." He smiled widely as he stated his fairly hard to say name and slapped his hand against his chest. With that he pointed back at the boy infront of him "Slee." He nodded once, before going off on a toddler ramble of repeating things again "SleeSleesleeeee."

Arafel had paused to take a moment to tuck in the tired toddler, carefully putting his favorite blanket over him. As soon as the fabric touched him he seemed to "knonk out." Smiling a bit she turned back to the scene infront of her, raising a brow at her own child "Futoeki, I don't think he's sleepy..." She only earned a confused look.
Shaking her head a bit she turned to look up at the other parent "Oh, Hi.. No worries, Futoeki and Iteru are loud as well." She almost laughed, fairly was an understatement... "I'm Arafel, and... This is Futoeki and Iteru." She gestured.

Futoeki lost his attention to the boy infront of him as he heard someone else enter, tail wagging excitedly. And then another girl was walking over. he almost looked overjoyed at the sight of all the people, much opposed to Arafel's reaction, looking much like a puppy as he struggled against the stroller's seatbelt. "Nnnn... Go!" he whined at the belt, commanding it to free him.

Akivara
Kita stayed in that position for a moment, then risked a peek. She saw Razito walking quickly by, and he cast an annoyed glance inside; Kita shrank back, waiting a moment or two longer before peeking out again. Razito was gone.

Kita sighed with relief; Razito wasn't very happy right now and she didn't want to face him. She got to her feet and looked around, seeing who else was here, and wondered what she could do until Razito came back on the other side of the street.

((I found my ref piiiic of Kita. I figure it's needed 'cause it's been so long since she's shown up. http://www.MyOnlineImages.com/Members/Akivara2/images/Kita.PNG ))

Prolixity
"I Merlyn." The kitten blinked at Futoeki, and repeated, "Slee? What that?" He paused, thought about the sentence, and corrected himself. "What is that?"

The girl who felt weird was coming over towards them. One ear swiveled, and he peeked out of the corner of his eye at her.

"I'm Prolixity." Prox sat down in a nearby chair, keeping a sharp eye on his young son and the other children. "Nice to meet you. They're adorable." He nodded towards the toddlers in the stroller.

Someone scuttled in the door, and Prox tensed slightly. The way the girl moved set off reflexes developed in other times, on other worlds. Was she being pursued? Why had she come to a clinic to hide, if that was the case? He resolved to stay alert, just in case.

Junyi
Luna blinked, head tilting at the adults and the two toddlers that hadn't yet caught her full interest. She then turned to Merlyn, head tilting even further as she studied him.

Yup. Definitely had the right ears for that.

With that decided, she smiled brightly, leaned forward, and gave his cheek her most polite lick.

There! She did it right, right? whee

Ruveila Hokuten
Novena looked around briefly before sliding her hooded cloak off and the silvery garment hit the floor silently. Her raven hair fell down and stopped just above her ribcage. Her skin was pale milky white and her eyes an intense ruby red. She gazed around briefly and looked over at the group of children and parents, sipping a red liquid from a small cup with a clear straw.

Anyone that had the sense to tell such things, could identify the liquid as blood and a few other non Gaian herbs mixed in it. Her body smelt of layers of sunscreen and rose blossoms. She looked for all the world to be albino if not for the hair on her head and eyebrows. She was definately not of this world. She slinked along the dark portions of the wall, almost as if the sun scared her as she neared the other children, looking quite lonely but yet curious. her long elf like ears twitched slightly as she picked up sounds.

Arafel
Arafel tensed as more people seemed to flood into the clinic. Her shoulders seemed to hunch as she'd occassionally glance here and there to keep check on them, as if she felt they might jump her at any moment. And who could blame her...
"It's nice to meet yo..." she froze as a scent hit her more cannine-like-nose, blood? Her tail rose a bit, quickly looking over her own children, then around the center for the source of the smell. Her eyes locked on the liquid a woman was holding, leting out a sigh of releif. No danger...

Futoeki continued to struggle against the belt "Go!" he commanded again. Ignoring the question for the moment.

The struggles caught the mother's attention as she tried to relax herself, leaning foreward to undo the strap and carefully move him to the floor.

Futoeki grinned as he was freed, then returned to his 'conversation' "Boodah slee." he pointed to his sleeping sibling. He froze as the girl licked the boy infront of him, then bursting into a fit of giggles. "Keeee!" he exclaimed to the sight of the kee, or kiss, he carefully situated his feet under him to pounce forth upon the kitten-boy. "Kee!" he exclaimed again, giving a much more sloppy and wet version of what luna had just done, tail wagging rapidly.

Prolixity
Prox watched the pale girl sliding along the wall cautiously, his nose also picking up the scent of blood. Vampire, perhaps? She wasn't acting like a predator, though, and he cautiously mentally marked her as not threatening. He turned his attention back to the children, and realized belatedly that Arafel had said something. "Ah, excuse me?" he asked, one ear going back in embarrassment.

He blinked at Luna. What - ?

Merlyn's ears flicked. This girl said hi like cats did! He arranged his ears and tail for a proper hello and stretched up to lick her cheek in return, and then licked Futoeki's cheek as well, just as pleased to be properly greeted by everyone. New friends!

Junyi
Luna squealed, eyes instinctively squeezing shut as Merlyn licked her cheek. The squeal quickly gave way to a giggle, which, in turn, gave way to squeals of laughter.

Tickle! was the only word she managed to project as she leaned toward Futoeki and repeated the process with him, as well.

There! Now they were ALL friends!

Akivara
Kita stopped herself from laughing as she watched the group lick each other, and shook her head. As dog-like as she might be, she'd never think of licking anyone. She thought it was kinda gross.

As Kita caught the scent of blood, she gulped and raised her hands to her head, holding it, while dropping into the chair behind her. The glow of her eyes grew brighter as she struggled against something unexpected rising in her mind, something violent. The inner hell-hound growled at this resistance, it wanted to kill and to eat!

Kita's eyes snapped wide open as she realized what her instincts were telling her to do, and gulped with fear. She didn't want to hurt anyone, but all she could do was fight while the smell of blood was in her nose.

A sudden idea coursed through Kita's brain, and one of her hands left her head to plug her nose. Though she could smell, all she could smell was her own hand. With the blood smell gone, the inner hell-hound diminished, and she sighed in relief, though still didn't take her hand off her nose. She looked around embarassedly, ready with an excuse for anyone who'd noticed her acting strangely.

Ruveila Hokuten
Novena grew close to the children and put her cup away. She then knelt down with them and realized they were almost all bigger than she was. A pale hand gentle readjusted her robes and as she spoke, her voice was an elegnet and soft toned one, alamost like the whisper of wind on a cool day. " Why.. you lick.. faces?" She asked, her eyes squinting slightly at the adults, almost liek she had trouble seeing them. She shifted her position and a tiny hint of wings on her back emeged, looking identical to a bat. She then tugged gently on her large and long white ears. " I called.. Novena..."

Arafel
Arafel blinked, having forgotten her mannors and flushing some. "Oh i was just saying it was nice to meet you..." She gave an awkward smile. Jumping a bit as Futoeki lurched foreward. "Futoeki don...!" She trailed off as the child returned the animal-greeting. She smiled some, releived that her pup's strange ways hadn't gotten him rejected. She let out a soft laugh at the sight of a pile of children all exhanging licking greetings.

Futoeki's tail seemed to wag even more. "Yaaaa!" he cheered, throwing his arms in the air only to lose his balance and fall to the ground giggling. Yay for friends!

Arafel's own tail wagged some behind her... It reminded her of the way her and her brother would play and greet eachother when they were just pups... Those actions had been rejected by others though, thank goodness times were changing.
She froze once more as the sudden feeling of danger struck her senses, she shook her head... hoping that feeling would pass. You're just being paranoid... she scolded herself, uncontiously reaching a hand into the stroller to place it on her other child, the boy giving a shift and grasping hold of her hand.

Futoeki looked up as another potential friend reached them, "Fuuutooowwkeee." he pointed to himself, struggling out the difficult vowels again. Tsh, why was everyone making him say it?

Prolixity
Something? Something scary! Merlyn's ears flattened abruptly against his head. With a swirl and puff of warm air, he changed shape and went leaping into his father's lap in kitten form, tail puffed. "Scary, Daddy!"

"Ah, I'm sorry, I didn't he - Merlyn? What's wrong?" Prox's other ear went back as he cradled Merlyn, glancing around the room with a frown.

"Scary thing," the kitten said. "Mad thing." He couldn't explain the burst of anger and fear, but it had frightened him. He peered at the other children to see if it had scared them too. They'd heard it, right?

Junyi
Luna heard it loud and clear. Her head jerked abruptly upward and she whirled around, hair and skirts flying as she locked eyes with Jokeph, who looked ready to fight to the death for her, grab her and run, or both.

The smile disappeared from her face.

Jo will protect us, she projected reassuringly at the other children. Me too. I'll protect you.

Akivara
At the sudden outbursts, Kita looked around in confusion, still plugging her nose; she wasn't sure if the source of the smell of blood was gone.

"Whud's goin' on? Why's eberybody scared?" she asked, sounding congested from her plugged nose.

Ruveila Hokuten
Novena took all the sudden fear around her as being because of her and the girl's lower lip trembled and she realized she had no one to run to to comfort her as the tears beagan their swift trek down her pale face. She managed to choke out a few words before going silent. " I sorry.. no mean.. to scare... going 'way now.." She managed to get out inbetween silent sobs, wrapping her arms around her knees and burying her face in her silver robe covered knees.

Arafel
Arafel jumped slightly at the sudden movement infront of her, feeling her heartbeat jump as something had just moved fast past her pup... But it was only Merlyn.... She blinked, looking a tad befuddled at the kitten-once-child. He felt it too? So it wasn't just her being paranoid then?

Futoeki looked confused at the two as they went serious suddenlly, looking even more confused as the girl's voice was in his head. He wrote that one off though... Personally, he had been too busy playing to have noticed the abrupt change in the room. But now he was staring at the other children confused and concerned. If they were scared, he should be too right? Common toddler logic afterall...

Arafel jumped in at that moment, smiling brightly as she often did when she felt awkward. "Shh..." she muttered to the group of children, hoping the parents didn't mind her butting in... "It's gone now, right? So it's okay..." She nodded, leaning her free hand foreward to rub Futoeki's dog-ear.

Futoeki grinned, loosing all signs of going into crying-save-me-from-the-bad-thing-I-don't-know-about mode as he was petted. "Uuuhn!" Futoeki whined as the new friend was going to leave, quickly acting by crawling after her and giving her a wet slobbery friendship lick.

Arafel paused to look back over her shoulder to the clogged voice, tilting her head to the side as she noticed the woman holding her nose plugged. Still, she had little to speak of since her own behaviors were far from normal. "I'm not sure." She admitted, "Just.. a bad feeling.." she turned back to the toddlers, curiously wondering why they had noticed it too and what exactly it had been.

Prolixity
Merlyn's ears came back up slowly, and he peered back over the protective circle of his father's arms. "Pro-tect?" he inquired, and lifted his head. The thoght and the accompanying feelings were comforting.

There was a girl crying! That was bad. It was bad when anyone cried. He wriggled loose and jumped down, sneaking over to bump his head against the crying girl's hand. Blue liked that, so maybe she would too.

Prox slid down to kneel on the floor and pat the girl's shoulder gently. "It'll be okay, kiddo," he said awkwardly. Where was her parent, anyway?

Junyi
Luna bit her lip, gaze flicking from Arafel to Prox, and back again. She finally turned her attention back to Arafel and tapped her temple as if to say "I hear it in my head."

With that, she idly began to brush the dust off of her dress, cautiously opening her mind again.

Akivara
Kita still hadn't made the connection between her reaction to the smell of blood and the sudden burst of fear in the room; at home, she was used to that sort of thing being private.

"So everybody's okay?" She risked letting her fingers off her nose, though kept her hand on it just in case, and sniffed. If the scent was still there, it was masked by fear, air conditioning, and other, stronger, smells.

Ruveila Hokuten
Novena felt the lick on her face and lifted her head to regard the licker and looked into Futoeki's eyes and then felt the nudge against her hand and petted the kitten form Merlyn beside her. She then looked up to the adult speaking to her. She sucked up her tears as best as she could and managed a small smile.

" Thank much.. not use to friend.. or nice people.." She spoke and then, assuming the licking was some sort of acceptance into the children's little group, she leaned over and licked Futoeki's cheek and then the side of the kitten's face. She felt hair on her tongue but just swallowed it. She tended to accidently injest her own hair all the time and it did not bother her. She then regarded Prox and bowed her head respectfully, though a smile was firmly planted on the girl's face now.

Arafel
Arafel looked at the girl curiously, her head? It took her a few seconds but realization struck her and it showed in her expression. She nodded a bit... The girl saw or heard something... She smiled to Luna, trying to be reassuring. Arafel was around children often, special children... but children none the less, and she never was one to underestimate them. So she made a mental note to watch Luna in paticular... as well as merlyn perhaps, since they both seemed to know something.

She turned back to Kita, nodding some "Yea, I think we're all fine now." She paused to look over the children. Meryln seemed to be over whatever had happend, now concerned about the girl that had felt rejected. Futoeki and Prox had done the same, thus Arafel hadn't felt a need to help in the matter. Luna seemed to be getting more comfortable as well.

Futoeki grinned as more people joined him and the lonley girl, as he had so dubbed Novena. He clapped his hands as there was a lick returned, yay now there were four friends! Life sure was good. And for the moment, Arafel's initial plan of distracting him from his missing father was working splendidly.
Futoeki wiggled with happiness, feeling the urge to play-wrestle as he often did swelling up inside him until he just cound't resist it. He promptly fell to his back, grabbing hold of the nearest object, which happend to be prox's pantleg, to chew on it harmlessly with light growling noises.

Arafel blinked at the scene "Futoeki!" she scolded, hoping he wasn't actualy biting the poor adult as she edged herself over to save the poor pants.

Prolixity
"Yeah, I think we're all okay." Relieved, Prox moved to go back to his seat, only to be halted by the sudden attachment on his leg. He blinked down at Futoeki and chuckled. "Little hunter, aren't you?" He tugged his leg gently away, smiling.

That was better. Nobody was being loud and scary anymore, and his new friend was playing. Merlyn-kitten pounced up onto the nearest chair, then flung himself back down towards Futoeki. "DEAT' FROM ABOVE!"

Junyi
Boys.

Luna simply climbed into the chair next to Arafel, peering up at her with wide brown eyes.

Why are you going to keep an eye on me? Was I bad?

Ruveila Hokuten
Novena watched Merlyn just with some accute interest. She then remebred something she loved to play with and she had it with her. She reached into the small pants under the robe and pulled out a big bouncy ball, as big as her hand almost and lobbed it at the wall. She squalled with glee as it bounced off and came back to her. She repeated the same motion and watched it sail wide and to her right.

Arafel
Arafel chuckled at the sight of the children playfighting... Indeed, boys. Not that she couldn't say she had acted the same way when she was younger...
She froze for what seemed to be the bajillionth time that day, looking back at the girl. She bit her lip, mind reading perhaps? Arafel decided to test it simply answering in a clearer than normal thought. No, not at all... I was just curious as to what you heard and I felt is all. she explained, suddenlly feeling very awkward around the child as she tried to make sure her thoughts didn't run off on something she didn't want shared.

Futoeki rolled, tail thudding against the floor of the center as he lost his prey. Drat.
He let out a loud squeal as Meryln dive bombed him, promptly pounced and quicly returning the playful actions of rolling about in a classic tussle.

Prolixity
Prox took his seat again, relaxing back now that the crisis was over. "No claws, kitten," he admonished.

Merlyn tussled with Futoeki enthusiastically, clinging to the other toddler's clothes. That wasn't using claws, right? He bristled playfully and yowled at the other child. "Get you!"

Junyi
Luna smiled faintly at Arafel, smoothing her dress. Something bad, She explained. Dangerous.

She giggled faintly as she sensed Arafel's awkwardness. If you think about something you don't want to think about, you'll think about it. You know? She tilted her head to the side. I can't hear what you don't talk about. Promise.

With a final smoothing of her dress, she smiled brightly. My name is Luna Edae.

Ruveila Hokuten
Novena trailed after the ball and caught it. She then walked back over and slammed itintot he wall again, looking freaked when it headed right for Merlyn's head. " Um.. Fire in teh hole!" She ylled as her aunt Malice had a habit of saying.

Arafel
Futoeki giggled, grabbing and hugging at his new 'foe' Rolling about with tiny yips and nips that would never actually touch Merlyn. "Nuh!" He grinned, continueing to struggle back and forth to gain the winning position of having the other pinned.

Arafel nodded a bit, rather impressed with the child's talent. Alright. I'm Arafel. I don't have a last name. She explained the missing peice of her name, smiling a bit and looking to the tussling toddlers once more. She gave a tiny shake of her head, noting the occassional fidget and whine from Iteru... All this commotion was starting to disturb his nap. Her eyes moved towards the clock on the wall.... Hm. It was nearly time for Futoeki's as well.

Nodding to herself she stood, turning to the Luna "It was a pleasure to meet you, you're very sweet." Arafel gave her a smile and a pat on the head as she often did when she found something cute and likeable. "But I think we'll have to be going..." She then turned to Prox and Futoeki's new playmate. "It was nice meeting you too..." Though something in her mind reminded her she had seen prox somewhere before. "Come on pup..."

Futoeki looked to his mother just as he was about to gain control, quickly getting pinned as he was distracted. "Nnn..." he whined, not wanting to leave, and allready slightly fussy from being close to his nap.

Arafel knelt down, holding her arms out to call him over.

Futoeki nodded, pushing himself to his feet, wobbling and falling after a step then crawling the rest of the way... Much easier. Arafel scouped him up, already he was starting to get that glazed sleepy look. With that she carefully tucked him into his part of the twin-stroller, moving it back towards the door with a wave towards everyone, somewhat releived to get away from the crowd... Even if they were all nice and good people she couldn't help but feel nervious around them.

((Sorry, had to go. :B Figured this would be a good place to wrap things up. <33 ))

Prolixity
"Nice to meet you." Prox nodded to Arafel and her children as she left. Nice woman, cute kids. A flash of motion caught his eye, and he reached out automatically to catch the speeding ball. "Careful!"

Merlyn pouted. His playmate was going away. ... And Daddy had caught the ball! He shapechanged again and held his hands out. "Mine!" The girl had bounced it towards him, after all.

Junyi
Luna yawned quietly behind one hand, watching the others play.

Before she had the chance to project any feelings of tiredness, she was already being swept up by Jokeph, who kept his eyes firmly fixated on the door as he carried her out.

He was NOT happy.

Luna did have the chance to wave at Merlyn, though.

I'll play with you later--

With that, she was gone.

It was nice to get out for a bit, we went to the GMFC center for alittle while the other day. Iteru slept through most of it, but he really enjoyed the trip there.
We met a few people... Prox and Merlyn were the first, Futoeki and Merlyn seemed to have hit it off very well... they're both about the same age, and Merlyn wasn't opposed to Futoeki's play fighting. He's even been mentioning the boys name and trying to explain him to Iteru. We'll have to set up a playdate sometime later.

There was also a little girl named luna... I was so shocked that she had a mind reading power, but she was incredibly sweet and well mannored. She also seemed to make friends with the two boys, I was really overjoyed to see the friendship-licking going on... Me and my brother would do that when we were little, but... no one else had ever accepted it. They thought we were wierd and disquisting... I'm truely happy. And I hope to mean Luna again.

There were two others there I didn't get to see real well, Novena i think it was... A little vampire child who seemed to be alone... I hope she's okay. And there was another, she was plugging her nose... and hiding from someone i think.

I also got a disturbing feeling while we were there, but to my suprise Merlyn and Luna also noticed it... They seemed so young to be noticing such things... Either way it went away in a moment, so no harm was done i hope.

Well.. I'm off to buy a video camera, hopefully i can figure out how to use it. Maybe Hatori wil help me..

Arafel
((Alrighty then! :B ))

Arafel hurried into the room, holding a blue haired sniffling toddler in her arms. The boy clung to her, even though the initial pain had subsided now it was mostly for the attention and the fact the fall had scared him. Iteru had been left behind with one of the older residents back at the house.

It had been a simple thing really, Arafel had looked away for a moment and by the time she turned around adventerous Futoeki had begun climbing the stairs only to get up high enough to go tumbling back down them. The fall had resulted in what now looked like a minor injury, but the initial suprise had Arafel headed out the door as soon as she saw it.
Really it hadn't been rational, Hatori could have done anything she would have needed for such a thing, and by the time she had gotten to the clinic the bleeding had subsided.

Oh well... Minas well get it checked over whie they were here, Arafel never had been the calmest of mothers... Fun loving, but as soon as someone got hurt it was sirens and flashing lights...

After making a quick walk in check up, and being told it might be awhile before she could get in to see anyone, she headed to the waiting room to settle herself in one of seats, placing the boy on her knee to look over the tiny bruising snippit of a cut. "Mn... You okay sweety?" she cooed, pressing her nose against his.
Futoeki sniffled once more, fighting back a smile as he reached foreward to swat at her face and hair.

XBear
Since Isto was working that day and Slush had to watch the rest of the runts, X had the pleasure of dropping off and picking her granddaughter from dance class and then taking her in for a check up at the clinic. Even though she was still in her work out clothes, the young SM's attire was both colorful and athletic.

Bag in the car, Tourmaline, who had started calling herself by her middle name, pushed the door open to the GMFC and glanced around, followed closely behind by her Babcia.

"This shouldn't take too long," the daywalker said simply as she shut the door behind her, gaze being drawn towards the faint smell of blood. Or rather, the toddler in the other woman's arms. She gave a polite nod in greeting before going to sign Tourmaline in at the front desk.

The young girl, after letting her hair down from it's pony tail, cautiously stepped over to the unknown pair. Instinctively, she kept her tail out of reach of the toddler.

Arafel
Arafel grinned as the boy pawed at her face, it was an endearing sort of act from the child. She pulled back to sit up straight, having noticed the others join them in the room. "Look, people." Well... Humanoids anyways. Who knew who was actually human or not now adays.

Futoeki ever so slowly peered around him, not sure wether to give up pouting or inspect these newcomers... His tail betrayed him as he stared at the bright colors on the child, the furry addition to his rear giving a tiny wiggle that slowly picked up speed.

Arafel couldn't help but grin wider as she watched the horrible moral delimma play out on the toddler's face. She kept her voice low, not wanting to actually bother the people around her.. just perk the boy attention to what it used to be and keep his mind off the bruise-cut on his forehead. "Who's that?"

Futoeki looked back, wiggling a bit "No kno!" he piped, voice raising suddenlly out of simple toddler lack of control, then shot his attention back to the girl Any signs of ever being hurt left his expression as he stared in wonder. Ooh she even had sparklies.

XBear
While X was busy with the receptionist, Tourmaline cocked her head to the side slightly at the combination of expressions that seemed to be conflicting across the toddler's face. In the end, she offered him a smile, letting her own tail swish behind her while still keeping it from his reach.

Tail pulling -hurt-.

"Hey there," she murmured, looking to the mother as if asking permission to play with her kid. Just like dogs, some kids weren't good around other kids and bit, or they peed when excited. Either way, the SM didn't want either possibility to transpire.

Arafel
Futoeki beamed as he was smiled at, that was a good thing. Smiling. Yes. He decided to shout some happy baby-bable, settling down when Arafel hushed him.

Arafel gave a nod to the girl, Futoeki loved playing with others... and he seemed more than interested in her, plus nothing seemed wrong with the tiny injury now.
She leaned foreward, placing the toddler on the floor. "Well go see who it is." she encouraged.

Futoeki stood for a moment, before wavering and falling on his bum. He hardly flinched though before he was moving his way towards the shiney girl. "Hiii." he announced as he reached her, tail wagging as he resisted the urge to jump her. Pouncing people wasn't always good... Not everyone liked it he had learned. A befuddling thought indeed.

LadyNyoko
((Yay! biggrin *starts typing up post*))

Looking back on the events that led her here, Nyoko still wasn't sure quite how she managed to enter the Clinic like this. She'd started to go through the door normally, when suddenly gravity decided it didn't like her, and she ended up landing on her face. Which, unfortunately, left her sprawled out on the ground, halfway through the door, with all three of her tails flopped over her back.

It was in that moment, that Nyoko decided that she was an uber-klutz...

XBear
Tourma winced at the baby babble, the loud noise hurting her ears. Thankfully, he eventually stopped, and she sighed in relief. "Hello~. What's your name?"

The vampire, being who she was, simply stepped over the fallen female on her way back from the desk. "You should probably watch your step next time," she replied cheerily before sitting down in a nearby chair within close proximity to her granddaughter.

Said child turned sharply at the crash, attempting to hide a smile at Babcia's 'advice.' "You okay?" She asked, absently wondering how someone with not one, not two, but THREE tails could have not maintained balance.

LadyNyoko
"It's a useless battle," Nyoko said lightly, pushing herself akwardly to her feet. "Me and gravity don't get along too well."

She could help her slightly embarassed laugh, and she smiled when asked if she was alright. Waving a hand absently, she made herself comfortable, plopping down on the floor with the other two children.

"I'm fine. You kinda get used to it after a while..."

She was referring, of course, to her klutzyness.

Arafel
"Fuuutowkee." He grinned, feeling well acomplished the better he got at his name. Heck he even remembered it now. Yay for him! His tail thudded against the floor of the clinic, staring up with bright aqua eyes. The crash was ignored, he did live in a house full of children. Crashes and the like weren't a big deal.

Arafel watched quietly at the falling before her, the only question that would have been right had been asked, and sometimes it was better for one's self esteem if simple mistakes like that were ignored. So she let it go.

She bristled as the woman just waltzed over and plopped next to her child, she almost felt herself growl but held it back... Mentally trying to reassure herself the stranger meant no harm... And well, if they did she would take care of it in a hearbeat. And the other parent, or relitive she wasn't sure, would probably take care of it just as fast...

So, gulping some she relaxed again... Though she kept her eyes locked firmly on the group, and would give a soft smile if the woman happend to notice her behavior... she wasn't rude or mean, just paranoid.

XBear
"I'm Sandia," she replied, ignoring the questioning look that X sent her as she introduced herself to the toddler. "Can I call you Tookee?" That seemed like a much easier version of his name for her.

His mother's behavior didn't go unnoticed, especially since Tourma too had given the strange woman a look of 'who the hell are you?' Granted she had been polite since the many tailed woman had crashed onto her face, but it wasn't like Tourma had invited her to join them. That and the SM, sensing his mother's apprehension, reached over to scoop up the toddler with surprising ease.

That was one thing she did love about the metal.

"Is that your Mommy?" She asked, pointing to the woman as she bounced him slightly against her hip.

Meanwhile, X simply ignored the other woman, picking up a magazine to read. Though, she kept an ear out just in case.

Arafel
"Saand..." he got about halfway through the pronunciation of the d and gave up, his toddler ADD distracting him. And thus, she was now San.

Tookee, hm... He looked as though he was almost thinking about it, though the pause was just for show as he'd seen adults do when asked things. "Uh-huh!" he finally decided with a nod.

Then there was a new lady next to them, but before it had fully caught his interested he was being lifted off the ground.

He let out a giggle and kicked his feet in the air as he was scouped up, being picked up was always fun. He followed the point to Arafel, tail wagging vigorously as if he had forgotten she was there and was now overjoyed to have made a new discovery. "Mammy." He repeated, giving a reach at her.

Arafel chucked a bit and waved at the easily amused boy.

LadyNyoko
Nyoko could feel her tails bristling slightly with all the stares, although she willed the fur to smooth; one of her ears flicked back to take in the many sounds of the clinic. After a long moment battling with her instinct to flee from all of the stares, she gave what she hoped was a disarming smile, bowing towards the two woman.

"Sorry if I startled you, I guess I kind of lack tact... I'm Nyoko," she said lightly, grinning towards the two children almost mischievously. In all honesty, she wasn't even truly an adult herself...

XBear
"Good enough," she replied at his attempt, giving him a thumbs up at his accomplishment, a chuckle of her own echoing his mother's as he reached for her.

At the other woman's introduction, Tourma nodded much like X had earlier, "Nice to meet you." The least she could do was be polite.

Speaking of lacking tact...

Without really putting the magazine down, or even looking up, X decided to grace this Nyoko with a reply. "Well considering you walked into a pediatric clinic and without even so much as looking at the receptionist, you made a beeline for the two children in the room and sat down... With no notice to the adults in the room, I might add. I'd say the little one's mother has a reason to be nervous. It is rather suspicious."

Arafel
Futoeki turned his attention to the stranger, having no such paranoa's as his mother did... She was over there, so nothing could possibly go wrong. He smiled and gave a flail of his arms, what seemed to be an attempted wave, then turned his attention back to the shiney girl. She was by far the most interesting... So many colors. He liked colors. "Pway?" he questioned, tail wagging with a genuine puppy-like look.

Arafel shook her head, "Oh no... I just... I get nervious around strangers, that's all." She smiled awkwardly, ignoring the fact that when the other guardian had put it so bluntly it did seem sort of suspicious... But the woman looked harmless. "Futoeki loves to meet new people."

LadyNyoko
Nyoko gave a somewhat nervous laugh at X's comment, idly scratching at the side of her face with a slight blush.

"To be honest with you, I've been hoping to get the courage to come in here for a while. But, seeing as I know I don't have the gold to get an appointment, I never really did. That is, until my natural curiousity about the people here got the better of me," she explained lightly, her tails flicking idly behind her. "But, I suppose I can understand why you'd be nervous."

She grinned abashedly, her ears flicking forward towards Arafel, Futoeki, and Tourmaline.

XBear
Tourma made a sort of snorting, choking noise as she tried to hide her amusement at her grandmother's explanation, managing to disguise it as a coughing fit rather easily. This was why she regularly visited Babcia. Period.

"Sure Tookee, what do you want to play?" The Skullmonkey replied to the toddler's question, bouncing him somewhat and crossing her eyes at him. Her tail swished behind her now that she was sure he wasn't going to try and rip it off.

X finally set down the issue of Good Housekeeping that she was reading and looked at Nyoko, "Babies can still be born at the hospital you know. Unless you're gay, like my son." The second statement was added after a pause, and she gave the girl a hard look. "I know from experience."

Arafel
((Sorry that took so long. My ex decided to pop out of the wood work and bother me with how he's a rich rockstar. XD))

Arafel decided to stay out of that one, she had tried to reassure that she wasn't as upset as she seemed.. though nerviousness was still settled in her stomach, she simply ignored it.

"Aa..." Futoeki crooked his head to the side. He'd never been asked what to play before.. people would just do it.

Arafel quickly caught this, piping in for the toddler "He'll often playfight with his brother... and he enjoys.." she paused for the breifest of moments, hoping that the comment wouldn't sound too wierd. "He likes things like tug of war too, but he'll generally hold it with his teeth... Really he'll do anything, won't you?" she smiled at the boy.

Futoeki giggled at some of his favorite games, he did reconize names of them... Just couldn't remember to repeat them. He'd wiggle in responce to the question, just adoring all the attention.

XBear
"Oh, well I'm..." She trailed off, motioning to the metal fleck on her cheek, "I'd crush him if we wrestled." A slight frown overtook her features before glancing around to see if there was something they could play 'tug of war' with other than her tail, which she had moved away from the little one again.

Before she could come up with a legitimate object to play with, a nurse came out and called Tourma's name. She gave the little one an apologetic look as she returned him to his mother, wiggling her fingers at him as she stood back up. "If you ever need me to babysit or just want to visit," Tourma started, stealing a pen from the receptionist's desk and scribbling a number and address on a post it, "Here's my number and address. It was great meeting you all."

With that, her and Babcia disappeared behind the door to the examination rooms.

Arafel
Futoeki was one of the miracle children that knew just how much tails hurt when tugged at, he frowned as his new friend was leaving. "Nnn.." he whined softly, at the same time latching onto his beloved mother and snuggling up against her.
Arafel smiled, taking the paper and pocketing it after a quick glance. "Of course.. I'm sure futoeki would really enjoy that sometime." She smiled, running her hand through the little boy's hair to distract him from the current horror of a friend leaving. "You'll see her again." She reassured.

Futoeki contented somewhat as he was petted "NNn.. Kaay."

As they dissapered Arafel was suprised to hear Futoeki's name called quickly after. "Oh looks like we got in early.. perfect timing, huh?"

Futoeki looked at her curiously, not quite getting it but smiling and giggling anyways.

Arafel smiled to herself, having finally suceeded in ripping forth the video camera from it's box... The last time she had tried she had to leave the room for scissors, and by the time she got back Futoeki had injured himself... Which resulted in a trip to the clinic. He had turned out fine, no signs of a concusion or any sort of problem... He simply got a colorful bandaid to stick on his forehead.

But now... Victory was hers! The children were safe, and the camera was out. All was well... For a few moments anyways.

Arafel frowned as she glanced over the instructions of the machine... It was like trying to read a forign language. Wait... That was a forign langauge. "Oh..." she mumbled to herself, flipping to the other end of the book to find the english version, just happy no one was around to notice that mistake.
After a few moments of reading she let out a low whine, even in english it didn't make sense. Arafel was anything but electronic savvy.

She shifted in a childish pout, looking at the device that lay before her. The wings on her head shifted in annoyance, before she broke the stare. "Hatooriii!" she whined out, calling to the young man that was possibly older than her in actions and behavior. Even though he wasn't 18 yet and she was what? 130...?

Theman eventually emmurged from his "office" looking relitivly displeased. Though it only took a pathetic look and the raising of the video camera before he caught on. With a light sigh, he took the camera.

----------

It wasn't but a half an hour later he had the camera on, Arafel was curiously looking over it. "So many buttons... And lights. And what's this?"

"Thats the scope... You look through it to see what you're recording."

"Oh..." Arafel peered through it. "So i see what the camera sees?"

"Basically."

She nodded, looking up over the camera to the twins, who were staring at it in curiosity as well. "Alright," she knelt down smiling at the two. They had both been in the middle of playfighting on their colorful baby-mat, when Arafel's facination of some big black thing caught their eye. "Waaasaa?" Futoeki started, pointing at the object.
"It's a video camera." Arafel grinned
"Beebeeoo?" Futoeki tried to mimic,
"Vi-de-o." Arafel repeated, slower.
"Vibio."
"Close enough..." She gave them a thumbs up, causing the easily amused toddlers to giggle. "See... The camera copies what you do on a tape. Just like you see on TV, so then we can put you on TV for Daddy to see when he gets back."
"Daddy!" the two childen shouted in chorus, tails wagging.
"So say hi, okay?"
"Hii!" once again, in unison they shouted up to the odd black thing Hatori was holding, not fully getting it.. but if it went to daddy then they were all for it.

Arafel smiled, watching Futoeki start rambling in a hardly understandable slurr that resembled english. Then iteru joined him, albit a bit more timidly.

Then somethign strange happend, Arafels eyes widened in excitment as the blue haired boy stood with his talking, taking a few wobbly steps foreward. "Futoeki.. you! Aa!" Arafel squealed in delight, scooting foreward from her knelt position with her arms out. "C'mere." she called, wondering how far he could get.
With a tail wag, futoeki was making his way to her.. stumbling here and there until he finally made it the massive few feet to her, allowing himself to fall when she reached out to catch him. Arafel smiled, fluffing the boys hair to praise him. "Good job! Aa I'm so proud. Hatori did you get that?" she looked up, receiving a nod and half a smile from the man.

Iteru had been left behind, and losing attention... The solution? Mimic Futoeki. With a bit more trouble he was standing, then toddling over the same path as Futoeki had gone.

"Aa!? Iteru! C'mon!" she coaxed, shifting futoeki to one arm and reaching out the other for the next boy. Soon he reached her too. Arafel scouping him into her arms as he got close enough. "You did wonderful too... I'm so proud of you both. Just wait til your dad sees." She smiled, nuzzling the two tail-wagging tots.

I learned how to use a camera today! A video one... Its really amazing. Hatori showed me... I bet Freize will be proud when he gets back.... They're walking now! and making words... I'll start recording more often now, so that Freize doesn't have to miss too much...

I don't know why he's gone. I know it must be important.... Something... drastic. He'd never have left his family otherwise... I don't care how some can see him, I know his heart... Neither of us are monsters or brutes. We're great parents!

Since its just me now, I'll prove that. Iteru and Futoeki will have a happy family... As will our other kids, adopted or not. And... Freize can see when he gets back now, since I have this video camera!

...I hope he gets back soon.

It was a nice day out, a cool breeze with the sun shining, only a few puffy clouds decorating the sky... and, naturally, on such a day one could only bring their toddlers out into their lovely back yard. The rest of the horde was playing nearby as well, except for those like Evarobby... who had taken to merely staring out the window hoping to see Freize walk up... Arafel was almost inclined to follow suit, but... No! She had to be strong... And seeing her little "pups" so to speak rolling around in the grass in excitement, testing out their wobbly legs was enough to warm anyone's heart, no matter how lonely.

It would be Futoeki who wandered the farthest, toddling around, ignoring each and every mistake that led to his rump hitting the dirt. The grass was soft enough to cushion it anyways, so it hardly phased him. Iteru was following in a slower mannor, looking back at Arafel every once in a while to make sure everything was still safe... that mom was still there, before taking a few more timid steps. Their personalities were blooming already, even if they had been identical twins they'd be easy to distinguish apart, the mother thought to herself.

It was there that something white caught his eye... Futoeki smiled to himself, enjoying the white standing out strongly against all the green, the bright pretty colors intrigued him... and furthermore, what was this pretty little object. Curious as any toddler, he thumped into a sit, awkwardly reaching an arm over to grab up the item and pull it into his lap. It was almost as big as him! Iteru was equally amazed and curious as his brother found some strange new object, and forgetting his safety of looking over his shoulder, he hurried forward to inspect it as well.

Despite the size of the object, Futoeki's first idea was to... well... insert this item into his mouth. He'd seen it, felt it, there was no obvious smell or sound so.... all that was left was taste! That was where Arafel was up to her feet, hurrying over to the two to make sure they didn't put anything harmful into their mouths.... and... what on earth. "What did you find there?" she mumbled to the two, sliding between them to pry the white object away from his child. Upon further inspection it was... an egg.... Oh god, not another one! "... Well... I suppose its fate huh guys?" the two toddlers merely blinked at her, only smiling to the tone of her voice. "Lets get this inside and safe..." and with that, she began the process of getting the children and an egg inside safe and sound.

It was a normal day... Normal events... Which meant, nothing was happening. The twins were growing up right infront of her eyes. That and the camera lense. Once a week she was recording them, taking more video, writing thigns down and stacking them with the others. But weeks turned into months, and months teetered on into a new year... And she waited, but no one appeared in that doorway to watch those videos.

And thus... We reached today, today... the last day. Fingers tightly gripped the wooden rim of a frame, under the protective glass laid a picture, atop the glass laid salty droplets of water. Tears had found their way out of dry eyes once again, while all the kids were in bed, before the birds had woken to sing a joyous song as the sun came up, in the lonliness of the night she had taken to mourning what she could only assume was the loss of her love.

A normal day.

Sleep had left her, the days started trudging on at a slower pace, but what was she to do? The thought that kept her up most nights... What should she do? What? What was it that would stop it... How could she fix it? All that and more would drown her mind, choking her soul in a sense. Daily activities had become pained, she leaned on the older of their houseguests to help in the simpliest of things. Cooking, cleaning, she tried to keep a smile for the sake of the children, but with every night lacking sleep it was becoming even obvious to them.

Now she was thinking again, trying to fix it... Figure out the puzzle before her. But there was no puzzle, no peices to fit together. There was one fact, he was gone, and there was no way she could find him. She had to move on-- But... What if he came back tomorrow? What if when she gave up he'd pop through that door and everything would be fine?

Bloodshot eyes drifted to said door, her throat tightened, then... it all faded.

Pupils dialated, suddenly everything felt distant, the picture in her hands... Like it wasn't hers. She gave it a look over.. But it was hers. This was her bed... This was her house... That was her mate. But it felt so.. Surreal. Like she'd just been watching a movie.

Eyes moved around the room curiously, as if seeing it for the first time. Stopping as they caught sight of a mirror hanging from the wall for decoration... Goodness, look at her, she was a wreck. Lips pursed into a frown, fingers lifting to twist around the short hair. Shrugging it off while the urge to sleep started to overpower her brain, she gave a last glance to the photo in her hand. "Worked for a little while... It's a shame, really." With that, the photo was dropped to the other side of the bed, and she let herself fall back into the sheets to catch up on some well needed rest.

I feel weird. Like.. This is all my handwriting, but it feels like I didn't write it. Maybe I'm just kinda off from all that lack of sleep? That must be it...

But I slept well lastnight, atleast. And everyone ate well, it's a wonderful family. I'm glad no ones hostile to them or anything. It's a nice world, really, things have changed so much...

And Iteru... Futoeki. They're just... Darling. I can't beleive they're mine. I mean.. I have kids. I thought I never would.

I'm letting my hair grow out too... Not too long, but not as "scrappy" as it is now.

Time had gone by, now the two were grown... Futoeki, despite being fairly young, had learned enough about the egg he had found to be incredibly curious about it. Thus far it had consisted of Arafel being forced to read book after book about the care of eggs... when should it be hatching, how soon? Why? Why? Why? The questions kid loved to ask. And now... once again, he was feeling impatient, staring at the small warm nest they'd made for the unknown creature. Iteru was sick again... sleeping it off... and thus, Futoeki was left to entertain himself. Thus, he went straight for the egg. Inside the egg contained a living creature... It still baffled him. How could something alive fit in a little itty bitty egg? And why hadn't it hatched yet! He gently placed his hand against the shell, as his mother had shown him, waiting to feel the little creature move... shift. There it was! His tail wagged in excitement, bouncing happily. It was still alive... that was good.

"Can you hear me?" he questioned it, hoping to feel another movement.... there! "Yah!" he grinned, "My names FOO-TOE-KEE. My brothers name is EE-TEH-ROO. My mommy is AIR-A-FELL. And my daddy is FUH-REE-SS. I haven't seen my daddy.... But mommy says I will one day! ... I wonder where your mommy and daddy are..." he mumbled, watching the egg and drawing his hand away...

Was this it? The creature inside the egg could feel a moment... the moment iit had been waiting for. Something inside it churned, a feeling of saftey... Something calling to it? Yes, yes now was time... Time to leave.

As he spoke, the boy was cut off eyes going wide as the egg wiggled visibly. What... Oh! Oh a crack! "MOM MOM!!" he screamed in excitement, jumping up and down as energy filled his veins, almost enough to make him burst. His eyes stayed locked to the white shell, even as he jumped and his head turned slightly wanting his mother to appear in the doorway.

Before she could arrive though, the creature popped free of its binds, wiggling and dragging its little eyes open to lock against the humanoid before her... Hello, her eyes seemed to say, as she tried to free herself further. In absolute awe, Futoeki moved forward... Eyes sparkling "... Hello... You heard me, huh?!"

The loud shouts got his mom in faster than anything, even if she was too late to see that hatching, more in fear that he was hurt somewhere or... oh but... he was fine... "ITS HATCHED. LOOKLOOKLOOKLOOK!!" he yelled some more, reaching out to pluck her into his arms, only to cradle it as his mom reminded him to be careful.

She looked between them, the foreign animal snuggling closer to her new bond... her parent, of sorts, even though he was still a child himself it made no difference. Arafel blinked at the sight... Something was magical about it... As if they were close right from the start. She smiled softly "You have to take good care of it! You're its daddy now..."

"Me?" he looked up, wide eyed... yeah. "Okay...!"

Checkup Apt

Arafel
Even before the door opened one could hear the echo of a mother trailing after two giggling voices. "Dont-Hey-SlowDown-Iteru!-Futoeki!-N-h-Come back here! No that- This door!" The words were jumbled and broken into a poor form of language only another parent could understand.

Finally the door opened, two children locked in an avid game of tag, the darker looking of the two, Futoeki, darted in first, automatically leaping up onto one of the couches of the waiting room with a joyful laugh.
Following close behind with an arm outstreached, Iteru paused at the couch, grinning ear to ear with a 'i'm gonna get you!' look.

And last, the pointy eared mother, silver hair now trailing raggedly down to her shoulders as she tried to grow it out. However she didn't look as happy as the two children, while at first they'd just been idling time and that had been alright, now they were up on the couch. With a stern voice she abruptly put a stop to the game, "Futoeki Kyomutentan you sit down this instant, you too Iteru."

The game came to a screeching hault when he heard his last name, that was the universal sign that you were in trouble. He dropped where he stood, butt ploping into the cushion to stare wideeyed at their mother. Iteru did roughly the same, practically jumping onto the couch to sit himself down in a perfect posture and stare as well.

She gave them both a little frowm, before smiling. "Behaive yourselves." She warned "I'm going to go check in." The pair of eyes followed their mother as she moved over to the counter. As soon as she picked up the pen Futoeki gave Iteru a rough elbow, grinning, and holding back a laugh. His twin only frowned "Stoppit!"

Cajmera
...Wow. Sitting in the toy corner of the waiting room, Remy had been busily constructing a tower out of blocks (well, not so much a tower as a castle complex, complete with out walls and a bridge, something he was very proud of), but that task had rather abruptly lost its interest as the noisy pair of kids had burst into the room.

Sitting cross-legged on the floor with the blocks, he watched with something akin to amazement as the two other boys bounced around, marveling at their high energy and how they just did things. That was so cool!!!

Even though he'd been told that staring was rude, he couldn't help the fact that he was doing that now. After all, these were strangers; he'd never once seen them here at the clinic before, and he'd been here a lot. And they looked different, too; they had horns, and halos, and...other things. So cool!

Arafel
Futoeki gave his twin another nudge, just tempting fate, a fun passtime. He earned another whine from his twin, and thus gave up, glancing around the room and kicking his feet. "The couch is boring, lets go over there." He muttered to Iteru, pointing to the imfamous toy corner, and a boy that resided in it.

Iteru's gaze followed, the toys sparked his intrest, but the stranger didn't, his tail shifted trying to curl between his legs, only curling up around the side since under was impossible. "But... Mom said to sit here." He argued.

Futoeki frowned some... That was true. It was bad to get mom mad... "But..." His ears folded back as he stared loningly at the toys and potential playmate. He mulled it over a moment... Aha! Easy fix. "Mom! Moooom~" He tried to peer back at her without lifting his rear from the couch cushion. If he didn't lift it she couldn't get mad at him!

Arafel was mid sheet, only to have her thought process interupted by a series of "mom"s Blinking once as her brain got caught between two thoughts, she spun back to eye the couch they were settled in. "Yes?"

"Can we go play with the toys?" His tail wagged in anticipation.

"Ah.. Sure." She gave a wave of the pen in hand, turning back to the sheet, it was just a standard thing for returning patients, a recap of any new medical issues.

It didn't take two seconds for Futoeki to get off the couch, grab his brother by the wrist, and bound across the room. "Hi!" He greeted cheerfully, "I'm Futoeki. This is Iteru. Iteru's shy, but I'm not." He announced practically to the whole room. "Who're you? Can we play too?"

Iteru twisted under the grasp, giving a awkward little smile to the boy as he was introduced curdely. "Futoeki..." He muttered, he wasn't that shy... Not really. It was just weird meeting new people, thats all.

Cajmera
As soon as the other boys had looked over in his direction, Remy had realized that he must be staring and hastily looked away, busying himself once again with the blocks. After all, they might not like to be stared at. His sister Kaja hated it when people stared at her, so maybe those boys were the same? Anyway, he had a castle to build.

That didn't mean that he didn't have one ear perked in that direction, though...and as soon as he heard the sound of running feet his freckled face broke into a wide grin. Kids, real kids his own age! Luna was cool and all, but she was old. Sorta. And there really weren't a lot of other kids around ever, so he'd gotten used to occupying himself on his own whenever he was here; but not today!

As the darker boy introduced the two of them, Remy dropped the blocks he was holding and gave both of them a wave. "Hi Iteru and...Futoeki." That was a long name, alright! Kinda like his. "I'm Remin'ton, but you can call me Remy. I'm just makin' a castle; you can build stuff too if you want, these are really great blocks!"

As he spoke, he indicated with a proud gesture his work so far, the neat towers and bridges. That nice doctor lady had given these to him a while back, and now he took every chance to play with them. Though that didn't mean he couldn't share! "D'you guys like blocks?"

Arafel
Futoeki was already grinning ear to furry ear, tail wagging behind him excitedly. Remy. Easy enough. He didn't bother to remember the full thing. His eyes moved to the mentioned castle, "Oh wow!" he exclaimed. He never made a castle that big before, normally he just made somethign big enought o pretend he was godzilla and knock down. The thought to knock that one down entered his mind, but it was quickly shoved away, you can't just knock down a castle that fancy. "We got some at home but not this many." He ploped into a sit, grabbing one of the stray blocks and eyeing the archetectual problem trying to find a vacant spot.

Iteru had slunk behind his sibling breifly, slowly edging out at the nice welcome, see it wasn't that bad... and that castle looked really cool. He found himself staring at it, smiling alittle, tail starting a wag that was minor compared to Futoeki's. "I do." he nodded, moving forward to inspect it. "Do you have a stable yet? For the Knights horses?" His voice wavered alittle, but the smile looked promising. Castles were awesome. He fell into a sit beside Futoeki.

Cajmera
"Well, these blocks are super-special-cool. One of the lady doctors here brought them once, and she's super-smart so it makes sense that these blocks are super-cool." Maybe from a more mature mental view that little description wouldn't make much sense, but to Remy the connection was completely logical. If you were smart you had good toys, end of story. And these two seemed like they were appreciative of his castle, alright!

Brushing his red hair out of his face, Remy shook his head in response to the white one...Iteru? Yeah, he was Iteru, cause he was white. "No stable...I was just workin' on the castle and the bridge. But I guess it really needs a stable, huh? Cause otherwise the horses would have to live inside, and I bet the mama of the castle wouldn't like that!" Giggling at the idea of horses trotting around inside and sitting on the couch, Remy found himself wondering briefly how that would work. One thing was certain, his Mama probably wouldn't like that much!

Tilting his head curiously at Iteru, Remy was quick to push some of the blocks his way. "D'you know what size a good castle stable would be?" How many horses did castles have, usually?

Arafel
((Sorry this one took so long, the movie scrooged was distracting me. XD))

Super-special-cool eh? The twins boguht right into it as only children could. Afterall that logic made perfect sense, super-smart was super-cool.. Like Einstien. He may have looked funny, but he had super-cool stuff.

Iteru's smile widened, relaxing into the social situation when his idea wasn't shot down. He didn't know why, but it was a nagging fear in the pit of his stomach. But the mental image of horses living inside their own house made a goodhearted laugh escape him. "She wouldn't." He agreed, getting a few blocks that were pushed to him and starting to set them up on a vacant spot on the castle's side. "Hm... I dunno." He paused to think on it a moment "How many knights does this castle have? They should all have a horse. Or two..." He gave another thoughtful look.

Futoeki took to adding a block into a blank spot on the bridge he had been previously working on, then focusing on the topic at hand. "Uhh... A castle this big should have Uhm... A hundred knights!" he laughed alittle, knowing quite well it was an obscure amount, but hey... It was a block castle, why not have that many?

Cajmera
((hehe, that's ok XD ))

Remy had been trying to figure out how many knights there'd be when Futoeki's blithe answer drew him up short. A hundred knights? Wow, that was such a huge number; they'd nee a lot of bedrooms, even if they shared! And that would be a lot of food...and hopefully none of them hogged the bathroom like his sister did, or that could be really bad! Or maybe they'd each have their own bathroom; it was a HUGE castle after all. And the king was probably rich enough.

Grinning at Futoeki, Remy pointed his way in response to Iteru's question. "A hunnert! Then they can fight away anybody who ever tries to take over the castle. But that would mean a hunnert horses, wouldn't it? That'd be a REALLY big stable. Like, this big!" Leaning back on his heels, Remy stretched his arms out as far as they could go. He'd never seen a horse for real, but he knew that they were big and probably needed a lot of room. However, that made him think... "I dunno if we have enough blocks for that many though, hm?"

Arafel
Iteru's jaw dropped, a hundred?! That was alot of knights. But then again.. it was a huge castle. And a hundred knights would be pretty awesome, no one would mess with that! "Alright!" He chirped, starting to stack more blocks up along the side... But not enough blocks made him stop. Hm. What a horrible problem.

Futoeki wiggled in his spot with excitment, sometimes it was just so hard to stay still... "I know. They can have a big feild! And and then they can spend their time out there. And uhm... When it rains they can have little horse umbrellas!" he nodded sagely.

Cajmera
Flopping down on his stomach, Remy propped his head up on his fists and scrutinized the stable area curiously. They definitely weren't gonna have enough blocks...

Futoeki's solution seemed ok, mostly. Except for one thing. "How're they gonna hold the umbrellas if they don't got hands?"

Arafel
((Goodnight~ :3 And thankee! *goes ahead and wraps it here*))

Futoeki shrugged, "They don't hold them, I saw these hats that had umbrellas on them, and people wore them, we could give them those.. Or or we could attach beach umbrellas to their backs."

Iteru snickered at the thought of hoses with brightly colored umbrellas strapped to their backs.

But before the children's plans could go all the way through, Arafel had long ago finished the paperwork, and now there was a nurse calling them in for their checkup. "Futoeki and Iteru..?"

"That's us." Arafel perked up, moving to her feet. "Come on, you can come help with the blocks if he's still here alright?"

"Alright..." was a doubled answere mixed with a bit of sorrow. And just when they were making some knights horses wear umbrellas too.. "See ya Remy" Futoeki called, running back to Arafel to burn off some of that energy that had built up. Iteru gave a wave "Bye!" and followed, slower and more sluggish than his twin.

Holiday split ups

Fingers idly rubbed a temple, a deep frown etched into her face, papers laid out on the table infront of her. Bills... Bills bills bills and more bills... She couldn't afford any of it. One could only last so long on one income, and finally the mass of kids she and Freize had taken in had overcome her ability to produce for them. With two parents working it was fine... But not like this, even some of the older kids were offering to help but she just couldn't.

Hatori chose to move out, taking Yuki with him, they kept in contact still. Ajani had stayed, and took to lazily helping about the house. As for the children their conditions only seemed to worsen as their state did. Her own kids had remained fairly calm throughout the mess, they missed Freize, and most of all missed the way their mom used to radiate cheer when he was around, but it wasn't the same hurt the ones Freize had adopted held. Evarobby and Spiro were the most torn, neither were the same... Completely and utterly heartbroken, both retreating into a world in their mind, often staring at objects in the house that reminded them of their passed father, or staring out the window waiting his return. Chael and Cougar seemed too young to understand, some of the others had grown and left, such as Umi and Tallis.

Grey eyes scanned over the numbers apon numbers, bright red letters that declayered "last notice!" As much as it killed her to break apart "the pack", there was no choice... If she kept them now it would just be for herself. With a deep inwardly torn sigh, she lifted herself from her seat, moving to the phone and only praying it hadn't gone out yet, she dialed a number, "Hello...? Yes... I beleive you adopted a child out to my..eh, husband; Freize..." She paused, swallowing hard and waiting for them to check their data. "About that..."

A new home

"Alright.. Here we are..." She eyed the apartment number, her key, doublechecking that they matched, and fussing with the complicated task of balancing boxes, an Ilori, and turning a key in a lock. It gave a click, and then the door poped open, giving a loud creak of protest.

The room that greeted them was less than pretty, the white walls had tints of brown where rust and mold had managed to climb up away from an invisible source of water. Arafel's smile wavered, stepping in and greeted with a damp musky smell. "Okay we have some leaking issues... but that's okay." She tried, moving to set the box in a corner.

The children that followed her in didn't complain, all biting their tongues in a classic "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Colette followed in first, placing her own pink bag alongside the box. Taikobo was next, with a box, and a strange ring tailed creature perched on his shoulder. He was also first to speak, "Can I call Yuki now?" he asked, giving a cute puppy dog eyes look to his mother. "Not yet... We don't have phone service. Maybe I cna find some change for you to use the payphone though..." She frowned alittle, shifting Ilori who was tightly curled against the warmth of her mom. Akira was soon in as well, eagerly moving past everyone after dropping his bag square on the middle of the floor, and checking the room out. And last were Iteru, moving in first with a wrinkled nose, and then Futoeki, with Takala at his side. THey too added their boxes to the pile, and Futoeki paused to shut the door behind him.

Arafel turned to the group, giving a weak smile, and running a shakey free hand through her hair. She'd had to sell their last house just to make enough to pay those bills and make it here... Hopefully now they could though. "We only have a few beds... So Colette, you'll be sleeping with Ilori. Taikobo and Akira, and Iteru and Futoeki. You'll have to share beds, and Colette and Ilori get their own room because they're girls." She explained, earning an aw from a few of the boys "Nownow... You guys get the bigger room, so go get your stuff set up!" She shouted the last, as though it might now be a contest, and eagerly, the boys took said implication of a contest and were rushing off with their things to the bigger room with a bed on either side.

Colette didn't run off, instead smiled and held her arms out to take Ilori. There was a toddler shift, which Ilori didn't seem to mind, instead more happy about this unpacking compitition. "Ilori help~" She chimed in to Colette, who nodded and grinned "Alright!" Gathering up her bag in one hand she headed off to the room "We get our own room, isn't that cool?"

Arafel held her smile until the children moved on into their rooms, then promptly dropped it as they all dissapered. Her head was pounding... and so, with the kids at that task, she moved over to her new bed; the couch, and plopped down, eyes falling shut. She still had to wire the phone line, buy god knew what to clean up that smell... it couldn't be healthy! And then Christmas was coming up... Her thoughts spun around like that a bit, until finally everything shut off to let her doze off for a few moments of peace.
