My critique on prior people's music can be found at the previous page.

Before you listen to the song you have to read this.

Briefing on Philippine Politics:There was a 4 way conflict within the Philippines between “The Alliance of Elitists”{Mestizoz of European (Been enslaving the locals through low wages) Chinese (Mostly Capitalist Chinese who escaped communist controlled China], American[Protecting their national interests against the soviets] Spanish-Latino[Been there since time immemorial] lineage (I like Indians cause they were neutral mrgreen } against the Communists, the Catholics against the Muslims and all of these factions has been at each others throats since the time of Ferdinand Marcos (the corrupt b*****d who decimated the once promising Pearl of The Orient and turned it into a poverty stricken and divided society)

The only thing which helped float the economy during that time was the Filipino overseas workers who sent back huge amounts of foreign reserves
(and bi-racial children)

"In the end the diverse groups joined together and toppled down the dictator Yey!"

But this song was made 10 years ago and this is just a revival.

It was like Peru’s Shining Path Situation but without the fanatical Muslims, the Liberation Theology, overseas workforce and shameless foreign president Fujimuori (To think he'll run for parliament this year!!).

Now, most of the factions seemingly live in peace and harmony…

The only problem is integrating the Muslims, the hidden racism, “Taking care” of the corrupt officials who profited from the former conflict (now enjoying their villas and mansions in europe), the wide spread poverty, murder, illegal drugs and environmental degradation made by Foreign Companies who just bribe the new set of corrupt officials.

Even still, this place is a beautifully mixed-up destination full of beautifully mixed-up people with one the most diverse cultural, ethnic and aquatic heritage.

Proof: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippines

This is so funny: The Greatest Sin of the Roman Catholic Chruch rofl http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaime_Cardinal_Sin

There is are still problems but if you live in Luzon you can't feel these though because its were the Capitalists made much investment but if you go further south of the archipelago you can certainly feel it.

Enjoy.

Before watching I suggest you read the paragraph I wrote above.

Tatsulok
(Pyramid)
By Bamboo

Totoy bilisan mo, bilisan mo ang takbo
(Son, hurry, hurry your running)
Ilagang ang mga bomba naka tutok sa ulo mo
(Put aside the bombs exploding in your head)
Totoy, tumalun ka dumapa kung kailangan
(Son, jump down and crawl if necessary)
At baka tamaan pa nang mga balang ligaw
(maybe you might be hit by stray bullets)

Totoy makinig ka huwag kang mag pa-gabi
(Son listen, don’t go out after dark)
Baka malalankat humandusay dyan sa tab-i
(Maybe you might find your body by the roadside)
Totoy alam mo ba kung ano ang punot dulo
(Son, do you know the beginning and end)
Nang di matapos tapos na kaguluhan nito
(of this never-ending chaos?)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Refrain:

Hindi pula at ilaw tunay na mag kalaban
(The reds and whites are not the real enemy){sidenote: red symbolizes the communists white the capitalists)
Ang kulay at tatak ang di siyang dahilan
(Your color and label is not the issue)
Hanggat marami ang lugmok sa kahirapan
(As long as there are multitudes in poverty)
At ang justisya ay para lang sa mayaman
(And justice is only for the rich)

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Chorus:

Habang may tatsulok, at sila ang nasa tuktok.
(As long as there is a pyramid and they are on top) [sidenote: The Corrupt Elites]
Di matatapos ang itong gulo
(This conflict will not end)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Di maligtas ang huminga
(You cannot save the fallen)
Kay raming mga tao
(So many people)
At ang dating munting bukid ngayoy semeteryo
(And the once pristine mountains are now a cemetery) [Sidenote: Military conflict in here]
Totoy kumilos ka baliktarin ang tatsulok
(Son, do something “Reverse” this pyramid)
Tulad nang dukha inilagay mo sa tuktok
(The majority should be on top)

----------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------
Chorus:

Habang may tatsulok, at sila ang nasa tuktok.
(As long as there is a pyramid and they are on top)
Di matatapos ang itong gulo
(This conflict will not end)
------------------------------------------------------------

Repeat Refrain and Chorus

I barely listen to music in English anymore. Music in another language is a thing of beauty. I'm too familiar with English and people singing in English doesn't have the same effect on me.

I listen to many German bands, Tilo Wolff (Lacrimosa) is my favorite singer.
Okean Elzy being my favorite band (Ukrainian singing).
And Verka Serduchka, mostly sings in Russian, but there is some Ukrainian mixed in (so a Ukrainian has told me, I can't tell in the middle of a song). Just don't judge Serduchka by the Eurovision entry. He's done so much better stuff.
There's a little Spanish I listen to, just the odd soung I've come across, I don't know any bands. Even French, there's some FR music I really like (and some of you know that I have a strong dislike of the language).

I'm looking for some bands/songs that are in Irish. Preferably lively sounding music. Any suggestions?

I just couldn't find it in me to ditch songs based on whether or not they're in English. It's the music that's important, not the language it's sung in... it's not even the meaning of the lyrics that's important, I think.

I think the samething. As long as the music is good, then I listen to it. That is what I tell people when they find it funny that I listen to music in so many languages. I also will listen to just about any genre of music too. Like I said, If it is good music, then it is my kind of music. ^^

So, literally like 15 minutes ago, I was on Youtube and I found this really awesome german band Lafee and it was insta-love. Kind of reminds me of Evanescence. So now a fire has been lit under my butt (again) to continue learning german. heart

I'd like to hear how French rap sounds.... xd

For the most part, I listen to music in English in several genres (Rap/HipHop, R&B, Pop, Alternative, Rock, Electronica/Dance, Country), but my parents own a lot of Salsa, Pop, Merengue, and Rock in Spanish, which they tend to put on during New Year's and Christmas Eve. 3nodding

Try NTM , especially 'Ma Benz' , or 'Assassin de la Police'.
I just luff those songs <33
[ P.S : I can send some french rap to you, if you want ]
Or Manau. It's celtic rap. Or I AM
Or Abd Al Malik heart heart . He's just AWESOME. He reconciled me with rap. But it's more slam than rap.

At the moment, I'm just in love with ... sort of electro acid jazz/tango
[ Hotel Costes, Gotan Project, Saint Germain, Roudoudou , Buddha Bar,...]
and Jean Gabin [ 30's or 40's songs <33 It's just awesome xD ]

That would be very nice of you. 3nodding Thanx for the input! heart (BTW, that account, N 1 K 3, used to be mine until it got hacked... just to clear up any confusion.) sweatdrop

I mostly listen to music in Japanese, a language I don't understand. I love the Japanese language, though I hate most songs I've heard that are half Japanese and half English. I rarely listen to music in English anymore, nothing catches my attention. I sometimes listen to German, French, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, and what I think is Swedish music. I know English, Cantonese, and a little Mandarin.

Lyrics are a huge part of music for me, so I tend to listen to songs I can understand or can more or less translate. Nonetheless, my iTunes has songs in Hebrew, English, French, Spanish, German, Greek, Arabic and Irish. I also love combining different languages in one song (see: TeaPacks' Push The Button and The Beatles' Michelle)

Yeah music in other languages is a cool notion but not my main interest in music, the actual MUSIC is what pleases me. I mean who cares what language it's sung in or whether or not they're singing about prostitutes and drugs? if the music is good, the lyrics don't even matter. Kind of like Metallica Even if they never sang, their music would still more than make up for the fact that there'd be no lyrics.
