Kaosu smiled at the girl's remark. "You remind me way too much of a friend of mine." He smiled, turning his body sideways in an attempt to dodge the strike. That's when he saw the blast of energy. Heading towards them all. He knew he couldn't move...no one could.
He just stared at the attack, slowly coming closer until he saw a leaf land on his shoulder. He looked back up and saw what looked to be a wall of...vines? He didn't know there was a nature zanpakutou...that could do something so powerful.
That's when he realized he was still fighting. He looked over, and by that time he felt the blade rip into his torso. He winced, backing up a step. He grabbed the wound with his left hand, taking his hand off to see how much blood was seeping out.
He sighed, satisfied that it wasn't bleeding much, as opposed to the gash in his face. It didn't seem to want to coagulate, and just ran freely. "But sometimes calculations are wrong, neh?" Kaosu noted, running forward. He swung at Aigyou's head, and then switched the blade's direction, bringing the blade diagonal across her body.

((I hate to ask which friend O_o; ?))
Hikari becomes enthralled with the battle between Aichou and Aikou. Even with her mind on that fight, her frightenning reiatsu still keeps the peasants away; she bleeds killer intent. When she sees the shikai of both Aichou and Aikou, her eyes go wide, and even more lust for blood soaks her reiatsu. Her grip on her zanpakutou, both katana and tantou, tightens to the point her knuckles pale. When a massive attack wave is launched their way, her pupils dilate. The gears of her mind are turning as she tries to figure out a plan, but she's no where near mastering anything like a barrier that could protect so many.
When leaves begin raining from the sky, the expression in Hikari's eyes soften. When a leaf brushes across her skin, she has a question apparent on her face. When the newcomer announces himself, she looks right at him. Searching through her memory, she comes up with a name to the face. With blinking eyes, she yells out his name in greeting. "Onnarashii~san~!" The sing-song tone of her voice also announces her blood lust; though not directed at him, the killer intent in her reiatsu is obvious. She's ready for the next challenge. Aikou's too much, but she might be able to handle another challenge or two...

Quote: Shunketsu: Enemy: Lv: 5 Hp: N/A Rp: 24 Dodge: 21 Total attack bonus: +14 Dodge Rolls: [both fails, no need to post] It doesn't take long after that; the man's just too slow for Shunketsu's fighting style; fast for his bulk, yes, but not fast enough. He drops down on both knees, before going facefirst into the rest of the bodies..it's too bad, he was strong.Quote: Haro: Damage to Haro: 12 Enemy: Lv: 5 Hp: 32 Rp: 24 Dodge: 21 Total attack bonus: +14 Dodge Roll: 1 gonk [1+21=epic fail] Attack Roll: 9 [9+14=23] The tall grinning man twirls the weapon in his hands, raising up for what he feels should be a finisher, only to find himself meeting the weapon of his enemy again. This blow staggers him back; you can only take so many hits before they really start to show up on you. Subsequently, his swing is weaker than before..Quote: Kaosu: Damage to Kaosu: 15 Enemy: Lv: 5 Hp: N/A Rp: 24 Dodge: 21 Total attack bonus: +14 Dodge Rolls: 16, 4 [16+21=37 / 4+21=25 (fail)] A head blow is nearly always fatal if it's deep enough; the girl parries, only to realize a little too late it's a feint as well as a blow, and she knows the wound in her chest will be fatal. She drops the small weapon, and reaches out to grab onto Kaosu's arm..and she looks up sadly at him..
"Is it wrong..to want to be counted..? It isn't fair..we'll all be forgotten after this..no one will even remember our names. I guess..my calculations were off..a little too much."
And she manages a little smile..and slips away, falling amongst the other fallen, her glasses striking the ground beside her.The scene is chaos; other students are fighting citizens who've been incited to riot by these invaders..and one of the invaders is fighting Captain Aichou..one that looks near identical to her, at that. Stronger warriors, on par with the advanced students have been fighting with them, and slowly dying, one by one. It's a classic example of rebellion incited by those who don't care about a loss of life on the part of the common people.
One student, who looks just a little stronger than the rest, carrying a fan in one hand, has put his sword away and is striking with his hands, trying to kill as few as possible. The entire feel of the battle isn't a happy one at all; it isn't just an enemy some of them are fighting. Some of these are their own..especially to those who came from the lower areas of the city.Megumi just smiles at Hikari, but doesn't get to wave considering he's busy being a flurry of hands in a cloud of commoners. He's troubled, and it's clear on his face. This isn't a noble war at all. He despises that the people could be tricked so easily, but it is his noble duty to protect them..but also to defend his noble city. He's torn about what to do, so he's using his fighting style that does not kill. He isn't like Hikari..it's obvious..he's too caring to fight like she does, even if he is more solemn seeming than before.
If there are more strong units in the horde, they haven't shown their faces yet. This was a diversion force, and other units may come up from the back, but for now there aren't many in the way of incoming that would be worth Hikari's time, at least most likely in her eyes.Aichou and Aikou's battle was heating up, but neither was giving any ground. Aichou had caught up to her brother and was attacking full force, forcing him to counter and go on the offensive; but it didn't really seem to matter. They were too evenly matched like this to kill one another decisively. Every swing of his curving weapon would be met by her chains, only for her large sword to come down or beside, forcing a retreat or a jump. She had too many avenues of attack compared to his, but he was too adept to let them in. They stood apart from each other..facing off..they both knew what was coming..despite the fact she didn't want it to be that way..and he hated having to be inconvenienced.

(He's up on a roof so I'd assume he's a student. The enemy hasn't gotten too far beyond the gate; they're being repelled about 30-50 feet in.)

Dorian sighed lightly and gripped his fingers tighter in the knuckle hilt of his zanpaktou, looking down at the group of fighters momentarily he picked out one from the mass and leapt down from his perch unsheathing his blade holding it out from his body. As he drew near to the ground below, he gripped onto the extended hilt of his blade and swung across horizontally at the person he'd leapt down to meet in combat.

(@ Hikari, I'm referring to Tsai)
Kaosu's face drew incredibly grim as the girl slid to the ground, lifeless. He stood there a moment, and then knelt next to the body. Fixing her body so that she lay proper, he grabbed her weapon and the pair of glasses, placing the weapon in between her still-warm hands.
Carefully he placed the glasses onto her lifeless face and leaned in closer, whispering. "I will never forget your name, Aigyou." He stood up, deciding that she was honored well enough for the moment, and walked once more into the crowd of restless Rukongai members.
His face didn't show it anymore, but he was angry. Furious would be an even better way to describe it. He pushed his reiatsu outwards in an attempt for the surrounding people to know how truly pissed he was. The blood of the girl still dripping off his blade, he pressed into the crowd once more, not even bothered anymore by his eye; just a vague blackness on the side of his face. It wasn't a problem.
He didn't care how many people he had to cut through. He would find one of the bastards that did it and kill him.
One of the heartless charlatans that brought Aigyou to fight, that stirred the members of Rukongai, just one. He felt Hikari's presence, finally, now that he was no longer busy in his own affairs. He kept swinging his blade, clearing a small path by those who didn't already leave his aura well alone.
He came up against Hikari, and noticed a change in weaponry. Shikai. He cursed himself, that such a young girl had achieved it before him. Not that he was mad, but he was a little disappointed in himself.
Above the raucous noise he shouted. "Hey, Hikari! Handling yourself well I see!" He knocked the butt of his sword into a man's face, knocking him to the floor. "And I must congratulate you on unlocking that!" He kicked the leg of another, sending him sprawling. Dodging the strike of a steak knife, he sliced into someone's forearm.
"What do you say to cutting through a few people, neh?" He wanted to talk to someone, anyone, than be left with his own thoughts.

Before Hikari lay only one poor soul. Her reiatsu so thick, filled with the lust for blood, a killer intent no child should possess. Though such a pressure should be maddening, she still manages a casual smile as Koasu speaks to her. "Neh! Ninniku-san!" When he congradulates her on shikai, she looks at her zanpakutou. Munashii is an interesting blade. No. They are interesting blades. The katana and tantou each possess an individual spirit. Still. These people. She had no interest in fighting or killing them. She bows her head to Koasu. She could certainly slice, like a hot knife through butter, through this crowd. "Munashii have no interest..." ...she speaks as if speaking of multiple... "...in slaying the weak, those who cannot even fight back."
"What are you saying?! Neh?! Little Princess! We should cut! Kill! We should render all these traitors the deaths they so rightly deserve." Hikari sighs as she hears Sumizome. The vision in her left eye blurs, if only for a moment. The red ring expands slightly; though, it would still take somebody with high reiatsu sense to see it. "I can push them back with my reiatsu... Ninniku-san... There are some that could have been allies." She turns her gaze towards Aichou and Aikou. Towards the latter, a furious expression takes hold. Her reiatsu bursts forth with a frightening ferocity, clearly red bolts of reiatsu streaking across her reiatsu 'flare' (of sorts). "If I even had a chance at hitting Ai-chan's brother, I'd try Munashii's first technique..."

Kaosu didn't have to turn around to feel a change in the girl's reiatsu. "I didn't mean kill them, dear Hikari." Kaosu said, kicking one to the floor. "I simply meant pushing a path through them. But...if you want to clear them through reiatsu..."
He smiled, pushing his reiatsu out a little harder. He looked up, watching his own field connecting with Hikari's, crackling with the energy of both, noticing hers stronger. Once more he cursed himself, spitting on the ground.
"And if you're so intent on fighting Aichou's big bro, why not settle for his lackeys?"

There was a slight breeze as Tsai arrived, he pushed his glasses up. Infront of him was what Tsai had imagined of war. He examined the field for a few seconds before he began moving forward again sprinting towards the center of the battle. His zampakuto was hanging from his sash as he continued to approach the line of shinigami. Even so early in the battle there were many dead bodies on the floor, those of the peasants of Soul Society. Tsai had also sighted many familiar faces: Kaosu, Shunketsu, Haro and even Megumi who he had not seen for quite some time. "Everyone's here, I guess the attack that we had all predicted has finally arrived," Tsai closed his eyes for a few seconds letting the wind blow into his face as he jumped infront of the third division and right into the battle. Infront of him, he could see and sense two powerful entities fighting, Aichou and an unknown person who looked like Aichou.

He bashed another young fellow in the face before he felt a tickle in his mind. A familiar feeling. He turned, and smiled. Through one eye he saw the hair of his best friend, Tsai Lin.
He laughed, pushing his reiatsu out, creating a bubble of people who avoid him. He ran up to his friend and smiled, knocking another member of the Rukongai down.
"Long time no see, Tsai!" He exclaimed, his one-eyed smile purely jovial. "Where the hell have you been lately?" He asked, knocking aside a butcher's cleaver. "Haven't seen you for weeks!"

Kaen let out a shout as swung down, his blade ripping the poor mans chest to shreds, skinning a slash across his chest several times over. The man fell backwards screaming, his ribcabe clealy visible, and at some points even torn up and thinned, on the verge of breaking. Kaen knew this wound would not be healable, which was a shame because he had only wanted to send the man back home dispirited in the cause. But now, he could possibly be orphaning a child, or widowing a women somewhere. But the battlefeild was no place for such thoughts, se he brought the mass of tiny blades that was his zanpakto down onto the man's head, shattering his skull and causing an instant death.
He then turned to a pair that had started to advance on him. It appeared that even though he arrived late, he would still be able to take full part in this battle. "Higashikuni Kaen, at your service! If you value your lives, abandon hope and run from here! If not, I'll be happy to take them from you!" He had said it in a roaring tone, in order to give the illusion that he was enjoying this. He personally did not care for bloodshed, however he was not afraid of it, and would slay these two if they didn't have the common sense to leave, and would not feel even the slightest hint of regret. After all, they would have chosen death.

Quote: Dorian: Enemy: Lv 1 Lv: 1 Hp: 22 Rp: 10 Dodge: 17 Total Attack bonus: 5 Dodge Roll: 2 [2+17= 19 (fail)] Attack Roll: 16 [16+5=21] A normal looking man from the city is who faces Dorian. He's young seeming, physically about in his mid twenties. He's got a staff, and he doesn't look like much of anything, but he's determined to fight..even if the others are finally breaking and running away. He swings with his simple weapon..The enemy is falling quickly. The diversionary force isn't enough to stand up, and it seems as though they're falling back; the battles are taking less time, and those who haven't died or been knocked stupid are leaving and fast, past their leader and away into the city.
Kaen would find that the enemies are running; to kill them he'd have to follow now, as they're on the retreat.Aikou looks agitated. He turns his head towards the north gate, and almost loses an ear to Aichou's chains while not paying attention. He spins around and grips his blades tightly..
"That boy turned against us..He was supposed to open a portal to Hell at the north gate..what's with opening a gate to the world of hollows..? I knew it was a mistake, taking him in. Deception breeds deception. It's no use. I'll have to kill this entire group of children and weak officers myself.."
He sighs, flustered, and holds his two swords out..one to each side..before dropping them..
"Ban..kai."
The explosion happens..wood splinters of all things, fly everywhere..and a spiral of energy rises up from Aikou, creating a field of smoke as the pressure he exudes becomes more dense, more heavy. When the smoke clears, what stands before him..at about twenty or twenty five feet high or so, is a great marionette. It is clothed in the same garb as he is, and floats slightly off the ground. Its unblinking eyes stare ahead..and he murmers.
"Eieiodoriko aigou dokujahina kakeru reikon."
And that said, he lifts his hand, which moves the arm of his marionette..four slots on the left arm open up, and he sends a thousand similar wooden arms flying from it against Aichou..all of them striking down, covering her. The blow caves in a large section of street, leaving some to wonder if someone could even live under that blow. Aikou sighs and tips his head..
"Not dead already are you? That would be boring.."

Kaosu smiled, watching the citizens retreat. At least now he wouldn't have to beat into any more of them. Then he looked up at the battle between Aichou and the other man, Aikou if he remembered correctly. He didn't hear what the man said, but about two seconds later he saw the blast of energy ripping outwards.
Kaosu held up his hands, and was pushed backwards quite a ways. The air was heavy with reiatsu, and Kaosu shakily dropped down to his knees. "Damn..." He spat, finding standing almost impossible. "That guy...he's insane!"
He felt his sweat seeping into the wound on his face, and he tried wiping the sweat away. The stinging quickly spread all the way down the cut, and he seethed with pain through gritted teeth.
Don't die, Aichou...though it's not looking so great.

Kaen grinned as the two had had started to advance on him turned and fled with the rest of the crowd. He swung his heavy sword down to his right, stopping it when it was parallel with his leg, the sudden stop causing the blood from the blade to splatter across the ground behind him. Then, suddenly he feels something odd, and see's a cloud of smoke rushing from where, what he had assumed was a captain, was fighting one on one with what he assumed was the enemy commander. Thining quickly, he used all his strength to shove his sword into the ground, managing to bury about six inches of it into the ground. As the explosion hit him, he grasped ontot he sword, which remained in place due to the blades that only worked one way, if the slash started at the bottom of the blade. When it clears, he finds he has to rely on his sword to support him now, as the air is so thick with reiatsu. He had the feeling that if he wanted to survive, this was not the best place to be...
