In the Batman comics, the Joker never had a real name. "Jack Napier" came into play when Tim Burton came out with Batman. The cartoon series, which came out a few years later, only had one episode that mentioned the Joker's real name ("Dreams in Darkness").

When writing in Hiragana (japanese), the symbol following the subject of the sentence is "ha", however, in this case, it is pronounced "wa". The character usually used for the sound "wa" is not used to indicate the grammatical structure of a sentence.
The average human being spends YEARS waiting in lines throughout their lifetime.
Tomatoes were once thought to be poisonous, because the juices secreted acids potent enough that they reacted with the pewter-made plates of the olden days and produced toxic fluids.
The mouth of a dog or wolf has less harmful bacteria than that of the average human being.
For years fruits and vegetables were thought to be of very little nutritional value because of their extremely high water content. (About 98% on average.)

The Huns were known to bathe in the urine of their horses.
It has been proven over time that the majority of asbestos is not actually cancer-causing. The "white" and "blue" asbestos, which have always been commonly used as insulation, have not been observed to increase the odds of cancer in its miners. On the other hand, "brown" asbestos, which is usually found in Africa and has never actually been as commonly used because it is more difficult to utilize, does cause cancer and is now rarely mined because of this health effect on the miners.
