Well, finally got around to getting the first Death Note volume.

It's been a while, and I lost quite a bit of interest in anime in the past fourish months, but Matt now thinks it's time to get back into the swing of things. I just learned that there's going to be a second season of Mai Otome (hopefully it'll flow better than the first, but I'm not going to complain about any feed of my addictions). However, the rest will consider this even better and neater news. Death Note: the anime. I just finished the first episode, and wow. 'Tis might good. Great animation, awesome music, character voices are what you'd expect, nice... welll, everything else. Screenshots? Yes please. Light learns of the Death Note's power.  Then thinks of the possibilities. Ryuk (or Ryuuku, as he's known in the anime) standing there looking all Ryuky. Just a cool shot of Ryuk that I happened to snag. And finally, Ryuk enjoying his apples. So, yeah. Follows the manga perfectly (as far as I can tell), and eye-candy for sure. Check it out when you get the chance. 'Tis pretty sweet.

I created a manga! AND it has characters from other mangas slightly altered in it! And it has a giant flying bunny demon! VIVA LE GIANT FLYING BUNNY DEMON! And I sold a copy of it for $5! Soon I shall be rich enough to be able to buy more pens and pencils to create more copies! And then with the money I make off of that, I shall buy the third "Fruits Basket" manga! heart blaugh

Well, Mai Otome Zwei (the OVAs) have finally started coming out, and unless you're a major fan of the series, do avoid them. I'm even disappointed with the first one. The pacing was terrible, the story stinks, and it still can't decide its genre (in a rather bad way). The only things it has going for it are nice animation (pretty), and a kicked up notch of fan service (jiggling, skimpy clothing, and a blatant reference to Shizuru's lesbianism).

I've just never known anybody to create their own manga before, especially someone in your age-group. I'm impressed if nothing else, and I'm just curious about it. No offense was meant.

yesterday i was at otaku and i found deathnote vol 1 and i picked it up.....checked it out..............started readin a lil bit, and damn it seemed pretty cool. if i had more time i woulda read the whole thing lol. now i see why ya guys like it so much.
