Lucius' face faltered a bit. "By?" He asked curiously. He wanted to know if he needed to go and brush away some tracks...
No... He shouldn't do that... If Kethara really had...
Damnit... he sighed and shook his head slowly.

Devyn eyed the woman oddly, muttering his response. "Gee, not last time I checked...apparently I should check again..." He hadn't thought he was crazy, but if he was ever trying to hit on her, he must be! For someone so beautiful, she sure had a bad attitude.
Arms crossed in irritation over his chest, he listened in silence to the conversation for a bit. Something wasn't right here. This guy was too quick with his refusals and faltered on other responses. He was hiding something...
The question was whether it was something important...or something stupid, personal, and completely unrelated to the matter at hand.
While the other two were busy, Devyn's eyes scanned the ground, studying it for the apparent 'footprints' the Elder had mentioned earlier. Maybe they held some other clue that she'd missed or hadn't told him about. While he may not have been all that interested at first, now he was bound and determined to solve this mystery.
If for no other reason than to do so before Jazz could. That'd show her for being so rude.

The tracks led into Loka Nei, so that's where Saffron followed. He had no idea where he was going though, and only hoped that Aoaka was still following him. He really thought it was a good idea if they stuck together rather than risking it on their own.
Pausing briefly, he studied the prints. While they had been easier to follow in the Marsh, they remained visible here as well, fortunately for the two males. But, where did they lead? He glanced up, trying to determine where in Telrunya these darned tracks were leading them.

Jazz had not ment to be rude, she was just tried of being treated badly and may have snapped at Devyn when she shouldnt' have. She looked back at him with a smile and wispered. "You think he's up to something?" Hopefully the other wouldn't hear her.
Jazz then looked back to the other teen. "I don't know about that one. As you said it could be me and I said it could be you. Heck it could be him, but I doubt it. He's so far the best teen male I've met in the last few days." Even though she wasn't so sure about him, he still seemed better then Phim and now this boy...who looked a bit familar now that she thought about it. Maybe she knew his parents after all?

Devyn eyed the woman skeptically for a moment, then his look softened a bit. She sure changed moods quickly, didn't she? Ah well...it seemed like she was trying, so he'd make the same effort. "Of course I do," he whispered back. "He's acting as nervous as I did as a little kid trying to tell my father I had no idea where the last apple went." He rolled his eyes with a smirk, remembering the incident. Yeah, he was a horrible liar as a kid.
He nearly blushed at the almost-compliment from Jazz, though he wasn't sure he was quite taking the comment correctly. Who knew? At least he wasn't the worst she'd met? That was something, right? Ugh...confusing. Anyway, let her talk to the guy; the demon was going to take a good look around. He walked back to the footprints...they seemed to end. Did the Pae take flight? Or had the prints simply been muddled? He extended his search outward, looking to see if the prints reappeared nearby.

Jazz nodded to the demon teen. He was right. If this boy didn't do it then he knew something. Maybe who did or maybe even they were there. Still, she wasn't going to barge into someone house. "Well, good luck." She said. She ment it as whatever the boy took it as.
Jazz flew back down to where the other teen had went. "Well, there were more footprints. I think I will head there and follow a different set. Would you like to join me?" Jazz held out her hand with a smile. "If I didn't say it I'm Jazz."

Aoaka had continued on into Loka Nei with Saffron, following the tracks, but still diligently searching the trees as well. They'd been walking for so long, and still had little to no idea what had happened... he hoped these tracks led somewhere.

"That sounds like a good plan," Devyn agreed. He'd been looking for such a set of footprints as it was without luck. Maybe they could work together afterall, though he'd be sure to keep a wary eye out in case the Elder's mood shifted dramatically again. "Name's Devyn," he commented, shaking her hand firmly.
"So, this set of footprints just...ended here? That's strange... Well, you said there were others? Where shall we go next?"
----------------
"Geez, where in the world are we going?" Saffron muttered tiredly. The tracks led on and on, never seeming to end...as if the two weren't already tired from trekking through the Marsh earlier. Bending over to examine the trail more closely, Saffron took the opportunity as a chance to take a momentary break. "I hope these prints are actually leading us somewhere. Guardians help us if whoever we're following decided to take to the air." He cringed at the thought, praying that wasn't the case. That would make tracking their adversary all the more difficult...if not impossible.

((I'll move her back to the marsh after this post so you can join me Teig!))
Jazz nodded. "Nice to meet you Devyn. Well, yeah this is where it ended. I think someone was in that house, but oh well." She shurgged. She wasn't going to force the teen.
"Yep, a few others in the Marsh. Let's go there and follow a different set." With that Jazz flew off towards the marsh.

((See ya' there!))
Devyn glanced back reluctantly at the house. He didn't want to leave a potential lead behind...but what more could they do short of threatening the other male? Perhaps they'd come across another clue that could help them out elsewhere...
"Alright, let's....go?" He turned around only to see Jazz already on her way. Shrugging, he spread his wings wide and set off after her.

Aoaka thought of all the wasted time they'd have spent if the tracks did lead to a dead end. And they hadn't even found anything along the way, either! He sighed, and tried to pull his long hair, now stringy with mud, back from his face.
"We'll find something, Saffron," he said, trying to keep the mood optimistic.

"Heh, I sure hope so," Saffron replied, rubbing the back of his neck tiredly as he studied the next of what was quickly becoming an obnoxiously identical series of footprints. Would they really? He was starting to doubt it. No clues for sometime now, other than the endless trail of course.
"Ah well, there has to be SOMETHING at the end of this path, right?" He looked up, popping his neck loudly as he did so. Squinting as he peered through the forest, he wondered if he saw something in the distance...or if he was just imagining it. Probably hallucinating...

Aoaka nodded. They just had to be positive... though that was hard in this troublesome, hard to traverse place. At least it wasn't as hard as the marsh was, and the ground was a little harder now. The humid air, at least, wasn't a hindrance for the Naiad, and probably helped him to stay out here longer.
He pushed on, gaining a bit of ground on Saffron, as if subconsciously showing him how confident he was that they'd find something. His eyes scanned the ground, and he occasionally glanced up to see what they were heading into.
