bluefox7 1un4r __penguin__ Woow, 50 songs a day? sweatdrop I'm assuming that's not all at once, right? I think the most heavy songs I can do in a row is like, 20... but the hard part will definitely be trying to find time to play ~50 songs a day, what with SAT prep courses and being in 3 bands, 3 honors classes, and 1 AP class. whee 50 songs is only about an hour and a half (including song-selection time, brief rests, etc), so I'd say that's a decently healthy DDR session. Really? I thought it was about 30 per an hour. 1:30 x 50 = 75 minutes.

I play it for fun and to keep weight off, not to lose any. But it all depends on the person. I play for about 7 hours a day, hehe. The highest record (of how long I've danced compared to jogging) was 15 miles.

I have lost over 20 pounds. I havent had time to play. One time, I played for 6 hours striaght in the arcade! Thank goodness for free game play and knowing people there. I know a friend who lost over 160 pounds because of DDR. I was shocked to hear about that.

This friend probably also excercised ate well (hurf durf) and took diet pills. And maybe threw up after meals. If it it were just DDR, odds are they would gain weight insted of losing it due to building muscle.

And you can lose weight while gaining muscle. If it weren't possible to lose weight by exercising because you're just getting muscles, no one would exercise to lose weight, and not everyone takes diet pills.

DDR's a great workout, but over 160 lbs? Come on, you're not going to lose an entire person's worth of weight from this game alone.

By exercising 3-4 times a day it gives your muscles time to relax before they're used again, preventing muscle build up while losing weight. Some people actually pay attention in health class. -.-

And I'd stay on topic if I were you.
Just saying.
