Sin almost laughed out loud. She had never thought that the small gryphon would be so happy to get out of the bag that Jizzy had been carrying him in. It amused her greatly to watch Tobais as he inspected the clearning for more interesting things than the inside of a bag.

Reaching into her own bag, Sin pulled out the tin-foil wrapped sandwhiches and offered one marked 'c' to Chao, keeping an 'R' for herself. She turned back to Jizzy, and reached back into the food bag, intending to at least offer Jizzy some lemonaide, when her hand struck the side of Gael's Jar. She pulled the jar out of the bag and stared at it. There was... sommat wrong with it.

"Uh, guys?" Sin held up the jar, her voice shaking a bit, "Is this normal?"

Sanar clicked in return and arced her neck into the touch, enjoying its feel. As her dark eyes caught sight of the glowing jar she halted and ruffled her wings, peering intently at it.

Chao took her sandwich greatfully, sparing Jizzy a slightly concerned glance before beginning to unwrap the plastic wrap that encased her food. At Sin's shakingly asked question she looked up and had to bite back an overly dramatic response that most likely would have distraught Sin.

Instead she merely smiled and nodded warmly, "it's normal, don't worry."

Tobias slid off her back as they halted in the clearing, giving her another affectionate stroke to her leg before spotting the glowing jar and scuttling over to it.

"Yah, that's normal. My jar did it just before Tobias showed up."

Jizzy said, returning a knowing glance to Chao. She didn't need to eat, not really, and she thought it best to preserve the food they had. The storm clouds above seemed very unfriendly.

Concerned, Sin shook the jar slightly. Was Gael going to grow soon? What an... interesting concept. She would have to puzzle over it a little later, she mused as a raindrop hit her nose. Sin blinked and looked up to see black thunder-heads rolling in all around them. Sin assumed that the rain wouldn't hit until they got to the cave, but knowing her luck - It would hit just before.

She tucked the now-glowing-but-perfectly-normal-thank-you-very-much Gael into the food bag and sighed deeply. Now all that she had to do was remember where exactly along the wall the cave was so they could get out of the now steadily dropping rain.

"We should go." Sin said, standing up briskly and looking up and down the rock face. Which way was it? From the direction they came, it would be north east from here. Sin glanced at her watch. That was up to her left. Might as well chance it, she thought, plundging into the undergrowth, hurrying to get out of the rain.

Sanar clicked affectionately as Tobais hoppped off her back before giving herself a small shake to disperse the feeling of weight on her back. As the first few drops of rain fell she looked up, tail waving a bit as the water fell from the sky.

Taking one bite from her chicken salad sandwich Chao rewrapped it and shoved in into her own satchel as Sin got up, "right then." Food would now be later it seemed. With a small roll of her shoulders she stood and followed quickly, calling out to Sanar as she went so that the gryphon fell into step with her.

Tobias was about to wander aroudn when a drop fell on his ebak. He humped and flailed around, searching for his attacker. Another drop fell, then another. He was being bombarded! He began to to snap at the approaching raindrops, as if hoping to make them go away.

Jizzy stood at the first sign of rain. She knew it. SHe just hoped they could make it back now. She rushed over and scooped the frantic Tobias back into her bag, where he seemed quite content to be now.

"There, so you stay, rather dry.." SHe murmered and set off behind teh others.

The rain began to pour down through the deep foliage of the forest as Sin pushed her way through the now dampening undergrowth. The temperature was falling, and she could hear the distant rumble of thunder in the distance. All around here was the sound of birds singing and the shapping and cracking of Jizzy and Chao making their way after her.

Sin took several steps past the cave before she realized that she'd past it. It was quite well hidden, and so Sin began to wonder if it might have just been fate that had drawn her to the cave in the first place, because what else would have caused her to push past the over hanging vines and though a rasberry bush to get inside it?

"Guys!" She called, stepping into the cave and then popping her head back out. "Here it is! Quick, before it begins to rain harder."

For a time Sanar merely ran besides Chao but as it began to rain harder the Guardian quick scooped up a protesting Gryphon into her arms. Sanar could walk quite well, even in the wetness and green, thank you very much!

Ignoring her clicking charge Chao followed quickly after Sin, watching her companion double back a bit then suddenly the cave was in sight and she dove inside, despositing Sanar next to her.

"Ugh..." she grumbled and gave her head a shake, sending water droplets everywhere. Besides her Sanar did the same, except the shake involved her entire body.

Once vaguely dry the Gryphon quickly began to investigate this new texture beneather her hoves, nudging it with her head and pecking at it gently with her beak.

Jizzy spotted her companions duck into a small crevice in the rock wall and followed suit. SHe dropped ehr bag, allowing a humid Tobias to tuble out. She gave a small shake, to get the water off from her hair and removed her shades, wiping them absentmidedly on her shirt.

"So this is the cave?"

She asked, replacing her sunglasses onto her face, despite the darkened surroundings.

Tobias tumbled from the bag, relatively dry. He had kept his mother's notebook dry, though he didn't know it yet. Witha small hoop he strode over to Sanar and began examining the palce with ehr. He'd never been in a place like this before.. unless you counted a closet.. Yes, this much be like mother's closet.

Sin smiled and turned to shine the flashlight that she had fished out of her backpack around the cave. "This is the cave of doom and explosion." Sin set down her bags and sat down on the floor, taking Gael-the-jar out of the food bag, where Sin had put her for safe-keeping. The soft glow that Gael's feather and fluff were emitting was enough to make the cave glow brightly in a strange and somewhat creepy light.

Reminded of some far off book, Sin set Gael in front of her, entraced by the slowly pulsating light. She stared at the light, watching as it began to pulse faster and faster, it's light distracting Sin from the water dripping from her nose and down her shirt.

She turned with the intent of shining the light into the back of the cavern and was surprised to hear the sound of breaking glass. Sin's head snapped back around, and she found herself staring at the place where Gael's jar had been.

Sanar clicked to Tobais companionable as she took a tiny bit of rock in her beak, tasting it before spitting it out again. She'd never been in a place like this before. Suddenly a bright light illuminated the cave as the jar was brought out and she shifted her attention to it, dark eyes widening as the glass suddenly shattered. Letting out an excited click she quickly moved forward.

Chao couldn't help but snicker, "cave of doom." Hopefully it wouldn't be their doom. Wringing out some of her hair she looked around, watching as some of the rocks reflected the glow of Gael's jar. The ping of glass shattered brought her attention back and she looked to where the shards of Gael's jars lay.

"Ahhh..." she murmured and grinned as the realization that this meant Gael would be arriving soon struck her.

Tobias nudged the rock she spit out before the light came to his attention. He turned to it and waddled over, attracted to it like a moth to a flame. What was this bright thing doing in a closet?

Jizzy's eyes sparked behind ehr shades as she saw the jar crack.

"Gael must be anxious to join us.."

She said, smiling broadly. Good thing she had brough extra glow necklaces, in case one broke.

In the darkness of the surrounding cave, this little ball of energy glowed brightly. It swayed out, across the room, towards the entrance suddenly backing up as a fat raindrop splashed into it.

As it tumbled back into the cave, it began to form a shape, something more solid. Paws, legs, a brightly coloured face. Gael stumbled a little on shaky, gangly legs.

Sin stared at the glowing orb, facinated as it solifided. Before her eyes, her gryphon was, forming? She thought that that was the right word for it.

Then, quite suddenly, the orb stopped glowing altogether as a small gryphon was deposited onto the ground, landing on unsteady legs.

"Gael..." Sin breathed, reaching out to brush some of the feathers with a trembling hand.

She opened her eyes. The room that they were in was dim to her vision. There was something touching her fir, ruffling it affectionately, or so she judged. She turned her head to face the hand, her beak shooting out to inspect the offending hand - or at least, she thought that was what it was.

"OW!"

Chao's face split into a warm grin as the new Aerandir materialized, "she's goregous Sin!" she exclaimed with a clap of her hands. "Congratulations."

Sanar clicked in excitement as the orb floated down, keen eyes tracking it as a body materialized. A new gryph! With a curious click at the new form the gryphon moved forward cautiously to greet the new being.
