XD This one was Ely's pick, and I guess I misinterpreted the color. ^_^ *goes to fix*)) mrgreen wahmbulance (( xd I only went by the breeds you told me on AIM, dearie. xd I just chose the gold head creamy peach, instead of the snow head. We already have a snow head. 4laugh ))

Baptiste turns his head toward the dark gypsy who'd spoken to Tamlin and him. "We'd like an audience with you, sister," he says smoothly, bowing, "But we're content to wait until you're finished with your current task."

Menelie Caroline holds up a finger to the young woman. She'd respond in a moment. "Rojiza Fidelia," she says firmly. "Do we really need another bloody Banya bird?"Rojiza looks at her mother as if she is exceptionally dull. She nods.Caroline throws up her hands. She can't resist her silent daughter. Plus she thinks the green one Ro has her eye on is magnificent. "Verra well," she says. "How much for the glowing green one?" She laughs and responds to the girl's earlier remark. "Silly gypsies indeed," she agrees. "What's a Peror or Peress?" she asks, feeling rather stupid. "110. Beautiful little fortune, isn't she? I think she's a darling. But that's just me. I think all Banyas are darling. Oh, and..." she laughed again, "my you gypsies travel so wide around all civilization. The Peror is the current ruler of the region to the south of here- that's why there are so many Corphori around here, and Ztilors. Every other generation of ruler is the opposite sex. So this time, a Peress is being chosen to rule."

Gwynna laughed as well. In her opinion, goats weren't good for much, even eating. "Imagine," she responded dryly. "And how much are you asking for that lovely creamy one?"
Babbling happily, Nusa sucked on a fist. "Wah," she stated, her dark eyes bright.
"How will the Peress be chosen?" Gwynna asked. She was unfamiliar with the southern lands.

Tamlin curtsied "forgive us if we have interrupted, we both for different reasons wish to join with your caravan when it departs the city. If you are busy currently please return to your business mine is not pressing adn can wait until your is finished"
Tamlin looked over at Baptiste, she was uncertain whether his business was pressing or not, but being rude was no way to begin a relationship with someone you desired help from.

Sippa, the one with the Banyas, gave the prices to those who asked. Then she explained.
"Oh, the scepters of talent and virtue will be handed out to those who Express themselves within the city gardens- and then they will connect them. At the end, only the most pure scepter will remain. The others will fall. That shall be the Peress."

Oh dear. It's a she. "We do," she agrees. "We've come from the Highland Gelms and through the Twiggle forest," she says. "I'm originally from the Gelms, meself, and so it was nice to travel so close to home." She looks down at the almost neon baby bird and sighs. "Perhaps ye'd be willing to let her go for 80 couplets?" she suggests, still smiling warmly. She'd ask about Banyas' breeding habits if she ended up purchasing it.

Caroline looks at the she-Banya. It is darling. She shakes her head. "Heaven help me," she says. "Before I agree, I've one question. Ro an' I've already got two Banyas--both male. Will we, um...be expectin' any Banya bairns when the wee lass has grown?"
Rojiza giggles. She hadn't thought of that. How fun, to have baby Banyas!

Tamlin turned to Baptiste "what IS your reason for wanting to join the caravan? you seem to be well outfited ot travel on your own. we have time while the caravan mother finishes her business..."
She gave him a look that she hoped would guilt him out of his reticence to speak."...and t'would be fair, for you know my reason and far more of me then you have shared of you."

Baptiste nods guiltily. "I suppose that's true. I've always been a gypsy, but the head of the last caravan I was a part of passed from this world." He pauses for a moment out of respect for the caravan head he'd looked up to. "We were a trading caravan, and so instead of forcing someone to try and fill Thomas Patrick's shoes, we fragmented." He shrugs lightly. "Each member took some of the wares and went his own way." Absentmindedly he strokes the neck of Tamlin's horse. "A magnificent animal," he remarks.

"Oh" Tamlin said simply "I'm sorry, its always hard to leave family no matter how it is formed."
She was silent for a moment and then blushed as he complimented Brid. "y..yes" she stuttered, "Brid is a magnificent horse." She stopped again, trying to think of something to say to fill the awkward silence.
"my... my father made sure each of us, my two older brothers and I, had a good horse to carry us on our wanderings. uuum... its tradition for our family that reaching 17 to travel on our own for a time and become an adult..." Tamlin finished and couldnt think of anything more to say
