Kethara thought for a moment trying to recall the name. Smiling alittle she looks up nodding "His name is Vale, he a dark blue fairie who seems to have this thing about not dating." with a shrug she sighs again. "But I also have a thing about not getting between families, and well that would be the ultimate bad thing to do."

"Hah... Okay so I know more about it..." Polgara was tickled pink, this was absolutely hilarious. "My father Sol has talked to Vale in the past about this sort of thing with his oldest daughter Joi... I guess it really didn't stick..." She shook her head slowly and sighed. "And I doubt anything I could say to him would change his mind if my father couldn't." She laughed weakly. "Well... I wish you the best of luck and happiness, whatever you decide to do."

Kethara frowns hen shakes her head "If your father couldn't get him to change his mind, then it really is hopeless." looking down at the ground she bites her lip "I think I'm gonna go lie down upstairs. I need to think before I decide what I want to do." bowing she gives Pol a weak smile "Thank you for everything. I hope you become mayor, your advice is great." with one more bow she turns running up the stairs to the second level.

Pol smiles until Ketheara leaves the room and then sighs, her face falling. The poor child, so confused and unsure of herself. But that was the territory of her age Pol had finally figured out. Something she ahd blessedly missed. With a shake of her head she moved over to the table and looked at it. She could have pulled the boy here, she was sure it wouldn't have been hard. But at the same time.
This wasn't her call. That was something she was finding harder and harder to deal with when these sorts of problems arose. You couldn't fix everybodies' problems, life just didn't work that way, and it was something Polgara was coming to terms with.
If she became Mayor, she would try to make sure she fixed as MANY problems as she could.

Dragging her reluctant teenager behind her, Dizzy enters the HQ unaware of that had become the campaign headquarters for an electorial race she was equally unaware of. In her arms, she carried many thick books. Her daughter was weighted down with books as well. Which was actuall the reason Lucia had been brought along. Dizzy needed the help returning the borrowed books to the HQ library.
She was planning on picking up a few more books to read at home this week, but the activity caught her attention. It looked like a party. She wasn't normally one to intrude uninvited, but she WAS massively curious. "Lucia, want to come see what the party is for?" She whispered to her daughter.
The pink teen looked just as curious, but had to feign uninterest, lest her mother think otherwise. "Whatever..." she mumbled, peeking into the party and spotting an elder and a few others talking.

Polgara moved away from the table and rolled her shoulders, trying to loosen herself up and figure out what to do next. She looked around the room and spotted someone looking in the door. "Oh! Hello there! Come on in!" She motioned for them to enter, after all, the more the merrier.

Dizzy was startled when she was invited in by the Elder. She set the pile of books to the side and slowly entered the room. She hadn't seen the sign of what this party was for, so she asked. "What's the special event?" She extends her hand out once she's close to the Elder. "I'm Dizzy. That ball of angest over by the door is my daughter, Lucia."
Lucia just set her books on top of the pile her mom made then rolled her eyes and entered behind her. She seen the cake and eyed it carefully. Hoping to be offered some at least.

Polgara smiled. "I'm running for Mayor of Telrunya City, this is my announcement party, so please make yourselves at home and enjoy yourselves," She smiled at Dizzy. "Nice to meet you Dizzy! Lucia," She bowed her head and offered her hand to Dizzy after closing the distance between them. "May I ask you a few questions Dizzy? If you don't mind?"

Cabel glanced up at the two Pae'il who had just entered. They looked so alike...were they related? He couldn't hear what they were saying and he wouldn't have wanted to eavesdrop anyway, so he had no idea who they might be. Shrugging, he decided to get a refill on his punch and maybe introduce himself. That is, if they were finished speaking. He didn't want to be rude and interrupt.
Standing, he made his way over to the table, refilling his drink and looking over some of the tasty-looking foods that were available. He really should get something to eat. He was a bit hungry and only punch on an empty stomach could be bad. Glancing up at the younger Pae of the two new arrivals who seemed to be standing off to herself, he called out, "What do you say? The cake or the cookies? Which would you recommend?" Might as well try and start up a conversation, and he wasn't exactly skilled in knowing how to do that. Plus, she looked like she could use someone to talk to.

After taking a few days to get used to his new form, Aoaka finally felt ready to venture onto the land again. First, he'd gone to that place by the Healing House, and while he was on that trip, he'd heard something mentioned about an election.
Now, he didn't know what this was, but it had been made to sound important. He'd also heard this place and date mentioned, and so had made it a point to journey out of the water for this.
He was unused to his legs still, his previous journeys on land having been done by floating, so he moved slowly and carefully though the door and into the room. It had taken him a while to get here, but he should have enough time to find out what an 'election' was before his skin started to get dry.
He paused at the entrance, taking note of the several Pae in the room, but didn't see anyone he recognized. If only there had been, I wouldn't be so nervous. I wish I was better at meeting people, he thought.
The three closest Pae were currently engaged in a conversation, so he stood patiently and quietly by the door, waiting to be noticed. It was rude to interrupt.

Polgara turned her head and spotted a new person. "Oh! Hello! Do come in!" She smiled and waved at the newest guest. "Make yourself at home!"

He smiled and nodded at the Pae, who must also be an elder, he now realized. He'd gone to Hi's campaign room earlier, but had had to take a break to get back in the water before he made the trek here.
"Thank you, miss. My name is Aoaka, it's nice to meet you. Uhm... I heard you're going to be part of this election? Elder Hi told me what an election was, but I was curious about your ideas. I don't know if I count, though. I mean, I live in the lake..." he'd clasped his hands behind him, but he wasn't as nervous as he thought he'd be.
Maybe it was because she was inviting him in so nicely. He'd never had a problem with Hula Bob, who'd been the same way when they first met. He decided that yes, that must be it. And with that association came an unconscious warming towards Polgara.

Polgara smiled. "Why I would be happy to answer any of your questions," She bowed her head and waved to Dizzy letting her know they would talk later. So many people she was having to juggle!
She felt alive, very much like when she'd been a mother. She laughed a little to herself. "And of course you count, anyone on the isle counts."

"I don't really know what to ask. Hm, well... since we're choosing who we think will make the best laws... what kind of things will you do?" he asked, smiling back at her, though he still clasped his hands together.

Polgara smiled. "Well..." She rolled her shoulders and let out a breath of air. "I intend to make sure that the Isle is the happiest place it can be. I don't intend to make any laws, I think things are fine the way they are right now, though people could stand to be a little happier in their day to day lives, and I'd see to it that they were," She waved her hand and murmured. "Globe." In her hand appeared a globe that looked to hold a representation of the isle. "You see..." She said holding the globe up in front of her. "People on this wonderful floating island deserve to be happy, and I will summon that into existance for them."
