3. BS--EWY (80s arena rocker who occasionally hit paydirt)
4. BS--H (murdered rapper with a weight problem)
5. BS--TWWW (tiresome diva with a good voice and a big mouth)
6. BS--IM (is this too easy?)
7. BS--FT (obscure, deep-voiced R&B artist who provided supporting vocals for both Ernie K. Doe and Earl King)
8. BS--LS (agreeable 70s pop from former Steve Miller Band member)
9. BS--TLIAM (absurdly named 90s outfit)
10. BS--JJAW (member of 80s rockabilly outfit with solo swing work)

I guess everyone has given up on the first song of my initial list. The correct response is "Der Kommissar" by After the Fire. Is this not a well-known song or was I just lucky because a Google search for ATF yielded only references to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. I hadn't expected it to be a stumper, but there we are.
