Nov. 15, 10:47am, Gryffindor Common Room
While Harry stood thinking, Jade stepped out from behind him, walked over to where Gumi was sitting and sat on the side of the chair. Gumi felt the movement and when she saw it was her sister, she flung herself onto her and broke down sobbing. As the sixth and first years had Herbology this morning and there was too much snow outside, the lessons were canceled. Jade just sat with her sister gently rocking her back and forth like there mother did whenever they were upset or sad.
"Allí, allí. Es bien. Tu será bien. Las cosas trabajarán fuera, tu verá. Debo saber, soy un optimista. ... la mayor parte del tiempo", Jade said in Spanish.
As Jade finished, Gumi let go and nudged her in the side. "Chica rara", Gumi said, also in Spanish.
"Sí, tu lo sabe", Jade said with a smile.
For the first time in a while, Gumi smiled an actual real smile. Just then, Harry, Ron and Hermione came over to sit with them.
"Everything better now?", Hermione and Ron asked at the same time.
"Es muy bien ahora", Gumi and Jade said together.
"You two speak Spanish?", Harry asked.
"Yep", Jade answered. "Y quizá luego yo se lo hablaré a tu. .... "mejor", she continued with a suggestive smirk on her face.
"Ok, I have no clue what you just said, but it sounded sexy as heck", Harry said with a broad smile on his face and pulled her onto his lap.
Nov. 16, 5:30pm, Great Hall, Rent sets
"525,600 minutes, 525,000 seasons of.... LOVE", Hermione, Harry, Ron, Gumi, Jade and Malfoy sang as loudly and as clear as they could.
"I'll cover, you, ooooh", Dean belted over the others.
Dumbledore motioned for them to end their note. "Excellent", he said with a smile. "Very, very well done."
"Thank you", most everyone said simultaneously.
"Um, Professor Dumbledore?", Jade asked sitting on the floor. "Is there a way for me to be able to wear this shoes and not feel like I'm gonna fall five stories if I fall?"
"Well, for starters, your shoes aren't supposed to be quiet that tall", he said waving his wand casually and the shoes shrunk to the appropriate size.
"Thank you", she said, putting the shoes back on and running around a bit.
"Now, we will switch over to the Tango scene", Dumbledore announced.
Ron and Jade took there starting places and begun the scene. Before Dumbledore said "action", Jade winked at Harry, who winked back at her and smiled.
"Action."
Jade and Ron went through the scene twice and got it right both times. When they finished the second time, everyone applauded and Ron and Jade bowed respectably.

Kagumi stayed as far away from Malfoy and Harry as her role would let her. She never made eye contact with either of them if she didn’t have to. This was great news for Harry, who was beginning to feel that strange attraction again. On the other hand, for Draco, it was Hell on Earth. He tried his best to get her attention outside of scenes and failed miserably.
Kagumi noticed Draco’s attempts to catch her eye, but she refused to acknowledge them. She wouldn’t meet his gaze unless they were acting together and even then, whenever she could tear her eyes away, she did. It was like she didn’t want to think about what they had shared on that rock by the lake, out there in the swirling snow. Like she was…ashamed.
Jade was getting exasperated with her sister and trying to retain her calm. Hermione wasn’t sure what to think of it and Ron thought the idea that Kagumi was attracted to the “Ferret” hilarious. Ginny began hanging out with the twins more and more, but even she was wondering when the tension was going to come to a peak.
Nov. 16, 10:43 pm, Great Hall, RENT sets
Kagumi sat down, having finished her last scene. She was keen to get away from Harry, in whose eyes she was sure she saw attraction. Dobby, who was running back and forth all over the castle trying to clean, came up to the saddened girl, who had just walked out of the Great Hall. She was seen by Malfoy hugging the little elf as he handed her a small sweet biscuit and a small cup of tea. A light bulb practically went off in his head as she scurried away from the Entrance Hall. Malfoy walked towards Dobby, who was watching his friend slowly climb the staircases.
“Dobby! I have a question!”
The little elf dodged out of Draco’s way as if in fear. “Sir Malfoy, please don’t beat Dobby again!”
Malfoy sank to his knees and tried to calm the frantic elf. “No, Dobby. I’m not going to hurt you. I just want you to do me a favor. Come to the Room of Requirement around midnight.”
Dobby looked shrewdly at him. “Sir is planning something dastardly again, Dobby knows he is. But since Dobby is a servant of the school and because of Dobby’s past history with Sir, Dobby will come to the Come and Go Room after midnight.” Draco watched the elf scuttle off, occasionally throwing cautious looks over his shoulder to Malfoy. “Most excellent,” whispered Malfoy as he walked back towards the sets. Now all he had to do was wait and lure Kagumi to the Room.

"Alright", Dumbledore said in an announcing tone. "It's now, 10:45. If you would please pack everything up and put everything away, you can go on to bed and I will see you tomorrow evening for rehearsal."
With that, he picked up his copy of the script, his note papers and the video recorder and left for his office.
Nov. 16, 11:00pm, Great Hall
"Dean? You put away the lighting and the small props?", Jade asked going through everyone to make sure everything was put away.
"Yes, and Draco shrunk the sets and put them in the storage room", Dean replied.
"Ok", she said loudly checking the check list Dumbledore gave her when he appointed her set manager. "That's it. Pack in and ship out."
Everyone grabbed their things and went to their house common rooms.
"Hey, has anybody seen Gumi?", Jade asked as she picked up her bag that was mingled in with everyone else's bags.
"Dunno", Ron replied, looking around the now normal Great Hall. "Maybe she's upstairs already."
"Maybe", she said, grabbing Gumi's bag and taking it with her.
Nov. 16, 11:13pm, Gryffindor Common Room
When Jade, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Lavender and Dean all got back to Gryffindor, they found Gumi sitting at the table, next to the window, with a note in her hand. She also had a worried look on her face.

“Sissy?” Jade approached cautiously. “Are you alright?” Kagumi didn’t move. She simply sat there, staring at the piece of parchment. Jade went over to her twin, knowing automatically that something was wrong. She read over Kagumi’s shoulder:
Kagumi, My love. I want for you to meet me inside the Prefect’s Bathroom, a little after midnight, because I have a very large surprise for you. I hope you’ll trust me, but I must stress to you: please come alone. It’s a rather private thing and I would hate to have to share your attention. The password for the portrait is tap-gems. When you get in there, it light the tip of your wand to let me know that you are there. Your Beloved Draco
Jade clamped a hand to her mouth, and turned quickly to keep from vomiting. “Ugh, how can he write that?” she cried. Harry and Ron hurried over to see why Kagumi wasn’t moving and why Jade was still a bit green. They saw the letter and handed it to Hermione. She looked at Kagumi.
“Don’t go,” she said with a severe tone. “He could be planning something horrible.”
Jade scoffed at her warnings. “Oh, c’mon, Mione! It’s not like he’s gonna drag her off and torture her or anything. Look, if Harry will let me borrow the Marauder’s Map and the Invisibility Cloak, I’ll go with her and make sure that nothing bad happens.”
Harry nodded, putting his wand to the piece of parchment he carried with him everywhere and saying, “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.” He handed it to her. “Be sure and wipe the map clean. All you have to do is say ‘Mischief Managed’ while putting your wand to it.”
She nodded, kissing his cheek. Looking at her sister, she said, “C’mon, GumiBear. We should get going if we’re going to make it there on time. And don’t worry…I’ll protect you. Nothing bad will happen.”
Nov. 16, 11: 15 pm, Room of Requirement
Malfoy heard Dobby outside and opened the door to welcome the Elf in. Draco pointed to a tray of sweets he injected with the potion earlier that night. Taking a piece of Vanishing Chalk and slipping it into his pocket, he made sure that the book was tied to the Shrinking Bookstand and held it in his left hand. After checking that his wand was in his pocket, he motioned to Dobby, who was bearing the heavy plate of sweets.
They climbed the stairs until they came to the statue of Boris the Bewildered. Malfoy told Dobby to go four doors down and say “tap-gems.” The little elf looked uncomfortable working for his old, abusive master, but still did it. The door swung open for him and he gratefully put the huge platter of sweets and pastries on a white marble shelf made for towels.
Malfoy walked in and starting running a bath, with the taps that sent heavily-perfumed purple clouds hovering very close to the water, along with the ones that sprayed pink and blue bubbles the size of Europeans footballs and finally as the very last effect, he turned on the tap that sent water jets arcing across the surface of the now-filled bath. The steam got very thick in the room, and Malfoy put a combination Freezing and Bubble charm around the plate of goodies.
Taking out the chalk, he drew a very large circle, perhaps ten feet in diameter, along with various runes and symbols copied from his father’s book. When he was done, the chalk lines glared a bold black against the steam clouds now rolling across the floor before disappearing. Malfoy looked at his watch, which now said 11:59 pm and then at the portrait of the mermaid on the wall to make sure that she was still in a deep slumber. Malfoy dismissed Dobby, swearing him to secrecy and telling him in a gentle voice to go back to the kitchens. Then he took off his clothes after setting two bathrobes and two fluffy towels out beside the bath, and got into the water, waiting for Kagumi’s wand light to signal that she was there.

Nov. 16, 11:59pm, Fifth Floor
Jade and Gumi stood outside the entrance to the Prefect's Bathroom. Jade looked at the Marauder's Map. The map showed that only Malfoy was inside the bathroom.
"Jade I, I really don't wanna do this, can we just go back?", Gumi asked. Jade said nothing. "No, no, I- I- I- I- I- I have to go in there, and tell him- and tell him, how I really feel. Don't I?"
"Hey, I'm just here in case I have to beat him up because he tried something funny", Jade said, putting her hands up innocently, sitting on the hall floor as they had been standing outside in the hall more than Jade wanted too. "Whether or not we go in is up to you."
Gumi took a deep breath, now pacing back and forth in front of the portrait to the Prefect's Bathroom. Jade looked down at her watch which had just beeped, as it turned from 11:59 to Midnight.
"It's midnight", Jade said. "Now either we're goin' or we're stayin'. Take your pick."
Gumi stopped pacing. "We're staying", she said trying to sound confident.
"Alright then", Jade said, getting up from the floor as Gumi said the password to open the portrait door. Kagumi looked at her sister and nodded. “Lumos,” she whispered to her wand. The tip sprang to life with a powder blue light.

Nov. 17, 12:02 am, Prefect’s Bathroom
Draco tensed and his heart began pounding as the door opened. He was glad when he looked around and made sure that everything was intact. The Bubble was still there, covered on the inside with frost. He saw the full-length mirror he had conjured on a second sweep of the room. The robes were still there, along with the towels. Everything was in place for this night. The circle was vanished, the spell ready to activate as soon as she ate some of the sweets and stepped into the circle. His wand was in the pocket of his robe, which was slightly set apart from the towels and the other robe.
There it is! His heart jumped when he saw the soft blue light caused by Kagumi’s wand. She entered the room, still fully dressed, with her long hair flowing down her back. She was biting her lip again and when she turned around and saw the bath she gasped aloud. “Jade, look at the bath!” she whispered, to where Draco couldn’t hear. Her sister gave her a slight nudge in the direction of the bath as a response. Kagumi looked at him. “Do you mind if I put my hair up first?”
“No. Go right ahead,” he stuttered. He struggled not to look at her, knowing that if he did, his plan would be ruined. She was standing by the mirror in her school skirt and a black camisole, slowly winding her hair into a bun atop her head. She brushed the long bangs out of her face and grabbed a robe. Luckily, she grabbed the robe he had sat out for her. She then disappeared into a semi-dark corner to undress. He saw a glow of magic and then her putting on the robe. Crossing the huge room, she slipped off the robe to reveal a swimming suit. He stared at her, telling her that she was beautiful; she blushed from more than just the steam.
She slid into the deep bath and sighed softly as the hot water enveloped her entire body. He swam over and began rubbing her shoulders, his hands gliding easily over smooth skin. She turned her head a bit. “Why are you being so nice to me?” she asked him, catching him completely off guard.
“Because you’ve been looking a bit ill lately. Probably from the stress of the musical, so I figured I’d treat you to a night of relaxing,” he paused. “You know, you don’t have to be so tense around me. You’re looking a bit peaky.” He kissed her neck softly. “Don’t worry, Kagumi. Your honor is safe with me. I regret what transpired earlier this year, I truly do,” he kissed her neck again while Jade was struggling not to laugh too loudly. She sat down in the corner, making sure that the map was on her lap. She twitched the cloak around her feet just to be safe.
Kagumi was melting in his arms, and he knew it. Her hand went automatically to his head when he softly bit her neck. She shivered, despite the warm steam flooding her senses. She felt like she was losing herself and just when she thought she might lose her mind, he drew away.
This is it, Draco! He thought to himself. Now is the time! He had felt her melting and felt the ice around her heart dissolving. He took her hand and led her over to the frosted bubble, not a foot from where Jade was sitting. He countered the bubble charm and a breath of cold air hit Kagumi, who shivered again. “I had Dobby make these for you,” he whispered in her ear. Not thinking, Kagumi took one and ate it. She slipped one to Jade as well.
Nov. 17, 1:39 am, Prefect’s Bathroom
Kagumi was sitting with her feet dangling in the water, eating from the platter. Jade had had a lot as well; both from magicking them over to her and from the ones Kagumi had slipped her. The tray was almost empty and He could see the circle beginning to appear. Malfoy slipped into his robe and bit his lip, trying to think. He picked Kagumi up, swinging her around as she laughed. “Maybe you’re not as bad as everyone says, Malfoy,” she whispered in his ear. Jade stood up and stretched lazily, making sure to stay out of sight.
She walked over to the edge of the circle, which she had noticed a few minutes ago. She began inspecting what she could see even though the heavy steam from the bath was covering part of it. Her brows furrowed invisibly; this didn’t feel right to her. Draco put Kagumi down smack in the middle of the circle and backed away, knowing that she was too dizzy to stand straight.
Sure enough, she sat down rather forcefully and accidentally pulled Jade’s ankle in doing so. The cloak slipped for a second, but Malfoy was digging for his wand and book. Jade swiftly jerked the cloak around her ankle, even though her idiot of a sister had pulled her down into a sitting position. She silently smacked the back of Kagumi’s head, even as Malfoy turned around with an open book and his wand drawn. Kagumi stood up with her sister, but found that they couldn’t leave the circle, which was now as bold as when it was first drawn.
“I’m so sorry, my love. But it’s for the best; you’ll thank me later,” he whispered with a tear standing in his eye. “Potion di invecchiamento, faccia la vostra magia e rendagli il permanent, ciò ordine di I!” He cried, with his wand pointing at the circle. The blast of pure magic blew the Invisibility Cloak and the Map away, into the corner…revealing Jade. Both girls twisted in agony as their bodies morphed and changed and both passed out in each other’s arms. Malfoy looked at them in shock. He had not expected to get Kagumi’s sister as well.
Jade’s school uniform was ripped and barely covered anything anymore and Kagumi’s robe was far too snug to be comfortable. The girl’s bodies had switched remarkably fast; Kagumi’s waist length hair was now trailing on the floor, and Jade’s light-streaked dark brown hair was as long as Kagumi’s. Both girls’ nails had grown in a corkscrewed shape from the burst of magic. Jade’s shoes looked like they had to be cut off. But even more remarkable was the transformation of the actual bodies. Kagumi’s waist now dipped into enticing curves, and Jade’s slim body now looked like an hourglass. Both girls’ busts had increased at least two sizes and the change on their faces…Kagumi’s was now heart-shaped, a small Widow’s Peak in the center of her forehead. Jade’s was more oval, and just as beautiful. Malfoy looked around for the cloak that had blown off and dragged both girls into the corner, knowing that they wouldn’t wake up for a long time. He then covered them with the cloak and took the map for himself. He set out in search of Crabbe and Goyle rather shakily, after draining the bath and reducing the platter to ashes.

Nov. 17, 9:37am, Room of Requirement
Jade and Gumi stirred as they awoke on the floor in the Room of Requirement.
"Ugh! My head hurts", Jade said sitting up on the floor, as she gave a loud, pronounced burp. "Yuck! Why does my mouth taste like I just drank a tub of hot dog water?"
"I don't know, but my mouth tastes the same way", Gumi said also sitting up. "What the heck-?"
Gumi had just caught sight of Jade and Jade saw Gumi.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!", they both screamed scrambling up to their feet. Malfoy was aroused from his nap that he was taking in a neighboring chair.
"Aye, Dios mio", Jade said, then proceeded to rant ultra fast in Spanish. In fact, she spoke so fast, the only words Gumi caught from her seven minute rant were, 'loca' and numerous swear words.
"WHAT THE-!?, HOW THE-!?, WHO THE-!?", Gumi sputtered.
"HOW THE BLOODY HELL DID THIS HAPPEN?!", they yelled together.
"Allow me to answer that question", he said getting up from his chair. Jade's eyes narrowed as she ran across the room and pinned him against the wall a foot from the floor. "You wouldn't want to do that. I'm the only one who can reverse it."
"Jade", Gumi said fearfully.
Jade reluctantly released him and he fell to the floor. "What did you do to us?", she asked, her eyes now flashing fire red and sun fire yellow.
"I've aged you. You both are now 16 years old. It really was really only suppose to be for her", he said, pointing to Gumi. "It wasn't suppose to do anything to you."
"Well, now, you are going to undo it", Jade said.
"No, I don't think I will", he said and walked over to the door.
"Where are you going?", Gumi asked, now standing next to Jade.
"I have Prefect duties that I must fulfill. I'll be back later", he said, closing the door behind him and locking it.
"Remind me later, when we're back to normal, to castrate that pile of Manticore crap", Jade said, sitting in one of the chairs along the wall.
"I rather like it", Gumi said, looking at herself in the mirror.
"Kagumi Falcon! I- whoa", Jade started but stopped, running her tongue across her teeth. "Hmm, new teeth, that's weird. Anyways, how can you like this?! We just went from 11 to 16!" Jade caught herself in the mirror. "I have an a**? Since when do I have an a**?"
"I happen to like my new a**", Gumi said, still looking at herself.
"You make one more remark that makes me think you like this, and I swear to Bast, I'm gonna kick you in the head", Jade said, through gritted teeth.
Jade circled the room once and then knelt on the floor with her face in her hands.
"I'm sorry", Gumi said, as she sat next to Jade on the floor and began rubbing Jade's back. "I just got caught up."
"I know", Jade said, slightly muffled as her face and hands were now on the floor.
"Besides, what are we gonna do?", Gumi asked, still rubbing Jade's back. "Nobody knows where we are and the one person who does isn't going to tell anybody who would want to help us where we are and the door is locked so we can't get out."
As Gumi finished, a light came on in Jade's head. "I got an idea", she said as she scrambled to her feet and walked oer to the chair Malfoy had been sitting in before, which still had his cloak, the Invisiblity Cloak and the Marauder's Map
Jade took a piece of paper from the shelf and wrote eight words upon it: "HELP US! TRAPPED IN ROOM OF REQUIREMENT! Jade." She folded up the piece of paper, put it in the map and went over and sat in front of the door.
"What are you doing?", Gumi asked, following her.
"Getting help", Jade said, then began to whistle in an echoy, mystical way.
Nov. 17, 10:00am, Girl's Dorm, Gryffindor Tower
Tigra, Jade's cat, who had been fast asleep on jade's bed awoke to the sound of Jade whistling. Tigra knew what that whistling was and knew that Jade was in trouble. She remembered it as it was the same way she helped rescue Jade when she fell down the well at her uncle's farm. Tigra jumped from the bed and streaked out of the dorm room, done the stairs, through the common room and out of the portrait door which had just opened so that someone could come inside.
Nov. 17, 10:11am, Room of Requirement
"Jade's it's not working", Gumi said, pacing back and forth behind Jade. She checked her watch. "You've been doing that for twenty minutes."
"SHH!", Jade said. " I think I hear something".
Jade listened hard, as she thought she heard soft footsteps outside the door. When the footsteps stopped, she heared what she had been hopeing to hear. Tigra meowing and scratching at the base of the door.
"Tigra?", Jade said softly. Tigra meowed. "Hey you. Now I need you to listen very carfuly. I'm gonna slip something under the door, I need you take it to Harry". Tigra meowed in acknowledgment. Jade slipped the folded map under the door so that Tigra could grab it with her teeth. "Now go, hurry."
Jade and Gumi heard Tigra's paws patter on the floor as she ran down the hall.
Nov. 17, 10:25am, Great Hall
Harry, Ron and Hermione were in the Great Hall doing their homework and practicing their lines for the musical.
"Ron, that note in 'La Vie Boheme' is lower than the one that you have been singing", Hermione stated. "I just thought you might want to know, because when you sing it, it sounds like someone had kicked you in the nuts."
"Oh thanks", Ron said sarcastically.
Just then, Tigra came streaking into the Great hall. She halted right behind Harry, then hopped up next to him on the bench.
"Hey you", Harry said, petting her head. Tigra dropped the map on top of his History of Magic book and nudged him as if to say: You must read it.
He recognized the paper as the Marauder's Map immediately. As he opened it, the piece of paper Jade had put in it fell on the table in front of him. He unfolded it and read what it said. As he finished reading, he quickly grabbed the map and ran from the Great Hall with Ron, Hermione and Tigra behind him.
Nov. 17, 10:40am, Room of Requirement
"Where is she?", Gumi asked.
"Don't worry", Jade said. "She's a smart cat. She'll be back, with help."
Just then, Harry, Hermione, Ron and Tigra had just stopped in front of the blank wall where the door to the Room of Requirement appears. Harry watched as Tigra paced back and forth in front of the wall three times. Then the door appeared. Harry quickly tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge. He knocked on the door. "Jade?"
"Harry!", Jade yelled through the door. "Harry! We're in here! Me and Gumi! We're in here and we can't get out!"
"I can't open the door it's locked", he yelled back.
"Move!", Hermione demanded as she drew her wand. "Alohomora", she said and the lock gave a loud 'click'. Harry wrenched the door open and flung himself inside.
He paused at the sight of the now sixteen year old Jade and Gumi. "Jade? Gumi?"
"Oh, Harry!", Jade said, flinging her herself into Harry's arms.
The scent of her hair reached his nose. Her hair smelt of fresh rain, just like Jade's.
"It's ok", he said looking up to see Gumi fling herself onto Ron.
After they grabbed the Invisibility Cloak, everyone went back to Gryffindor Tower, where Hermione let Jade and Gumi borrow some of her clothes and Jade and Gumi told them everything they remember.

Nov. 17, 10:46 am, Gryffindor Common Room
Kagumi flopped into a chair, hitting her head on the back of it. “Oww!” She cried out. “I keep forgetting that I’m taller,” she whispered. Jade sat beside her and tugged the blanket that Harry had conjured for Kagumi earlier over her. Kagumi wearily leaned her head onto Jade’s shoulder. “Oh, my god…what a way to wake up…”
Harry and Hermione both paced in front of them, blocking their view of the fire. Hermione drew her wand and summoned several books from the Girl’s Dorm. She looked at the twins. “Now…what do you know about what he did to you?”
Kagumi looked up. “Umm…well, there was a big black circle on the floor with a lot of Runes on it. And he said something in what sounded like Italian.”
Hermione stared. “Kagumi, Italian isn’t the base for British Magic. Latin is.”
Kagumi shrugged. “Hey, I know that. Tell that to the person that aged me five years.”
Hermione shook her head. “It just doesn’t make any sense,” she muttered as she flipped open the Ancient Runes book from the previous year. She found the picture index and shoved it under Kagumi’s nose. “Any of these ring a bell?”
Kagumi and Jade both pointed out a few. “But they look different,” Kagumi whispered.
“How so?” Hermione asked sharply.
“They were…backwards,” Said Kagumi. Hermione took the book away and searched for the page on backwards runes. She slapped her forehead. “Great…” She showed the article to all of them: Backwards Runes and Dark Magic
Runes that have been used backwards usually denote a Dark Wizard. Usually showing up in archaic and sometimes even dead rituals, the runes are written backwards around a circle with a number of stars….
Kagumi hid her face in her hands. Jade jumped up. “I swear to Bast that he is dead when I find him,” she got out through clenched teeth. Harry put his arms around her, loving that he didn’t have to feel guilty. “First, let’s look at the bright side..” he whispered in her ear. She whirled around to face him. “WHAT bright side?”
Kagumi piped up, “We’re older. We look better. And now we can perform our roles better,” she said, knowing that acting was one of Jade’s soft spots. “Also, we can now be with guys that we like without criticism.” Harry mouth a thank you to her.
“We still better get you to Professor Dumbledore,” Hermione said worriedly.
Nov. 17, 11:08 am, Dumbledore’s Office
“So, I see the handiwork of Mr. Malfoy has surfaced?” Dumbledore asked, looking down his long, crooked nose at the new twins. They explained the whole tale to him, including the part about the Prefect’s Bath and being out of bed at night.
“I must fetch a few people, I will be right back,” he said with a bow, exiting rather quickly. About ten minutes later, he returned with the two people they did not want to see right then: Professors Snape and McGonagall, along with Madame Pomfrey and Professor Sprout.
“Now,” said the Headmaster, with a long sigh. “Let us see if we can’t figure this out and figure out a way of reversing it.”

Nov. 17, 11:20, Dumbledore's Office
"Oh!", Jade exclaimed, quickly covering her mouth and running out of the office. Harry followed her down the hall into the girl's bathroom on the seventh floor. When he went inside, he saw and heard Jade retching into the toilet in the first stall.
"You ok, hon?", Harry asked, pulling her long hair back out of the way and sitting along side her.
"Yeah", she answered in a shaky tone. "I think- I think I'll be ok."
"You sure? You don't look like it", he said with a small chuckle. "What happened?"
"I don't- know. I think it- it was shock and the fear that I may be stuck like this, for- forever", Jade managed to get the last word out before retching again. Harry looked away, now running his hand up and down her back gently.
"You're not gonna be stuck like this forever", he said in a reassuring way.
"How can you be sure?", she asked wiping off her mouth, trying not to breathe directly in Harry's face. "What if we can't find Malfoy? What if he is the only person who can turn us back and when we find him, he's dead and we can never return to our normal selves?"
"That's not gonna happen", Harry said. "If there isn't a known way to get you and Gumi back to your normal selves, well, then dammit, I'll find a way myself. If I have to drain the blood of fifty thousand chickens or slay a Thestral, I'll do it."
"Well, then let's just hope that it doesn't come to that", Jade said with a smile.
"Me too, because those Thestrals, they're hard to catch", Harry said.
After Jade went to Gryffindor Tower to brush her teeth, her and Harry went back to Dumbledore's Office, where they got some news that they didn't want.
"What?", Harry and Jade asked together.
"There is a way to reverse your aging, but you'll need the blood of the person who cast it on you and he is not here", Madame Pomphrey said.
"I got that", Jade said testily. "Where did he go?"
"According to the letter that I received at 10:00 this morning, he was to go to his uncle's funeral", Professor Snape said. "And he won't be back until after Christmas break."
Jade now looked like she was going to collapse right where she stood, so Harry helped her into a chair in front of Dumbledore's desk.
"And there's nothing else?", Ron asked, sitting on the arm of Hermione's chair.
"Nothing else that will revert it safely and with no after effects", Professor Sprout said.
"Can't we bring him back early?", Harry asked.
"The rules state that once a person is off school grounds they are no longer obligated to follow the specified school rules", McGonagall said. "I'm sorry, but it looks as if Ms. Falcon and Ms. Falcon are going to have to stay this way until Mr. Malfoy returns."
A while later, after much talking the bell rang, for the start of lunch. "Why don't you kids go down to lunch while we continue our discussion of the current topic, alright?", Dumbledore asked.
Jade, Gumi, Ron, Hermione and Harry all nodded got up from their chairs ans went down to the Great Hall for lunch.
Nov. 17, 12:07pm, Great Hall
While Harry, Ron, Hermione and Gumi all ate their food, Jade just picked at her plate.
"Aren't you hungry?", Hermione asked.
"No, not really", Jade said, pushing her plate away.
"Then can I have it?", Ron asked after swallowing a mouthful of lasagana.
"Ronald!", Hermione snapped, elbowing him hard in the ribs.
"No, it- it's ok", Jade said, picking up her plate and passing it to Ron. "Go on."
"Whoo-hoo! Thanks", he said, exchanging his empty plate for her full one.
"You sure you're ok, sis?", Gumi asked, sitting across the table from her twin.
"No! I'm not ok!", Jade snapped.
Without another word, she pushed herself away from the table and stomped out of the Great Hall. Many of the other students watched this, but as soon as she was out of view, they went back to their previous converstions and eating.
"Where'd she go?", Hermione asked.
"I don't know", Harry said.
"I think I know", said Gumi who then set down her goblet which she was holding and exited the Great Hall.

Nov. 17, 12: 08 pm, Entrance Hall
Kagumi walked around the hall of the First Floor, sensing that her sister was moving, and doing so at a rapid pace. Kagumi knew where she was going, but held off for a second longer before walking in measured steps.
Nov. 17, 12:10 pm, Quidditch Field
Kagumi was floating in the middle of the Quidditch field on Harry’s Firebolt when Jade walked past the gate and sat down in the stands. Kagumi flew over, watching the floor-length hair work itself unwound from the braid Jade had piled on her head. She hovered in front of her twin for a second until she noticed the broom handle.
“What are you doing out here before me?” Jade asked.
“Are you kidding me? I’m your twin. I know where you go when you’re upset, Jadalycya,” Kagumi said, smacking the broom handle when it jerked upwards. “Look…I know that you’re missing being younger. But let me tell you: I am not. I like being beautiful, and tall, for Bast’s sake. You have no idea how happy I am that I can actually reach things now instead of having someone else get it for me.” Jade chuckled sadly.
“Look, sis. I love you dearly. I really do. But I’m not reverting without a fight…and I don’t see why you’re so keen to go back.” Jade looked up in shock and anger. Kagumi just sat there on the broom, swaying with the wind.
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me, Jade. I’m not going back,” Kagumi said it again.
Jade’s eyes began turning colors again, this time to an emerald green. Kagumi simply held up her hands. “See? No wand. I don’t need a wand to block you anymore. We’ve both gotten far more powerful; you just won’t accept it. Soon, you’ll begin to get sick because you won’t let your energy flow.”
Jade stared in amazement, because at the moment, she was feeling a bit under the “Worse-for-wear” category. Then, with a disgusted look, she cursed at her sister. “If you want to play ignorant, fine. But you’ll see. I’ll be happy and you’ll be miserable when they all laugh at you and your lover. But I have nothing else to say to you,” Kagumi said with a disgusted look as she flew the broomstick back to the tower. Before she was completely out of sight, Jade screamed at her.
“Looks like your little Slytherin is rubbing off on you in more than one way!”

Nov. 17, 12:13pm, Hogwarts Grounds
As soon as Gumi left, Jade turned around and jumped from the stands, up over the back row and landed, cat-like on the ground almost 25 feet from wher she was. She had always been able to move around like a cat and after her well accident it got easier to outrun her enemies, because her legs were stronger.
"Easy for her to say", Jade said to herself, standing up and walking around. "She always got the nicer things. Better hair, better legs. Just because I was born first doesn't mean that I don't deserve better things! I always had to give up my nice things and look after her. "Look after Gumi, take care of Gumi, give Gumi your pink Play-Doh, let Gumi have your pretty pen", IT'S GETTING ON MY NERVES!!!! IF SHE WANTS TO STAY THIS WAY, FINE! But, she's gonna do it, alone.... for once", Jade said.
Nov. 17, 12:25pm, Gryffindor Tower
As soon as Jade got back to Gryffindor Tower, she packed a small bag with a change of clothes, what little money she had and some other small things. Later that night, when she went to take Tigra out for her evening walk, she didn't come back.

Nov. 18, 4:02 am, Gryffindor Common Room
Kagumi sat by the fire, still fully clothed. She was worried and there was no denying it. Tigra had come back alone and many of Jade’s things were missing. Ron and Hermione had long since gone to bed, too exhausted to worry anymore. Only Harry sat across from her, gazing into the fire. He wouldn’t look at her.
“You hate me, don’t you?” Kagumi asked sullenly. Without looking up, his answer was negative. She burrowed as far into the plush chair as she could. Her stomach growled, but she paid it no heed. She hadn’t eaten since the conflict with Jade and didn’t want to, especially not now.
Harry was staring at the dancing flames, trying to figure out his own heart. He knew that he loved Jade, just as surely as he had loved Cho in the past. But with Jade gone and Kagumi still there, the attraction was as clear-cut as a mountain on a clear day. He tried to temper the fires within himself, but he wasn’t succeeding too well. He resented Kagumi for the things she had said to Jade to make her leave. But if he thought he was miserable, Kagumi was downright catatonic.
Tigra herself lay in Kagumi’s lap, and seemed despondent as well. It was a somber mood that smothered the common room.
Nov. 19, 11:42 am, Great Hall
Neither Harry nor Kagumi spoke much, the first only in class and the latter only when talked to for more than five minutes. There was much hype roaming the halls of Hogwarts. Several students were convinced that Kagumi had murdered her sister for Harry. Today, at lunch, Kagumi overheard a group of Slytherins talking.
“Yeah, I’ll bet she actually did it. More limelight for him.”
“Man, those girls are freaky! I mean, I know that Malfoy did it, but still…”
“Witches like them give us pure-bloods a bad name!”
With each insult to her and her family, Kagumi’s fist got tighter and tighter on her goblet of pumpkin juice. When she heard yet another one about Harry and Malfoy’s competitions over her, the goblet broke in half. She fled from the Great Hall as fast as she could, with Harry not far behind her. She went downstairs at an insane pace, even Harry couldn’t keep up without jumping. She whipped her wand out as they neared a bare wall and Kagumi shouted.
“Reducto!” Her wand flashed as the wall before them disappeared in a haze of debris and dust. Coughing, Harry followed Kagumi over the edge of the hole into the Slytherin Common Room. Not much had changed since Harry had been here in his second year. Carved furniture still dotted the room and sniveling Slytherins still paced the space in between. Kagumi didn’t put her wand away; instead she cornered Crabbe and Goyle with it. Though they both outweighed her by at least a hundred pounds, they shrank from her flared eyes and drawn wand.
“Tell. Me. Where. Malfoy. Manor. Is. NOW!” Her voice echoed through the silent common room as everyone turned to stare at her. Her eyes began going completely black, outer edges too. She looked positively demonic. Crabbe and Goyle shook their heads mutely. “As you wish,” she growled. With a mere flick of her wrist, she sent both of them flying into the opposite wall.
“Gonna tell me yet?” They both charged at her; with another flick she sent them smashing through a door. Charging again, she sent them skidding, just inches from the fireplace. She walked over and bent down. “Tell me,” she said softly. Her voice was a dangerous combination of malice and patience, as though she could keep doing this for hours to get the answers she wanted. Harry got the feeling that if Voldemort ever got his hands on her, that she could turn into his most valued…Inquisitor.
Crabbe and Goyle, both beaten and bruised, got on their knees and pressed their noses to the floor in submission. Kagumi placed a heeled boot on Crabbe’s neck and pressed. There was a crack as his nose broke and she laughed coldly. Goyle didn’t look up, but told her exactly how to find Malfoy Manor. She withdrew her boot and wiped it on the carpet. Without a word, she calmly walked back out of the Slytherin Common Room as though she had civilly had a talk with them instead of beating them into submission. Harry looked back once and followed her to the Gryffindor boy’s dorms, where she was searching for something.

Nov. 20, Noon, Diagon Alley
Jade had just exited Fred and Georges shop, with a bag full of jokes and pranking goodies. She had gotten a room at the Leaky Cauldron and could stay there as long as she wanted, due to the fact the Tom the Innkeeper, was a distant relative of the Falcon family.
Most of the time, she helped the cleaning lady, clean the rooms, or help Tom run the bar, but her favorite past-time was walking in and out of the many shops in Diagon Alley. Even, on one occasion she went into Knockturn Alley, just to get a feel for the place. As she had a really good photographic memory, she remembered just about everything she saw, which made her handy when you needed an instant map or directions somewhere.
Nov. 21, 4:30, Leaky Cauldron
"Tom, you have got to do something about that storage room", Jade said, placing the broom and trash can in the broom closet. "I swear I saw something move in there that wasn't a known species."
"Well, if you think it's that bad, you can clean it out, if you wish", Tom said, cleaning one of the bar room tables.
Jade untied the bandanna that was on her head and placed it in her pocket. "I did already", she said with a smile and went upstairs.

Nov. 21, 4:32 Hagrid’s Hut
Kagumi and Harry both sat at Hagrid’s table, staring at the same pile of rock cakes and treacle fudge, but never once meeting each other’s eyes. Harry only knew that her eyes were back to normal from a glimpse as she strode down and began banging on Hagrid’s door.
“Eh…you two’ll clear righ’ up, now. Don’ worry. It’s on’y a matter o’ time ‘fore she’s found,” Hagrid said, while wearing a large, pink apron. He turned around and emptied both their still-full tea mugs into the sink. He then washed them and refilled them pointlessly; it gave him an excuse to bustle around.
“Yeh two can stay her’. I hav’ to go to th’ Leaky Cauldron for a bit o’ somethin’,” Hagrid’s voice fell upon deaf ears. She shook his head and walked out the door, commanding Fang to stay at the house.
Nov 21, 5:01 pm, Main Room of Leaky Cauldron
Hagrid walked in out of the storm, which had just begun. Tom saw him and hurried over. Jade was watching from the corner. “Ah, Hagrid. The usual?” Tom asked with sincere camaraderie. Hagrid nodded, slowly running his huge hands through the wiry mop atop his head. He slid a Sickle over the bar and Tom put it into the cash box. “Jade, go clean the table over there,” Tom pointed to one in the back.
Hagrid looked over the rim of his mug at the girl and choked on the whiskey in his mouth as he saw Jade. She groaned and came over to him. They began talking and arguing a bit. “You really need to come home, Jadie. Everyone’s worried ‘bout yeh,” Hagrid’s gruff voice told her.
“No way. I don’t see a reason to,” Jade replied.
Hagrid sighed loudly. “Jadie, yer’ sister’s worried sick abou’ yeh! An’ Harry is too! Besides, she’s gon’ an’ done somethin’ not too brigh’.”
Jade rolled her eyes. “Why does that not surprise me? What’d she do this time?”
Hagrid proceeded to tell her about the attack on the Slytherin Common Room and how everyone’s afraid of Kagumi and how she and Harry are having to stay at his place. Through the entire conversation, Jade’s opinion of her sister dropped lower and lower, though she found the idea of Crabbe and Goyle being beaten up by her sister quite funny. After a while, Hagrid gave up and headed back to Hogwarts.
Nov. 21, 6:12 pm, Hagrid’s Hut
Hagrid burst into the room, looking rather urgent. Kagumi looked up. He told her that Jade was at the Leaky Cauldron. Without a word, she raised her wand and two brooms came soaring through the dusky sky. She climbed on a Nimbus 2001, Malfoy’s Quidditch broom while handing Harry his Firebolt. Still eerily quite to each other, they sped off through the night towards…Malfoy Manor.
Nov. 21, 7:13 pm, Malfoy Grounds
Kagumi hopped off of the broom and walked up to the door. Harry walked up with her and she spoke to him for the first time. “Harry, go on to the Leaky Cauldron. She’d wanna see you more right now anyway. I have something I have to take care of here.”
Without a backwards glance, he flew off as Kagumi used the Serpent knocker on the fine wooden door. It opened and she stepped inside.

Nov. 21, 5:27, Leaky Cauldron
Harry touched down in a back alley around the corner from the Leaky Cauldron and walked inside. The bar room was empty except for a witch and a wizard sitting at two tables in the farthest corner from the door. Tom was at the bar, cleaning out some of the classes and Jade was nowhere to be seen.
"Can you tell me where I might find, Jade Falcon?", Harry asked, standing in front of Tom on the opposite side of the bar.
"She's in the back room, hold on let me get her for you", Tom said, setting down the glass he was cleaning and walked to the other end of the bar to the open door. "Jade! Hurry up! You have a visitor!"
"I'm coming!", she was heard saying faintly.
Jade came up with a large box, three bags and what looked like a toolbelt hanging from her waist. She set the boxes down in the middle of a large empty space where there were no tables and looked up. "Hmm, and here I thought it was gonna be the Tooth Fairy, coming to give me the money he forgot to give me for the five years, that I didn't get a chance to live."
"What are you doing?", Harry asked watching her pull out small pieces of wood and enlarging them.
"I'm working", Jade responded testily. "Hey, Tom, can you flash me the schematics again?"
Tom picked up a large sheet of blue paper, held it up for about 15 seconds them put it back under the bar. Jade then began erecting what looked like a small stage.
"What's this for?", he asked as she drilled the last board in place.
"Did you not read the sign on the door?", Jade said "There's the annual karaoke night tonight."
"Did you just build that thing in ten minutes?", Harry asked now looking at the finished stage, complete with microphone and stand, lyrics monitor and stool.
"Yeah, I've always been good with my hands", Jade said, placing the now empty box in a small space between the wall and the bar.
"You might wanna go, you'll be late for work", Tom said looking at the wall clock.
Jade waved her wand and was instantly clean. "You have a job?", Harry asked, following Jade out of the front door.
"Yeah. It's not like I can go home", she replied over her shoulder.
"Why not?", he asked still following her.
"Because my dad is absorbed in his work, all I ever see of him is when he walks from his home office and the kitchen or bathroom or when he needs my mom to make him some food. And my mom is home all day, so all she does is clean and cook for people she doesn't even know. It's just easier if I got my own place."
"But you aren't even out school yet", he stated.
"Whoop-dee-flippin'-doo, what's your point?", Jade asked, swinging her leg over her electric blue JC600 motorbike.
Harry took the key she put in the ignition and shoved it in his pocket. "Because, even though you may look like you're 16, on the outside, but inside, you're still 11. I mean, look at you, how many 16 year olds do you know that try to run away when ever things go bad or they don't get what they want?"
Jade sat quiet on her bike. "So what do you want me to do?", she asked in a voice a bit more than a whisper.
"I want you to use your brain and your heart", he said, indicating each with his hand. "And do what you think is right."
As Harry put the keys back in the bike's ignition, Jade pulled something from the pocket of her riding jacket. "Can you give this to Gumi the next time you see her?', she asked, handing him a small compact disc.
With a small kiss on Harry's cheek, Jade started her bike and rode off.
Nov. 21, 9:00pm, Hogwarts Grounds
Harry had just flown over the front gate and was just to the front door when he saw Gumi, dragging what looked like a big moving bag, up the front steps. "Gumi, what are you doing?", Harry asked, hopping off his broom.
"What's it look like?", Gumi strained, pulling the struggling bag up the stairs and into the Entrance Hall. "I'm trying to find a place to stick this piece of crap until I'm ready to use him."
"Yeah, ok, whatever", Harry said, pulling the small disc from his cloak pocket. "Here."
"What's this?", Gumi asked, taking the disc.
"It's something from, Jade", he said. "Something that you might want to give a listen at. I've listened to it already, but you haven't. And you should."
Nov. 21, 9:28, Gryffindor Girl's Dorm
Gumi finally stashed Malfoy in one of the closets and went up to her dorm room. She pondered whether or not she should listen to the disc Harry gave her, but finally, she put it in her boom box and pressed 'Play'.
"Hey everyone who is listening to this thingy", Jade on the tape with a laugh. "Um, this is a tape, as you can guess, of my will. I have either died in an accident, an explosion or, to be really bad, I got squished by a fat clown singing the theme song from 'Happy Days'. Um, anyways, right to the point, mom, you can keep all of my clothes and use them how you see fit, but don't throw away my favorite blue shirt. Contrary to what you say, it is not a dust rag. Dad can have my computer, just not the pictures that are on it though, I don't think he'll want half-naked pictures of the neighbor kid on his computer, ha ha. And last but not least, Gumi, GumiBear, my sissy, you get all the stuff of mine that you want, except what goes to mom and dad. And, as your older sister, of what, 3 minutes, I give you these words of advice: Fear is what you think you can't do, Fact is knowing what you can, Courage is excepting your flaws and Bravery is overcoming them. You got 'em, 1, 2, 3 and 4. Now once you use all four of those things the right way, I'm 100 percent sure that you'll come out at the head of the race."
There was a long pause before Jade came back in. "Oh, and Tigra, you can now use my green mooky puppet as a chew toy. I love you all, I will watch over you always, and I'll save you guys some seats."
There was a static at the end of the message and Gumi turned off the boom box, tears running down her face.
