Ali nodded in response to Destiny as they walked on. She knew this all too well. Though she was happy to hear someone speak to her. Company wasn't something she had for long. No, Ali was alone most of the time, ever since her aunt was killed.

"So what is the rest of your story?" Destiny asked as they neared the end of town.
Her footsteps were sure and along the quick side. She kept her eyes open for anything that might look suspicious.

A sigh left Ali’s lips. She had a feeling that this subject would come up. “Well, my parents died when was really little. My aunt Vida took my brother and me in. Then two years ago I found her dead, drained of all her blood.” Ali paused and then continued, “I’m not sure, but it might have been him, my brother. That’s why I’m looking for him. I just want to know what happened that day.” Ali sighed again while keeping an eye on her surroundings.

Weh they got to the edge of town the sounds of the swamp began to become audible.

"Eh, it's alright. Life's life," Ali said in a thoughtful tone. So much truth was force into that phrase. Life was life, and there was no way to change it. Surely Destiny understood her word's well. Ali took in a deep breath through her nose. The smell of the swamp was prevailent and she could hear the sloshing of water. They were close.

Bending down to tie her shoes Destiny groaned.
"I have always hated trompping around muddy messes like this one.
Well we better move forward, watch out for snakes and critters like that."
As soon as they entered the trees things started to get really quiet.

Ali stopped to wait for Destiny while she tied her shoe. “I have a feeling those critters are the least of our worries,” she remarked as a smirk skated across her face. As they entered the trees Ali took noted the silence as a precursor to what would come, whether good or bad. Her eyes constantly searched about for danger, waiting for something, anything out of the ordinary.
