Tokioka Contacts that reshape your cornea as you sleep? I've never heard of those, but I bet they must be expensive eek They're getting rather popular downunder yah! Ask your optermetrist next time! And yes, rather expensive. $_$. Almost $2000, but its better then going slowly blind or laser eye surgery where you can never ever reverse it again.

Contact lenses are made with silicon tetrachloride, aka tetrachloroselaine or SiCl4

Or get your parents to pay for it. Its really good, coz it prevents your eyes from worsening too rapidly. I love em, sure sometimes they hurt like hell, but otherwise, clear vision!!

Well my eyesight isn't worsening any more cos my eyes are pretty much matured. I just use ordinary contacts and if I asked my mum for $4000 contacts I'd probably get a slap... xp

I have needed glasses since 5th grade and never really considered wearing contacts because I have sensitive eyes. If anything comes within 1.5cm of my eyes, my eyelids automatically close down. I suppose that's normal for many people. I just recently gave a bit of thought to the use of contact lenses because I think I look better without glasses. But there's always the hazard of wearing them for too long at a time or having to wash them between uses. I don't know if I can adapt to that. Heh heh. biggrin

Heh heh. biggrin Yeh that is so true. smile I think it's pretty much the same for most people who first try contacts ~ I kept closing my eyes too soon when putting them in. But you get used to it after a week or two, so they're not as nasty as they sound.

Since I'd have to have another examination first and now that the provincial health plan doesn't cover eye examinations. sad
