King_Cicero_IV I've tried writing GaaraNaru fiction and I found that smut and something meaningful just don't go hand in hand. That's why I havent put any fanfiction online yet because I want it to be origional, in character, and still be entertaining and sexy. And that takes time. Hopefully I'll have something up in the near future. sweatdrop All I have now is that dumb crackfic...which I must admit is pretty damn funny (There's even a part two where Gaara shows up with all his Akatsuki babies...Well there I go killing my arguement about keeping Gaara in character sweatdrop ) xD Well, you're allowed to do whatever you want in crack/humor fanfiction. The very genre implies at least a little bit of OOC. Anyway, if you ever do decide to post anything else, I'd be happy to beta it for you.

Now I have heard of Naruto being gangraped by Orochimaru's gang in this one fic I read, but that completely broke him. ~mutters: Not to mention getting raped by Sasuke's psycho dad before Sasuke, Gaara, and Neji could get there to help him...~ ~sighs~ Chieira, why do we have to have such similar opinions??? I kept nodding over and over again with everything that you said. ~eyes you suspiciously~ Are we related somehow and don't know it? Because this is too cool beyond words. Honestly.

My crackfic is in the fanworks section of this guild. It's called Naruto Gets Knocked up: A novel my Jiraiya...I basically wrote it to make fun of Mpreg because I hate to so much.

Have you read that one? xD Oh my gosh, yes! heart I love Self-Reliance! It was that fic that allowed me to see and accept Naruto as a Seme and Sasuke as an Uke. Especially because Sasuke wasn't a whiny female in a male body and the fun aspect of Naruto's personality didn't disappear. ~sighs~ I'm just so sad that reviewers gave Imbrium so much stress that she gave up on it...

The thing I'm wondering is, why was I the first person to do something like this. I have yet to see an essay on GaaraNaru like mine...and you'd think...being the huge fan I am that I would have found something like it by now...oh well...such is the way when you are a pioneer for your pairing sweatdrop (at least as far as this guild is concerned)
And if you are about to disagree with me saying I am not the GaaraNaru pioneer...I honestly hope you do because I would love to find someone who feels the same way about GaaraNaru as myself.
Another thing, Could anyone make an essay like this about a pairing other than SasuNaru or GaaraNaru? I mean, take the other popular pairings of the series: ItaSasu, KakaIru, even GaaLee. Could anyone attempt an essay as long or as detailed as mine or the many good SasuNaru essays out there with these pairings?
Unless they can, I honestly don't see why they are more popular than GaaraNaru.

First of all... I could write one serious essay on ItaSasu, trust me. I will if I need to. In a PM to Uchimaki Yuuzora, actually, I wrote a pretty long paragraph explaining why I like the pairing, and why I think that it works. She didn't necessarily agree with me, because she still dislikes it, but we at least came to an understanding about why I like it and why she doesn't. Next... there are lots of people besides you in this guild who like GaaNaru. I've been in the guild for over a year now, and I've seen plenty of threads on the pairing, as well as in the other Naruto guilds I'm in. I think that some of the other fans of the pairing in this guild might be a bit insulted to find you saying that you're the only one who feels this way about GaaNaru. Next... I don't know about other pairings, but ItaSasu is NOT more popular than GaaNaru. As someone who hungrily reads any decent Uchihacest fanfiction she can find, I can promise you that. GaaNaru is VERY easy to find on AFF, for example, but it's pretty rare to find a decent ItaSasu fanfiction there. I find them occasionally, but they're almost always PWPs. At the very least, I'd be willing to concede that the two pairings are possibly about equal in popularity. Lots of people dislike ItaSasu for the incest; GaaNaru doesn't have that problem. For the same reason, you may notice ItaSasu more... because since it involves incest, that gets it a lot of attention, though most of that attention is bad. But, again, I'd definitely say that it's probably not as popular as GaaNaru. But I think that shows that while ItaSasu gets a lot of attention, it's not necessarily popular.

xd Wait, when did GaaNaru become a under loved pairing? Seriously? That and SasuNaru were all that I could find on y!gallery for the longest time. They have obvious connections in the manga, just like SasuNaru. There are more SasuNaru or GaaNaru fiction and art out there than Uchihacest or GaaLee. Those last two are slowly gaining popularity, though sadly people think of Lee and go ew, but still don't out rank GaaNaru and SasuNaru. (Well, add KakaIru to that as it's a pretty popular, if not cannonly supported, pairing.)
I think saying you're pioneering a pairing for the guild is a little arragont there. I've seen many GaaNaru love threads. Maybe you mean essay wise, as I've seen few spend time to do that. Cheers for putting it in a way that even new people to the series could understand.
Find someone who feels the same way about GaaNaru as yourself? MANY people out there, hun. Veilchen has drawn some of the most beautiful GaaNaru art out there, she adores the pairing. She also does art for friends, who rabidly support the pairing. You're not a minority.

Exactly. Just because you hear about a pairing, doesn't mean it's well liked. Same with GaaLee, you hear it a lot, but how many times do you actually hear that someone likes them. There might be more out there, but often with 'hated' pairings like ItaSasu, GaaLee, or KisaIta, people are afraid to say they're a fan and risk getting yelled at for what they like.

I have seen a lot of ItaSasu fans, so as much as there is a bad rap for ItaSasu, there is a pretty stable... if sometimes overzealous... fanbase. And by overzealous I mean, I keep seeing this freaky picture of Itachi raping Sasuke! crying I love Itachi!! I doubt, while he did murder his clan, that he would stoop so low as to rape Sasuke! Every time I see it, I wanna cry. And if you've found any good ItaSasu fanfics, I think I'd be willing to read them. I trust that you'd show the me the good light on their relationship, ne? Oh, and in the Shonen-ai and Yaoi Guild, there's an incest thread... ItaSasu is very popular there. A lot of people do like Uchihacest... and I think that that might be where I keep seeing that creepy rape pic... ~ponders this~ Moving on... I don't want to repeat everyone else's sentiments but they are right, Cicero. There are tons of GaaNaru fans. To tell the truth, a lot of SasuNaru fans are also GaaNaru... and NejiNaru fans. And about essays, keep in mind that a lot of fans have lives, and don't have a lot of time that it takes to write in-depth well developed essays like yours or say a manifesto. If I could, I'd write a Stop Hating On Sasuke Essay! I've certainly posted enough different defences of his character in these guild forums to write a novel defending him, that's for sure. As I said, ItaSasu has the whole incest factor, so it's more noticeable. It seems like if you see a thread about ItaSasu, you're more likely to remember it than another pairing thread, just because... it's not your typical pairing, when you take the incest into account. Oh, and yes, I'll search through the fanfiction I have for them and try to find something good for you. x.x; While I do love the pairing, good fanfiction for it is VERY hard to find.

I stumbled upon an original incest fic on AFF and... well, I was hesitant about reading it at first, but then I went through with it and so I'm hooked now. That's why I said that I was more than willing to get your recommendations about some well-written ItaSasu fics. I can stand to give it a chance because there is potential for it to be a very, very good pairing. I cry when I think that ZabuHaku doesn't get enough fans. I mean, it was right there in your face blatant BL! crying I don't understand why people can't appreciate it. Most of the time, the only exposure it gets is as a miniscule side pairing. There are so many good pairings out there that don't get enough credit. ~sighs~

Our conversation the other day led me to re-read both Convictions and Parallels by Questofdreams. xD They were even better than I remembered them being. Do you know of any other good NaruSasu stuff you could recommend? Lately, I've been craving fanfiction with that pairing for some reason.
