Meditation Under The Waterfall Of Waterfall Caves
arrow Under The Waterfall
Tsai arrived at the Hidden Waterfall Caves. The moon was still out, he took off his Shinigami outfit and put on a bathing robe with his zampakuto still with him and walked towards the waterfall. There was a platform right under the waterfall where Tsai could meditate, he walked towards that spot under the waterfall.
The water was cold as expected, Tsai continued to move closer to the waterfall and the platform. When he reached the platform, he sat under it letting the waterfall pour down on his head. He began meditating.
His thoughts were all mixed up after today. What was that demon in his dream? Why was his zampakuto spirit not helping him? He had many questions he needed to ask her, or it, or whatever it was.
He began humming as he tried clearing his thoughts.

Tsai opened his eyes, the water stopped pouring on his head. Did he fall into the water? No, he was back... the Winding Stairs. Tsai was in his shinigami outfit now, but his zampakuto wasn't on him.
"Hello?" Tsai shouted into the blank emptiness. The stairs started moving and moving until a single stair was sighted. "She probably wants me to go up these stairs" he thought as he walked up them. Tsai wasn't as afraid of this place as the first time they met.
Tsai climbed the stairs and saw 'her' again. The black cat. "So it appears you have entered the realm of the Winding Stairs again," she said as she turned and jumped onto a higher platform and turned around to look at Tsai.
"You still haven't become stronger by yourself!?" she asked with a strict tone. Tsai did not reply, he knew nothing of what she was talking about. "Very well, I guess I shall train you myself since you are too much of a fool to train YOURSELF," she scolded as the Winding Stairs started disappearing, the Hidden Waterfall Caves appeared again.
Tsai looked around, and pinched himself. It hurt, this defineately wasn't a dream. What was this place? "Enough with the questions!!" the cat screamed out. "Your training will start off moderately hard and become harder, so first, I'll start off with something that will warm you up," she said as chains appeared from the ground and grabbed hold of Tsai.
Tsai tried struggling but was eventually chained to the ground. Tsai seemed to have lost his voice, he couldn't speak.

"Your first training session is to break through these chains, they are made of nothing but your own reiatsu, if you can't break these chains, you will be locked here in your own mind forever..." she told Tsai as she disappeared into thin air.
Tsai rattled the chains trying to break them off with his own arms. No use, they were harder than anything Tsai had ever seen. For 30 minutes, Tsai lay on the ground of this imaginary place and tried breaking off the chains.
Tsai was tired and felt lonely and the feeling of the heavy atmosphere he had once experienced returned. A dark shadowy figure appeared before him, the cloaked one. Tsai's eyes widened at the sight of this demon, he continued to try to break loose from the chains more frantically.
The Cloaked Demon was also chained onto the ground by the very same chains as Tsai. It screamed and screamed as the chains seem to be breaking bit by bit. Soon, the chains shattered completely. Tsai however was still in his spot trying to break through from his chains.

Tsai now knew it was too late to try anything, he still hadn't given up hope on the chains, with all his might he pulled at the chains, he wasn't strong enough to break and shatter the chains like this cloaked demon.
The cloaked demon was now hovering over Tsai, its cold breath touching Tsai's face. It reached one arm out, the ground started shaking, A piece of ground next to Tsai turned pitch black as Tsai's Zampakuto then rose from the ground. The cloaked demon grabbed hold of the zampakuto and held it close to its face. He then twirled it and in an instant, it stabbed Tsai in the arm.
Tsai screamed in pain, this wasn't just an average cut, this was a whole zampakuto being stabbed through your arm. Tsai tried struggling and resisting but the chains were just too much, Tsai couldn't break through.
The cloaked figure removed the blade of the zampakuto from Tsai's arm. Then raised it into the air again and stabbed Tsai's arm once again. Tsai was bleeding tremendously, he could not do a single thing with the chains bound to him.
He was helpless. "Can someone please help me!?" he wanted to shout, but the words just wouldn't come out.

"It has been 10 minutes of torture but it feels like an enternity.. I can't feel my left arm, this creature has been stabbing at it over an least one hundred times, I don't know how long I can keep this up..."
Tsai lay motionless, his eyes wide opened, he was unconscious and was bleeding heavily. The creature stopped and backed off.
"So he hasn't even gotten strong enough to break his own reiatsu?" a female voice asked. "You may leave now," she told the cloaked figure as it descended into the ground leaving Tsai's zampakuto behind. The cat started walking away.
2 hours later...
Tsai woke up, he remembered nothing from before, but his arm being in pain. That pain was now gone. Tsai got up, he then also remembered he was chained down. He wasn't anymore. Was he back in the real world? He looked around, it seemed pretty real but was it? He put his hands in the water, it felt like water, he was really back!
"That's what you think.." a female voice called out from behind Tsai. Tsai turned around in fear, this was his zampakuto spirit? This was the thing that tortured him until he was unconscious. He looked around for a weapon, he sighted his zampakuto and ran to pick it up. It wasn't budging from the ground.
"The pain has just begun Tsai, either you accept it or you will be trapped here forever running away from pain, forever remaining weak," she sat down as she said this.

Tsai kneeled down, he knew he could not escape this place without pain and he knew he could and would not get stronger without pain. He looked up at the cat, his eyes filled with new courage.
"I will endure that pain, whatever it takes to become stronger" he proclaimed as he got up and looked the cat in the eye. The cat smiled, "That's what I'd expect from my wielder," the surroundings started shifting and changing again. They were in a desert now, Tsai could feel the sand moving with each gust of wind. "Tsai, your training is to survive in this desert for 3 days and 3 nights, I will return to check up on you or collect your corpse by that time" she told him.
"Okay" he said determined as ever. "You'll need this!" she said as she flung a katana at him, it was the same shape and length as Tsai's zampakuto but it did not have a black blade. She then disappeared along with the sand that was being blown away.
Tsai placed the katana on his belt and began walking. "Maybe there's a camp near by? I doubt it since this is created to kill me" he muttered as he walked done a sand dune.

Tsai continued walking through the desert, the sand was constantly getting into his eyes or his hair. "Damn, its hot" he sometimes would say as he paused to wiped the sweat off his forehead which was usually accompanied with sand. Tsai stopped all of sudden. There was something moving behind him. The heavy atmosphere returned, Tsai felt as if he had 5 tonnes of weight on his shoulders.
What was out there that was producing such reiatsu? Tsai began running, he knew it couldn't be the cloaked demon. This atmosphere wasn't as heavy as the one the cloaked figure have, but Tsai knew he wouldn't stand a chance against it if it caught up.
The heat, the weight and the fear was Tsai's main enemies, he was getting tired with every step and he had no idea how he could continue to run away from this thing that was chasing him.

Tsai quickened his pace. It seemed he was losing whatever was following him, the atmosphere was getting lighter, that's how Tsai would know. His legs felt as if they were going to break and cripple him any moment, but he knew he had to continue to run and not rest, he had to stay alive for 3 days and 3 nights before his first training session would be done.
For a few minutes, Tsai slowed down his pace, he thought it would be clear to, but was he wrong. The thing that was chasing Tsai quickened its pace, the atmosphere became heavier. Whatever was chasing Tsai was very close to him now. Tsai turned and saw its shadow in the sand.
He continued to try to outrun it but they were too close. Whatever was chasing Tsai jumped out of the sand. The dust was settling, Tsai drew his katana ready to counter attack if possible. It was a hollow, a humanoid type hollow. But this hollow was different, half it's mask was gone, only half of it remained intact. The other half of its face was bloody, nothing but blood.
What was this thing? Tsai examined it carefully. It didn't seem to move nor did it seem to have eyes. It leaned forward letting its long arms drop and touch the sand. Tsai remained vigiliant. It could attack at any given moment....

The hollow opened its mouth, its long tongue making an appearance, it roared ferociously, it seemed hungry. Its yellow eyes appeared and stared at Tsai. Tsai embraced himself, this hollow was going to produce one hell of a fight for Tsai. It was quiet for a second...suddenly, the hollow began to mobilize.
It swung its arm down towards Tsai with great force. Tsai dashed back quickly in order to avoid it. Upon impact with the sand, a wave of sand appeared covering the field with sand everywhere making vision for Tsai even harder. Tsai landed safely with a roll and got up his katana infront of him.
Where was the hollow? It disappeared from his sight, Tsai looked around, the heavy atmosphere was still in effect, meaning it was around Tsai lurking and preparing to strike. Tsai waited patiently, he had to continue dodging until he could find an opening for a one hit finishing move, but the hollow would not show its fast.
The waiting continued, there was still no sign of moment. Tsai started to run. The hollow finally appeared from the sand and jumped out. It dashed at Tsai with its mouth wide open and saliva drooling.

Tsai quickly turned around, using his katana blocked the hollow's teeth from reaching anywhere close to his body. The power and size of this hollow was overwhelming, Tsai was being pushed back far too much. His sandals were gliding on the sand. The hollow finally let go and leaped away from Tsai with incredible height.
Tsai was sweating and breathing heavily after blocking such a powerful hit. He waited for the hollow's next move. Tsai couldn't predict what the hollow was going to do next, this hollow was indeed smart and powerful, something Tsai wished he was.
The hollow then made a move, it rushed at Tsai, its arms flowing back from the speed of the hollow. When it was close enough to Tsai, it leaped up into the air and attempted to stomp Tsai into a pancake. Tsai dashed out of the way of the landing on the hollow just in time. The hollow disappeared into the sand again.
Tsai was getting tired of such a tactic. He knew the only way to draw it out is if he began running but that would open him to an attack. What to do? What to do?

The hollow rested in the sand quietly watching every move Tsai made, while Tsai was thinking up a plan to avoid a hit from the hollow and avoid it. He knew it was impossible for him to fight a hollow of this level without getting killed. He had to make a run for it but needed a decoy of some sort, and out here in the desert there really wasn't much to use as a decoy.
Tsai had no choice, he had to defeat this hollow if he wanted to survive. Maybe this was what his spirit wanted? Tsai held out his katana bravely and charged at the shadow in the sand ready to stab at it.
However, the hollow was much quicker than Tsai. It jumped from the sand and was ready to land on top of Tsai. Tsai had to dodge this. He leaped back. It seemed he was getting use to the atmosphere's pressure. The hollow landed back into the sand and disappeared again.
Tsai searched for its shadow, it was pretty easy to spot such a huge shadow in such an open space. The hollow resurfaced and attempted to punch at Tsai. Tsai knew this was a good oppurtunity, he leaped back to avoid the punch and timed his attack, when the mask part of the hollow was about to be submerged in sand, Tsai charged at it with a stab.
The first attempt was unsuccessful, he hit the hollow's neck and hooked onto the hollow. Tsai was being dragged down. With all his strength he pulled himself up and removed his katana from its neck. Tsai got back up and waited for the hollow to resurface.

The heavy atmosphere somehow was getting dimmer and dimmer. The hollow was moving away after being hit. Tsai took this oppurtunity to run, he sheathed his katana and dashed the opposite direction of the shadow in the sand.
With each step, the air around Tsai got lighter and lighter until it felt the same as before. Tsai paused and began breathing heavily, he was tired after a few hours in this desert, he had to survive for 3 whole days like this!
Tsai began a brisk jog, this was probably the only way he could recieve a brisk wind to his face. He needed to find somewhere to stay, the sun was not going to stay up for much longer since it was the desert, he began running again in search for shelter of any sort.
After awhile he sighted a small cave, it was probably fit for a desert fox but Tsai had to squeeze himself in. This was probably the only rest Tsai would get, he had to stay close to this fox hole.

Tsai stayed in the fox hole for about 2 hours planning his next move, if he stayed at this fox hole for the next 2 days he would get buried by a sand storm or even worst, the hollow from before may track him down again.
He got out from the hole and dusted the sand off himself. It was impossible to stay clean in the desert, Tsai had wished that his spirit would at least have given him a turban of some sort. He began walking east towards the sun. He knew that he wouldn't find shelter again for some time.
A few minutes past... the sun was setting and the desert was becoming less heated. Tsai was relieved that it was almost night time, this was the time he felt most comfortable. Tsai held his katana and continued walking as the sun was setting.
He needed to find shelter soon, there was wind and it was becoming heavier every moment or so. A sand storm would soon form, Tsai knew a bit about deserts since he once visited the Sahara Desert to help bring back some cheap goods to China. The desert here was much worse.
A few more hours past, the sun is set and the moon is slowly rising. At least he had some sort of light to guide him through the desert. It was also getting immensely colder and colder as time passed on. Tsai remained vigilante and looked around every now and then, no sight of any hostile targets.

Tsai soon spotted another fox hole, but it looked exactly like the one he saw before, he ran towards it, guided by the moonlight. He inspected it thoroughly. It was exact same one as before! He was walking in circles this whole time.
There was no way he could have came back here, he was walking eastwards the whole time. "Could this whole place be a maze of some sort?" he wondered. Tsai felt a small change in the air. Something with high levels of energy was approaching and quickly too.
It was the hollow. Tsai got up quickly and drew his katana. He couldn't see the shadow of the hollow in the sand nor could he see his own katana or the sand itself. This would prove to be one hell of a battle, running wouldn't be a smart thing to do now that it was dark. The moonlight and his hearing would be his only ally now.
He could hear the sound coming closer and closer but nothing could be seen. When would it strike? How would it strike? These were the questions going through Tsai's mind right now.
