And it wouldn't take Tsuzuki very long to be amazed, she was sure. She asked him, warily yet filled with exitement, "What's behind the door?"

Even though she knew he'd show her soon, she didn't see the harm in asking.

"Allright." Dav said, pushing his glasses up a bit. "I assume you know your basic history of the four nations. They have been on and off at war throughout history. However, there was a time, before you and I were even thoughts in our parents minds, that there was peace."

"During the days after the great Avatar Ang defeated the Fire Lord Ozai, a shrine was built in each capital, to celebrate the symbolism and harmony between the nations."

"Some nations remembered these shrines and kept them open I assume. Others, like Ba Sing Se, hid them away, so that only the "worthy" people would be able to access the shrines."

Dav stood next to Tsuzuki and uncorked his water satchel.

"It takes atleast two trained benders to open this door...Shall we?" Dav asked as he prepared to bend.

Tsuzuki nodded, awe and a fierce determination in her eyes as she answered, "Let's."

She sent a powerful jet of fire towards the door, unsure of what would happen, and waited for Dav to do the same with his water bending.

Dav sent his water racing around Tsuzuki's stream of fire. The two opposing elements were drawn toward their respective seals.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light and the door gave off a fierce green glow before opening, revealing a long torchlit hall way, with a slight downward incline.

"Ladies first." dav said checking to make sure the coast was clear.

Baolin followed hesitantly, glancing at the waterbender out of the corner of his eye. This was certainly not what he'd bargained for.

"What's at the end of this tunnel?" he asked.

"What's at the end of this tunnel?" he asked.

Dav looked at him with a bit of a condescending stare.

"At the end of this tunnel is a hidden shrine. Trust me, this is to die for!" He said, waiting for Tsuzuki to go in.

Tsuzuki smiled and walked inside, unafraid of what could be at the end. As she gazed down the pathway, she said, "Don't worry, Baolin. I'm sure everything'll be alright."

She then began to walk down the pathway, wondering how long it was. From the darkness before her, she could tell that it wasn't all that close. Either that or there was a pretty heavy door blocking their way inside of the shrine.

As Dav, Baolin, and Tsuzuki walked through the tunnel in silence, they could all feel the damp air around them. The eerie silence was so different than the hustling and bustling of the town above them.

"We're here." Dav said after about 20 minutes of walking. "We're about 1/2 a mile below the throne room in the palace..." Dav said as he searched along the wall again. There was a quiet *Click* and a hidden door opened before them.

Within this room was a world of wonder. An elegant, yet sparsely furnished room, bedecked in green and gold and black. Elaborate murals were painted on the walls, depicting great battles and people of long past.

But all of that paled in comparison to the fountain.

In the center of this room, was a fountain of steel and stone, wrought in the shape of a firebender, a waterbender, an airbender, and an earth bender. In each of the statues hands was a glorious form of their element. A perfect orb, swirling with the different colors of their people.

Above these 6 foot tall monoliths, was a pillar holding a gigantic sphere of pure pearl and obsidian, designed in some twisted ying-yang. As Tsukaza and Dav stepped closer, the sphere pulsed and steam began to pour from the sphere, cascading down to the basin of the fountain.

"The sphere reflects the union of the people that opened the doorway. In our case, fire and water create steam." Dav explained while looking at the beautiful orb.

"Better than the last time I came here." Dav said grinning. "Last time I came with an earthbender...the mud that came out of that thing is nowhere near as...attractive as this sight."

Tsuzuki's mouth opened in awe. She grinned as Dav told her about the mud and answered with a laugh, "I bet."

She looked at the blank faces of the people of the fountain and smiled in content. She thought to herself, 'These people look somewhat familiar. They must be a great part of history or something.'

She then looked at the neglected walls and at the battles. She noticed familiar figures painted there. First, she noticed Avatar Aang. His clothes were what set him apart from everything else. Next to him where Sakka and Katara. Two figures that she had been told stories about from her father when she was younger.

As she moved along the wall, she found the painting of Zuko. She reached out and touched him. He'd been through much from what she'd heard but he always ended up good. That comforted her on the inside. She then went back to the fountain and felt the steam, "It's nice here."

"It is." Dav commented as his heart sank a little. "Being here is nice...It's the only place here that reminds me of home..." Dav tore his eyes away from the fountain and wnet to the mural.

"This is a mural of the final battle between the Avatar and the Fire Lord." Dav explained. "And I see youve noticed Zuko there...It's kinda thanks to him that this place exists."

Tsuzuki nodded. She knew that even though Zuko had been filled with conflicting emotions, he had done much good for the peace of the world. She smiled and said, "I kinda wish that I could've lived during this time. My dad always told me that I always saw the good in people so maybe I could've helped Zuko a little," she laughed, "As if he'd accept it openly."

She walked away and shrugged, "Oh well, what's done is done. And, since the reincarnation cycle of all souls in this world is still good as far as I know, maybe I used to be someone that knew him."

Dav laughed a little. "Maybe so, I-" Dav was about to finish his comment when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye.

Slowly, Dav turned around and saw the orb on top of the statue glow again. Soon after the steam that had been flowing down turned black smoke.

"Smoke?...What could make it..." Dav thought before it hit him

"Tsukaza...Baolin...Hide, NOW! An earthbender is coming" Dav whispered as he turned toward the enterance.

Tsuzuki immediately hid behind the fountain: the first place that she could think of. She then whispered harshly to Dav, "We're not supposed to be here?"

"Ehehe.."Dav sais sheepishly as he slid in behind her.

"This place is sacred to the Earth King" Dav said quietly. "It's meant to be kept empty except by those who 'Deserve to be here'." Dav saw the blank look on Tsukaza's face and quickly said.

"It's meant to be empty, it's forbidden for an Earthbender to enter without express permission. So if one is here, they arent up to any good!"

Just as Dav said that, the trio heard footsteps approaching.

"Fight or flee, our one way out is that door...any ideas?"

Tsuzuki looked around, trying to figure a way out. Should couldn't firebend in here and destroy the paintings or the statue. If she could make a hole somewhere that wouldn't be too harmful to the surrounding area. . . "I got it!" She whispered triumphantly to the others.

She stepped up on the edge of the fountain and looked for the lowest point in the ceiling. It was over in one of the two corners without paintings. It was only about five feet off of the ground- easily accessable for each of them. She quickly ran over there and sat on her knees and cupped her hands together. Inside of them, she created a small fireball and pumped more and more fire into it until it had just the right amount. She put it up against the cieling above her and a small, muffled explosion blew apart a hole in the cieling.

From behind the fountain, it wasn't noticable so, as long as the earth bender that had come inside stayed on the other side of the room, they wouldn't have a problem. But Tsuzuki wasn't ready to take that chance. "Follow me," she whispered as she climbed up into the hole and continued to make fireball after fireball, making her way upwards.
