V-day soon. Moo says 'Day of Love'. Love is confusing. Might make cupcakes for friends. Been working hard on biology. Cooking would be a nice change. Too much typing. Hate this keyboard.

Taking a break from work. TOok up gymnastics. Saw it on TV, reminded of squirrels on telephone wire. Can play on wire now without fear of zaps or fall 'cause of abilities. Take full advantage. Gymnastics is fun <3

And off she goes...
Not long afterwards, there was another soft 'ding' as the door opened once more. Moo stepped inside, holding the door open for Acia to dart in after her, then letting it swing closed and looking around the shop. She flashed a grin of greeting to LP and Keppit, sent a wave towards Lenta, and was about to speak when Acia interupted.
"We're baaaaaaaaaack!" The glider shouted, darting over to hower in the middle of the room. Acia spun in a circle, taking in the shop at a glance, then completely disregarded the humans and shot over towards the tiger nuggled between two plushies. "Willow!! It's sooo good to see you again! How've you been?!" Sure, Willow looked kinda tired. But she wasn't asleep -yet-, so she would surely want to talk, yes??
Lenta opened her mouth to reply to LP, but then Moo entered; with the distraction, Lenta was able to avoid LP's invitation. She didn't want to interrupt anything, and she wouldn't have spoken anyways... It hurt just to sit there. Maybe she should've gone home...
But, Ophelia was still there.
"Hi there." Lenta murmured in response, the words muffled because her head was pressed against her legs. "Umm... A... tea party?" Well, Lenta liked kids... She couldn't just say no, could she? The shy girl lifted her head slightly, so that she could speak clearly. "Sure, I guess so..."
*Ophelia Squealed* YAY!!! NOW WE NEED TEA AND SWEETS TO EAT!!! *she blinking watching Acia and she pointed up wanting Lenta to look* Flying Mousey thing! Lookie!
*LP sighed* Good lord this is so gunna be a mad house... Acia dear Willow's got a hurt back don't be careful she's been grouchy 'cause of it. *Looking to moo she blinks* So your back hun? Where've you two been? *afterwards sighing at Ophelia while rubbing the back of her neck* Kiddo I don't think the shop has cookies and tea, I'll go look in a second but I doubt it....
*Willow nodded softly to acia watching her as her tail twitched*
"That's Acia." Lenta mumbled, slowly placing her feet on the ground. "She's Moo's Velveteen, and she's a sugar glider. They're like squirrels, but with flaps of skin between their legs." Okay, so that wasn't true (at least, not the squirrel part), but Ophelia didn't look like the kind of faerie that would sit around for a long explanation. If Lenta could even muster up the confidence to give her one...
"How about we have a play tea-party?" Lenta offered, folding her arms against her chest. She felt... well... sorta cold, and a bit vunerable, with her feet on the ground and all. She didn't like it.
Glancing over to LP, Acia nodded slightly before turning back to Willow, alighing on the shelf and bending to pat the tiger's paw reassuringly. "Awww, I'm sorry, Willow. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll feel better soon." She paused as Ophelia's cry reached her, then sent Willow another sweet smile. "I'll be right back, kay?"
Whirling around, Acia jumped off the shelf and took to the air, darting direction towards Ophelia and hovering just inches from her. "I am most certainly NOT a mouse! I am a sugar glider! And even though mice are nice because Trea is a mouse, I am NOT a mouse. See the tail?!"
Moo watched Acia in silence, rying to decide if she should try and shut the glider up, but finally decide it was a lost cause and returned her attention to LP, shrugging. "Back enough. Just been busy... We've finally found a chance to drop by, though, so here we are."
*Ophelia Laughed at Acia* Your a funny Mouse! OHHHHH you talk to! Wanna pway Tea party!? I get kitty! *she ran over to willow*
*LP started laughing so hard she almost fell off the couch* Acia give up dear Ophelia dunno the difference. She's too young. *Looking to moo* wanna help me find some tea and cookies? She'll drive me nuts if I don't. *nodding to the little fae girl* *Willow's eyes narrow and she shakes her head at acia; then looking at Ophelia she snarls as if to say touch me you get scratched.*
Lenta watches silently, then quickly pulls her legs up to her chest once more; It was painful to sit there without any protection.
"A regular tea-party it is, then." She murmurs to herself, wrapping one arm around her legs and using the other to finger her key. For a fleeting moment, she found herself wondering if her Velvet would participate in tea parties... And then, the thought was gone, and she just smiled to herself.
Before Acia could reply, Ophelia had bustled off to get Willow; the glider immediately followed, once again alighting on the shelf, this time infront of Willow. "No, I will not play, little fairy person. And neither will Willow, because she's hurt. So there! Go bug Lenta now." The glider was still a bit miffed about being called a mouse. Deciding to ignore Ophelia, the flopped down on the shelf beside Willow, smiling at the tiger. "I'll protect you, and you'll get better and everything'll be good again."
Moo chuckled softly and shook her head, raising an eyebrow at LP. "I doubt you'll find anything. They don't have much food here that I know of Maybe in Nar's basement, but he doesn't exactly strike me as a tea-and-cookies kind of guy."
*LP shurged* Well then I run out and buy a box of cookies and tea or something to drink... if you odn't mind watching willow I'll take the kiddy with me then you only have to worry 'bout the "kitty" *looking to acia* you could atleast humor her she's only a kid.... just 'cause your smarter than her and understand things better doesn't mean she knows what your talking about. Would you rather her call you squrill? That can be aranged *Ophelia's eyes teared up and her bottom lip began to quiver, and she walked over to LP and pointed towards acia and willow* Kitty and mousey mean! *Willow mrowls a thanks to acia*
Acia blinked, turning to look over at LP. She opened her mouth to reply, but choked up and snapped it shut, glowering over at the woman. The little fairy thing had started it!! Acia was NOT a mouse (nor a squirrel, though that was closer), and this little whateveritwas had called her onne even after she told her she wasn't! Then the fairy was going to bother Willow, who was already hurt and cranky, so Acia had gone to help.
And now... And now the little fairy was calling her mean!? She wasn't mean?!....was she??? Jax and Adroi and Coen and Lyrus never called her mean! ....Admittedly, they couldn't talk much yet, but...but...she wasn't mean!!! She was just defending Willow! Or...or maybe she was mean?! Maybe she was turning into an mad evil scientist like Aeo had said!?
The glider jumped to her feet and took to the air, summoning perhaps a larger gust than was necessary in her haste. She darted over to LP and Ophelia, pausing just long enough to mutter an 'I'msorryI'mmeanIdidn'tmeantoI'lljustgonowbye' before ducking around them both and towards the door, opening with a gust and dissappearing outside.
A protest died on Moo's lips as the glider darted outside. Instead, she sighed and rolled her eyes, heading for the door after Acia. "I'll go find her..."
Moo I'll get her. If you can watch Ophelia. I think it might be best if I go talk to her... I mean after all this is my fault. *She looked at Ophelia* And you will be getting a talking to as well after this is over with. You stay here and be good play with the plush toys and not with willow. Understand? *LP walked over to moo and put a hand on her shoulder* won't take me long. Or shouldn't...
*Willow sighed getting up and and jumping down from the shelf she was on to follow LP walking sorely but still she had to go... after all this was acia.*
*Ophelia sniffles and nods softly watching acia fly off.*
"Ehh..." Moo hesitated, one hand on the doorknob. Sighing, she shook her head. "Were it anyone but Acia, I'd say yes, but I doubt you'll be able to find her. She wouldn't have stuck around, I'm sure. She probably headed home. She doesn't get upset often..." Moo shrugged slightly, flashing a faint smile. "I really don't know what to expect. Wouldn't want you to risk a shock."
*LP looked at Moo* Hrmm well how 'bout you take willow and go find acia then? Tell her I want to talk to her. I mean after all I do beleive this is mostly my fault for having the Fae kid with me *she said the last part in a low voice.* I thought iris might be around... *Willow nodded and pawed at moo's leg she knew she that this might cause her more pain if she went but she'd rather find acia than seeing her friend mad*
"Well..." Moo trailed off, glancing down at the tiger pawing at her leg. Finally she nodded and carefully picked up Willow, holding the little tiger in her arms and smiling to LP. "We shouldn't be too long.. And don't worry about it. I think 'Cia just overreacted. She's normally very good with kids..." Trailing off once more, Moo shrugged and turned back to the door, opening it and heading out to search for the glider.
*LP waved to moo and sat down on the couch with a sigh* *The little Fae walked over to LP and looked at her* I do something wrong? *She gave LP this big puppy-dog eyed look.* .... *LP just looked at her for a while with out saying anything, afterwards muttering* go play with the plush toys.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Lp looked over to lenta* you haven't said much.... s'matter?
In truth, Lenta hadn't been paying attention. Once Ophelia had fluttered off to bother Acia, she had slipped into a daydream. However, LP's words pulled her back to reality, and she blinked before answering softly.
"Nothing. Just thinking." And, she had been. But man, they were some sorta thoughts...
*LP shurged looking at Lenta* Welll thinking makes one's head hurt.
"Not mine." Lenta replied, without looking at LP. She cleared her throat, and let the volume of her voice rise a bit. People (er, mainly Fenwrit and Mauli) told her that she was hard to hear sometimes, and she didn't want that to happen in front of a fellow owner. That would've been horrible...
"I like thinking." She stated simply, her fingers running down the cool metal of her key.
*LP shurgs* if you say so.... stilll think it makes you head hurt.
"What sort of thinking do you do?" Lenta asked softly, finally lifting her head to look at LP.
The kind that gets you into trouble *LP said with a soft shurg watching ophelia.*
Lenta laughed, although it was so soft of a sound, it could barely be heard. Then, she slipped into silence, processing this information and letting it float to the back of her mind.
"You like getting into mischief, then..?" She murmured, looking away from LP once more.
Well not like..... *She pondered* More like you should say mischief finds me... 'cause that's the way it works. Willow and Ophelia included *Ophelia's head lifts up as if to say wha? she then goes back to playwith the plush toys making them attack each other and such.*
Lenta nodded, storing that information as well.
"I like to... think about things I read. And daydream." She mumbled in response, staring down at the ground. One hand was still wrapped around that dab-blamed key.... She hadn't let it go, 'cept for that one second earlier, and it had quickly found its way back into her hand. It was as if she was afraid that someone would enter, and quickly snatch it away from her.
The door opened as Moo finally returned, stepping in with a sigh and walking over to one of the couches. She dropped onto it and set Willow on her lap, gently petting the tiger's back. For a short while she was silent, then looked up and shook her head slightly. "Couldn't find her.."
*LP ohhhed at lenta* well sounds fun enough *looking to moo* nau? =.=' well when you see her tell her LP wants to talk to her, will you?
"I'll tell her," Moo promised, cracking a smile. Yawning, she picked Willow up and set the tiger on the couch beside her, then stod and started back or the door. "Well, I'ma head home. Wanna be there when she gets back. See ya 'round, peoples." Without waiting for a reply, she waved a goodbye and slipped out the door, heading back towards the House.

03/??/05 Acia ran away. I've been looking for her for hours, but... i don't know where she went... She could be anywhere! That shop door works strangely, and if she was thinking of some otherwhere.. I don't know what to do. Where could she be? Where would she go!? Acia thinks in facts, not places. Who knows where it might have taken her...? I'm going to go keep searching... Recruit some more people to help. Gods, what if she's gone into the forest?! It's possible, but... Damn, not the forest... I'll have to get Isto and Jack to search it, recruit the....well, best not mention them in writing. The Daewl would have my head. Scion! Scion can help too! Yes... This might work. More as it happens. ---Moo

Sunday, May 15th, 2005Soundfile - 12 We're home!!! Wow, it's been absolutely ages! Ah, I've missed this house... but the trip was So cool! And now I've got a new speaker, so I can tell you all about it!!
Right, so, Moo and I went to this big plane convention thingy. Kinda like a car show, but with planes. It was REALLY cool, log! But we just looked. Didn't buy anything, or we would have probably been home a lot sooner... but yeah, that's not the point. It was fun!
We too Moo's little crop duster plane to get there, and the unreliable little thing broke down AGAIN on the way home. Moo really needs a new plane. We landed right in the middle of this big huge forest, so even when I flew up above the trees, I couldn't see the end of them! We picked a direction and started walking.
And went in the complete wrong direction. Actually, we did a full circle over a course of three days and ended up right at our little plane again. So we picked another direction and went that way. And got lucky.
We happened upon this little bitty village. Their 'courthouse' (it was really just a big fancy cabin, log) had a phone, so Moo called home and told Banda we'd be late, then called Isto and told him what parts we needed to fix the plane and asked him to mail them to the courthouse. Moo wouldn't leave without her plane.
So, we spend the next six weeks in that village. Or, Moo spent it in the village. I spent most of my time in the forest, 'cause it was normal, not creepy like the one around our house. And it was big and quiet, and...
There were gliders there! Well, not like me, but almost! I'm a sugar glider, and they're flying squirrels, so it's close, right? They were SO much more fun than the normal squirrels! Not only because they could glide, but they were also great acrobats. Not that normal squirrels aren't, but all I did with them was run. I don't like running much. Flying is better.
With these flying squirrels, they would kick off and glide to wherever they were going, flip around the branch, kick off, and do it again! So I did too! At first it was really hard and scraped up my hands to hold onto the branches, but I got used to that after a few days. I also had to rely a lot on the wind to be able to do anything when I started. It would carry me most of the way and be just like flying normally. But the flying squirrels got annoyed with the sudden changing winds, so I had to ease up on that.
It was hard... I never knew I relied so heavily on it. I don't walk more than short distances, really. I always fly 'cause it takes so long otherwise. But I didn't get to here. I had to keep up without that. I always fell behind at first... Always. The squirrels could run faster and jump farther and could glide without controlling the wind. I just...couldn't.
But I kept trying, you know? Eventually I managed to control the wind to where there was just enough to let me glide, rather than a larger gust to actually carry me around. It was tiring, log! At first, anyway. I never thought tiny winds would be harder to control than big ones. but I suppose it's all the limiting controls. When it's small, you have to keep it small or it gets big really quickly. When it's big, it kinda gains an loses air at random, 'cause I didn't bother to limit the size. I'll have to look into this more now that I'm home.
Anywho, I had a lot of time to really improve my gymnastics. Running along tree branches, doing all those flips and such... I even climbed straight to the top of one of the trees! I'm a lot stronger than I used to be, log, even though I don't look it. It was a fun trip. Now all I need to do it get my floor gymnastics up to par with the bars...
But enough about that. I checked in with Moo every couple of nights, but mostly stayed with the squirrels. One night near the end of the trip, when I was staying with them, I found this little dragony thing curled up at the foot of the tree we were gonna sleep in. She was little bitty... only a few inches tall.
The squirrels didn't like her very much. I talked to her a bit, though. Yeah, she talked, if not very well. But that was alright! She was still really young, too. Her name's Miire, and I invited her to come stay with me and Moo. She said yes! So she lives with us now, and is gonna help me in my lab....when I work there. She'll be a big help, I'm sure. She can manipulate most metals. Somethin about being of the element mercury. Dunno, I'll have to ask her about it.
So...the parts finally arrived and Moo fixed the plane. I siad goodbye to the squirrels, and the three of us came home. And here we are! But I think Moo's leaving on another trip soon... She's taking Banda somewhere. I'm going to stay with Jack and Isto!! And I bet they'll take me to the shop!!
Oh, I can't wait, log... I miss my frinds so much! It's been absolute ages since I've seen them... I'ma go now. Good thing I got a new speaker, or I'd have never been able to write all this. Byes!

They were finally coming back!! After nearly two months away, they were home, and all was well and good and perfect in the world again! At least.. Acia was home. Moo had already sped off on another trip, and the glider was staying with her older 'brothers'. ....But that didn't matter! Because she was back, and excited, and would finally get to see all her friends again!
The door burst open in a whirl of wind, and Acia darted inside, flinging her arms wide and spinning a quick circle midair. "WE'RE BACK! We-....Where is everyone?"
"It doesn't look like anyone's here, shorty," came the response from the door as Isto stepped in after her. The mohawked SM glanced quickly around the room, then returned his eyes to Acia with a shrug. "Not likeanything had really been planned. We'll stick around for a bit. Maybe someone'll show up, aye?"
The glider nodded absently in reply, gradually letting the wind fade. She alighted on the floor with ease and set about trying to free her hair from the pins she had been holding it up with. Excitement meant lack of control, and that meant static. Lots of it. Thus, her hair (and fur) was sticking defiantly to any surface that came near it. Plenty of work for Acia to calm it down.
And a good thing too that they stuck around because a short while later the door opened again. This time to reveal D with Sidney riding up high on her shoulder with his tail around her neck.
She looked very surprised to see a... well, it had a tail but was also reasonably human shaped. Gee, she should be used to all the half-breeds and demons that found their way to this shop.
"Uh hi." She said with a quickly growing smile. "Another new customer? Maybe I can.... oh!" She had spotted the familiar shape of Acia on the floor and this caused her to brighten right up considerably. "Hello Acia and?" She gave a polite nod to the Skull-monkey
Sidney however had tasted the familiar scent of a velvet as soon as they had come in. His tongue flickered excitedly, the scent was rather familiar.... and then he had spotted Acia too! Well, he spotted her first and had already begun to climb down D's arm as she had said hello too.
"Acia! Hey Acia!" He cried, grinning and showing off his sharp little fangs.
At the sound of the door opening, Isto glanced back over his shoulder to it, flashing a quick smile in greeting. He nodded politely and flicked his metal hand towards the glider, chuckling. "Nah, not a customer. Acia's..um..brother. Moo went out of town again, and most of the shorties are staying with me."
Acia had somehow managed to only tangle her hair further, and failed to notice the arrival of the pair, distracted as she was. However, when she heared the greetings, she immediately forgot what she was doing and turned towards the voices. The glider perked up considerably when she recognized their sources and waved excitedly in greeting. "Hallo Sidney! And D! That's my brother Isto," she added, pointing towards the SM. "Isto, meet D and Sidney."
Seeing as Sidney had quickly coiled down her arm and had now reached her hand, D bent lower to deposit him on the floor so he could go greet his old friend. Which he did excitedly.
He slithered straight up to her, grinning all the while and his little fists cletched in excitement. Ah Acia! Whom he had named his boat after! Though the boat hadn't actually sailed well at all... or even moved due to it being far to heavey to do anything other than float precariously. But still! He was fixing it and it was still called Acia.
"I haven't ssseen you in agesss!" He cried, his hissing lisp getting worse as he tried to speak too quickly for the words to come out properly. "Bet you've been on an adventure! I bet you have! Everyone who I don't ssee for forever goes on an adventure! You have to take me with you next time. I've been practisssing my ssskillss." He finally paused his garbling to turn and look at Isto. D had raised him to be polite after all. "Isssto? Ah I think I've heard of you! Hello! You're Acia'ss brother?"
D smiled at the glider's manners. "Hi Isto." She gave him a wave before wandering in further instead of just standing in the doorway. "Nice to meet you. So you're looking after Acia while Moo is away?"
The glider had absolutely no qualms about nearly knocking her friend over in a hug, and promptly did just that. "Oh, I've missed you! We've been gone so long... But we're back now, and the trip was SO amazing, Sidney!!" Releasing him, she took a small step back, positively beaming up at her friend. "It was my best adventure yet, I think!! 'Course, the zombie thing was pretty neat... but this was better, 'cause it was long, and I learned so much from it! Oh, I'll have to tell you all about it if we have time.. nex time you have to come with me, Sidney! We haven't been on an adventure together since we grew, I think..."
"It's nice to meet you both," Isto replied cheerfully, sending a little wave to both. Glancing down to Sidney, he nodded, flashing a grin. "I know I've heard of you. And of course! Can't you see the resemblence?" He gestured from himself to Acia, who simply rolled her eyes at the idea, then winked to both Velvets and turned back to D. "Mmhmm, I usually get the job. But I don't mind. I don't get to see them very often otherwise."
D gave a little nod towards the couch and then after a pause, sat herself down. Sure Iris and Naraka told them to make themselves comfortable, it just seemed a bit impolite to do so when the other people were still standing around.
"Resemblance?" D tilted her head once she was sitting and looking back towards the Skull Monkey. She had never encountered one before and had no idea what he was. "I didn't know there were older Velvets. And well, if it helps you keep in touch then it can't be a bad thing. Besides, I'm sure Acia is no trouble." D smiled over at the glider. She assumed Isto meant he had moved out of home?
Isto didn't have that same 'tinge' to his scent that Sidney could usualy taste on other velvets. He flickered his tongue curiously at the larger 'glider'. Well, he did have a furry tail and so did Acia. "Have you? Oh.." Sidney didn't quite know what to think. What had Acia been saying about him? But he didn't think it mattered too much, he was being squeezed rather tightly by Acia. He returned her hug, though not too tight.
"I missed you too! I have to show you something soon. It's at home though. And yesss! I'll come! D, I can go next time right? I know how to read maps... well mostly. And all sorts of survival stuff and exploring stuff. Like you alwaysss need a compasss and provisions. And you're right, we haven't had a real adventure since we grew. It'll be sso much better now too." He nodded happily. "But tell me about it! I want to hear. Did you go ssailing acrossss the ocean?"
By this point, Isto was trying not to laugh, and Acia had decided she should explain. Isto's sarcasm was enough to confuse anyone. "Isto's not -really- my brother, nor is he a Velvet. But he's sorta my brother, 'cause Moo raised him too. He's a SkullMonkey. He used to help me invent stuff, but then he got married and moved out, so I don't see him too often." The glider nodded decisively, then turned back to Sidney.
"We could've really used a map.. We got lost! That's why it took so long to get back. I've never used a map or, um, compass, you said? Or anything like that. Our adventure was really unexpected. We'll have to plan the next one so that it won't be as dangerous... But yeah, it was So cool, Sid! We didn't go sailing, but we did fly in a plane. But then the plan wrecked, and we got stuck in this forest, and...um, not a lot happened, really. But I did meet some flying squirrels! Almost like me! And they taught me to not rely on wind so much, and lots of gymnastics stuff, and..hmm... Well, I stayed with them most of the time. I can do some neat tricks now!"
"What she said," Isto replied, nodding towards Acia. Chuckling softly, he stepped over to the couch and sunk down beside D, relaxing back. "I don't think Velvets'll ever get this tall. I can't imagine Acia over two feet. And it's not a bad thing, no. Or, not usually. Acia's no trouble, but some of the younger ones... Eh, Slush is out of town too, so I'm watching about ten kids on my own. It gets a bit hectic. I talked Jack into babysitting the lot while I bring Acia here.."
Sidney simply nodded at Acia's explaination. "Ah, Like D's my mum but she's not a snake." But he didn't waste too much time with that, Acia was starting her tale!
"Losst? No wonder I hadn't sseen you! Yeah, you really need a map and compasss. Help point you in the right direction. And you went in a plane? I've never been in one before. They go up sssso high! Bet you liked that Acia. Don't know if crashing is sso good though. Did it explode? They alwayss explode in the filmss. And some flying ssquirrels? I didn't know squirrels could fly. But they're like you? That'ss cool. Ooo and you'll have to sshow me!"
"Ah right." D gave a chuckle, giving in to the noticable attempts Isto made not to start laughing himself. She didn't ask what a skull monkey was exactly. There was one sitting right beside her after all. And he had a monky-like tail so that would explain that.
"I did wonder. There's quite a err... hight difference. But then again, I don't know if velvets grow any taller with time. Oh and congratulations with your marriage. With 10 'shorties' back at home it must be a pleasant relief and bit of peace. Goodness me.... I can't even think of how I would cope looking after 10 children! Hetic is the word! But yeah, I'm glad you did bring Acia, Sid and I haven't seen her for ages. Afraid I don't know Slush or Jack though."
Though D kept her attention mostly on Isto, since that's who he was conversing with, she glanced over occassionally to listen in to Acia. She was curious too.
"Well, we had a map, but we really weren't sure where we were on it, so it was hard to use it. I love planes! Moo has a little one--it only seats two passengers, and the top's open. It didn't explode when we crashed, thankfully, but a few parts did break off. I got the wind to help lower us gently, ya know? So it wasn't as bad as it could have been. And they were special squirrels! Like I was when I was still and animal, with the wingish things, you know? But they were brown, not gray. I'd be happy to show you!"
Pausing, the glider glanced around the room for anything she could use to demonstrate. After all the time swinging or branches and whatnot with those squirrels, her bar routines were much better than her floor ones. But there was nothing... "I'm still have a bit of trouble with the floor stuff, but I can show you some, yes?" Without waiting for a reply, she turned and ran a short distance, then performed a cartwheel, round-off, and back hand spring in quick sucession, landing on her feet facing Sidney some distance away. She waited a moment for her head to stop spizzing (floor routines always made her dizzy), then grinned and threw up her arms. "Ta-daa!"
"Thanks!" Isto smiled proudly, then chuckled, nodding. "Oh, it is, it is...At least they're only there for a short while, though. Poor Banda had to watch them for Moo's last trip, and she was gone for over six weeks then... Oh, um, Banda and Jack are my brothers, and Slush is my hubby." He paused to observe Acia's tumbling act, then rolled his eyes, flashing a grin. "She's been doing things like that since she got back. She could do a bit before she left, of course, but she's really improved... S'pretty neat."

I had a birthday, log! As of yesterday, I am -officially- one year old. Aren't you proud? I know I sure am. It doesn't sound very old, though. One. One's a very small number. But Velvets are small, so I suppose it's fitting. One whole year...
Erae and I have the same birthday, log. I think I've already told you that, in fact. They threw a birthday party fod us... They being Moo, Kanth, and a bunch of other Velvets an their people. It was absolutely wonderful, log. It was...I was so flattered.
I got a bunch of presents, too! Just a bonus, of course. But yeah, Erae gave me this beautiful sunflower plant... It's got one really big flower, and right now I'm keeping it outside of my lab's window. It didn't seem to like being inside. But it's already getting bigger! And it's so cool, log, because it moves to face the sun! Such a lovely plant...
And then Sidney and D gave me some really good gloves for my mechanic work. They're thick and have these little grippy things on them, so I can hold stuff better and not accident cut myself or anything. I wonder where they found them... They're so small! I've just been using doll gloves for my lab stuff, but these are so much better, log.
They also gave me this long ribbon on a stick... I was a bit confused at first, but Sidney explained that some gymnastics performers sort of dance with them while doing their routines. It's -so- pretty, log. The ribbon itself is sort of a tie-dyed rainbow...It flows from one color to another as it goes along, and it's shiny! It makes my routines a little harder to hold it and not get tangle up and such, but I think they look -much- better.
I've spent today fixing up my tool belt to hold the gloves and ribbon stick. It didn't exactly have spaces for them, 'cause it was mostly just a belt, but I sort of...tore all the leather parts off and sewed them back on differently, so now they're space. Not that it's very pretty. I'm bad at sewing. I'll have to get a new, better one. Hmm...
Isto and Jack came to visit for my birthday, too, and stayed for didn't leave until after I had gone to bed. They didn't bring any presents, but it was really good to see them. Isto promised he would make me something extra special at his forge for next time he sees me, but he wouldn't tell me what... I guess I can wait, though. It'll be worth it, I'm sure, knowing Isto.
And, um, that's about it, really. Things just sort of are. I'm gonna have to try and talk Moo into taking me around the center more. I don't see my friends nearly often enough, I think.
Buh-bye now, log!

My lord, log, it's been absolute ages since I've put an entry in here! I'd forgotten completely about it, I think, what with everything going on, its just... I've been so busy, and Moo hasn't been herself, and I've really been avoiding the house lately, and... Oh, I don't know where to begin. My last entry was...what, my birthday? Well, that's a start...
That was, what, three months ago? My, um... Well, it wasn't until about a month after my birthday that things started to change. See... We were working in my lab, right? Moo and I. on this special formula for something--she wouldn't tell me exactly what. Just gave me instructions and I did them.
We were doing really well, I think, but then Pod came in and was all nervous and bugging Moo and stuff and--
Oh, I forgot. You don't know about Pod, do you, log? Pod is... Um... I don't really know who he is. He showed up here one day, but Moo seems to know him from somewhere... He's living here now, and he's pretty nice and stuff, but... Dunno, he makes me nervous.
Anyway, he came in and was just... really nervous for some reason, and Moo was really nervous, and they got into this big fight, but Moo tried to keep working on the project anyway. And then... I don't know, something went wrong and there was this big explosion and flash and...
I don't know, log. I woke up after a little while and couldn't remember anything, and Moo and Pod were both out cold on the floor. I didn't know what to do, I--It was.... really, really scary, log.
They woke up after a little while... Pod had this big cut on his forehead and was blinking a lot, but was alright otherwise. Moo... Well, um, Moo sort of freaked out and threw a book at me. Pod had to calm her down...
She couldn't remember anything, log. She couldn't even remember who she was for a while, and when she did remember, she wasn't... well, Moo. She thinks her name's Saoni, and that the House is supposed to be a palace, and that she's royalty... And she doesn't remember who anyone is. Except for Pod.
It's so strange, log... She kicked poor Banda out of the house! And he can't hear! And probably would have kicke dout more people if Pod hadn't shown up and stopped her. She thinks Isto's a witch or something, and flatly refuses to even talk to Jack for some reason.
And she called me a flying rat! She still does, log! A -rat- of all thing! I mean, yeah, I've met a mouse Velvet before, and nothing against her, but I am NOT a rat! Rats are mean and smelly and have rabies and such. And wormy looking tails. My tail is not a worm!
But, yeah, that was months ago now... Banda's still gone, Moo's still loopy, and I... I've been mostly avoiding the house. I've run out of ideas for my lab without Moo to help. It's just not as fun. I -have- been practicing gymnastics a lot, especially with that ribbon that D and Sid gave me, but that's pretty boring now, too. It gets old pretty quick when you don't have anything else to do.
Things haven't been all that miserable, I guess. I have two sisters now: Miire's old enough now to hold a decent conversation with, at least, so we're a lot closer. And Tia grew just before Moo's accident. Tia's something called a tea fae, and she's a little taller than me. She's fun a lot of the time, but can be kind of bratty.
The three of us share a room 'cause we're all so small. Tia says we should decorate it better and find real furniture and stuff. 'Since its pretty dull and we're just using pillows and things for beds. Maybe we'll start on that soon. it could be fun, I guess... Tia has some weird ideas, though.
I wonder what my friends have been up to... I haven't seen them since my birthday... Maybe I'll go visit someone soon. Sid or Erae or Ana. Now if only I knew where they lived...
