Kat raised an eyebrow at Aroura's last comment. She poured herself a cup and brought it up to her nose, sniffing suspiciously and making a face at the smell.
"Maybe I'll pass, too..." she replied.

Diana looked at the cups point blank and stated flatly, "I don't drink tea." She looked around, trying to gather her barings still.

"I don't drink tea either, but this is just a spice concoction that I made to taste like it. I have some hot chocolate packets too if you like that better." Aroura cam back with the hot pot, steaming and the milk and sugar. "We can talk a little more about powers and things now if you want."

"That would be awesome," Kat started to get excited again. "So, if this is just like that TV show, then are we sworn to fight evil and save the world and all that?"

Aroura laughed gently.
"Basicly yes. We help out those who are in need of our help and try to protect those who need our protection and power." Aroura went back to the kitchen and got a new mug and the hot chocolate.

Kat accepted a mug of hot chocolate gratefully and started sipping. The other girl, Diana, remained pretty quiet in her seat. Kat shifted uneasily in her own.
"They...they told me I was in a car accident," Kat replied. "That's why I can't remember anything before a couple months ago. I mean, I remember my education at the college, and my family, and things like that, but there are a few months between semesters that I honestly can't remember anything. It wasn't a car wreck, was it?"

Diana's interest perked up and her barrings were finally gathered together. "Funny. I was in a car crash too." She looked up remembering. "I think it was about two years ago or something."

Aroura smiled at the two. She shifted where she sat.
"At about that time I felt a shift in energy in quite a few places. But tonight when you both put on the braclets the energy was re-balanced."

Diana looked at her, not happy about this idea. "What do you mean by that? Shift in energy? Reballanced? It doens't make any sense."

Aroura smiled. This was going to take a while but she did not mind at all the company of these two young women.
"Yes. A shift. The Earth has a balence of it's own and for a while between the time that you both were tested, the balance was off."

Kat leaned in as Aroura explained what had been happening. It made perfect sense, but it still didn't explain how they'd gotten the powers in the first place. Five years ago, she didn't have any powers, at least not to her knowledge. And then all of a sudden, everyone told her she'd been in a "car accident", and she had these strange powers? It was all very fishy. She remained silent, thinking about all this.

Aroura smiled at the two. They had so much still to learn, as did she. Aroura turned to Nagereboshi and nodded. The cat ran to the other room and brought back a small bag. Aroura smiled and handed the girls each a small locket looking thing.
"This is to get a hold of me if you are in trouble."
