Kirai ran faster, almost matching Glissa's breakneck speed.
By the time he'd reached the beach, he was actually starting to sweat a bit from the unbelievable exertion it actually had taken to keep up.
Of course, Glissa DID have demon blood. She had higher endurance than he did physically. He panted slightly as Glidda turned to face him, then wiped the few droplets of sweat from his forehead afterwards.
"God, it's hard to run in this body."

"I'm surprised you could keep up... But waddya mean 'in this body'?" Glissa took a few steps backward and sat down on a falled tree, patting the space next to her for Kirai to sit down.
"You got more tricks in that scroll of yours?"

" You don't seem to remember the fact that i'm not human, apparently. That's okay, i forgive you."
Kirai's skin began to smoke, becoming whiter and whiter as hair began to engulf his skin. after several moments of smoking, Kirai finally took the shape of a white wolf with black fangs.
Kirai Looked Glissa in the eye for a moment, before his skin started to smoke again as he reverted to his human appearance.

"Oh that's right... You always did smell like a dog..." Glissa snickered at him. She stood up and started walking toward the actual beach.
"Well, since ya don't look tired anymore, lets hit the sand!"

Kirai coughed slightly.
"Mhmm. yeah. YOU try reeking of blood and wet fur on a constant basis. See how hard it is to cope."
Kirai walked off slowly towards the beach, waiting for glissa to catch up.
"But anyway, let's hit hte dunes."

Glissa laughed a bit as she stood up and followed Kirai toward the beach.
"And that is why I'm glad I'm not furry." As soon as they hit the sand, Glissa's shoes became horribly unstable. Platform stilettos obviously weren't made for walking through sand.
"Hold up a second..." Glissa bent forward and unzipped her boots down to her ankles, then easily stepped right out of them. She then picked them up and chucked them back at the fallen log.
"Much better!"

Kirai laughed when Glissa's stilettos stuck to the old wooden log, due to the point and blade built into the edge. Kirai would continue to do the same thing. He knelt for a moment, and quickly removed his boots to toss them near Glissa's. He then flexed his toes, slightly digging into the sand to get a good feel for the grainy earth beneath him. He walked to the edge of the sweeping tide, standing there. The water crept and crawled quickly across the sleek, compact sand to stop only a few centimeters from his toes, only to curl backwards in retreat. Foam would lay restlessly atop the wet grains, only to pop slowly into nothingness.

Glissa walked up next to Kirai and paused, watching the waves move to and fro. She then inhaled deeply and took in the ocean breeze. There was of course the dominant salty scent of the ocean, but she could also pick up the scent of some gulls flying in the distance, the trees back behind them, and the ever so slight scent of blood somewhere far off in the trees. Some predator mush have caught its supper a few hours ago. Glissa then closed her eyes and listened to the whoosh of the waves and the breeze blowing through the trees.
"Did you ever notice, that if you listen carefully, you can hear the wind rustle every leaf?" She smiled and a fang glinted in the moonlight.
"You never get to hear sounds like that in the underworld... There is no wind there, and the plants are disgusting and primal. The surface world never ceases to fascinate me..."

This was a rare moment for Kirai, he was usually a passive-agressive character. Self reflection and thinking out loud usually never happened with him.

Glissa turned and looked at Kirai, a kind of sincere understanding in her eyes.
"That's good. That's a very wise decision. And that's also the very same reason I came to the surface world. To escape the rules and hierarchy of the underworld. I wanted to explore and understand everything, not sit in a dusty throne room and spend a century plotting out the next demonic war." She paused for a moment, then stuck out her hand as if to shake Kirai's.
"How bout you and me... do what we want together... And tear down any force that tries to take that freedom away from us... Whatdya say?"

"If I didn't know better, Glissa, i'd think you were asking me out..but since I DON'T know better...Sure."
Kirai reached out and shook Glissa's hand. He scratched the back of his head lightly, then reached into his pocket for a pack of djarum black clove cigarettes. He lit one, and exhaled softly. Smoke slipped out smoothly from between his lips.

Glissa raised one eyebrow and a somewhat repulsed, but very twisted and sly smile spread across her face.
"Lets not go that far, wolf boy..." She shook his hand then looked back at the ocean. The smell of the clove cigarette swirled around her. Slowly she waded out into the water until it was about to her knees. She wiggled her toes until they were buried in the soft sand.
"So... You you have anything interesting planned for tonight?" As Glissa was wiggling her toes, she felt something come into contact with her left pinky toe. She reached down into the sand and grabbed it and rinsed it off in the water. It was what looked like a large red stone, tear dropped in shape, and was semi translucent.
"Would ya look at that! Oy, I think its movin inside..." As Glissa looked at it, she could see something swirling around inside the stone. It began to glow faintly, then faded away. But the glow remained in Glissa's eyes.

"Toss it here..if it's what i think it is you may not wanna keep looking at it."
This could be bad. If it was a demon's tear, then the soul trapped inside might incite Glissa's rage again. The trouble this time, however would be that Kirai would have to remove the soul from her body before she would calm down, and that was only possible in one of two ways. Submission by force, for one, or rune removal. but if Glissa was in a rage, that wouldn't work well.

Glissa turned around and tossed the stone to Kirai. But as soon as the stone had left her hand, she wanted it back. She waded back up to the beach and stood close to Kirai, watching what he did to the stone. Glissa stood there anxiously, leaning on one leg, then the other.
"What do you think it is? I've never seen a stone like that... Its so... pretty..." The stone glowed faintly once more, but this time the glow in Glissa's eyes grew.

"It's trouble in a red rock. Get your last glimpse, cuz it's history."
Kirai tossed it up into the air and his scroll shot from his hand to split it into tiny little fragments. A small red orb appeared, then flew around the beach for a moment before dissipating in the air.
Kirai took a look at Glissa's eyes, noticing the small red glare lasting after the destruction of the tear.
"Glissa...I need you to hold stil for a moment.."
