Rin shrugged, shaking her head. "No reason." For a moment she didn't move, and then slowly turned so she was facing him.
"I hadn't done anything wrong," she said, pointing to her necklace. "I was a kid playing dress up and chose the wrong thing." She frowned to herself, and then turned around.
There was another small hesitation on her part, as she again looked at the holes in the base of the tunnel, showing the water underneath it. Taking a silent, deep breath, she slowly started forward, one foot nervously touching the bridge, her other soon following. She started through at an almost casual pace, maybe a little faster. But at least she wasn't sprinting like last time.

"Oh, alright," Long said following Rin. She then gave a pause and stop telling him to stop his pace as well.
"Hm...True, but that puts us on the same boat then," Long said reaching his arm out to pat Rin's back, but she suddenly stopped halfway as his he just remembered why he shouldn't make any bodily contact with anyone. He looked alittle stupid havinghis arm halfway out, he kinda just stood there like a statue thinking and having an image in his head of what possibly happened.
Apparently, he was frozen...Not to mention having no end to his thinking as the things around him began to slow down in his eyes. This came as a surprise. The work of his dragon eyes were beginning to kick in and mature. But Long was too subconscious to even give a moment's notice.

Rin nodded slightly, glancing over her shoulder at him. It looked like he was reaching out and then... stopped. She wasn't sure why, and gave him a confused look, before continuing on her way. He was odd. She'd gathered this much already, so she just dismissed it, along with the way he seemed to be staring and frozen.
She was careful to avoid the holes in the bottom of the stone tunnel, less she get her foot stuck and wet in the water below. She'd step around them, more widely than needed, as if thinking if she stepped to close, it'd crack and suck her down.
But she finally paused, turning around and looking back to the entrance of the tunnel. He was still standing there. "...are you coming?" she asked uncertainly. She took a few steps towards him, then stopped again, feeling anxious since she was still in the tunnel, a good few feet in.

Long stood there paused for a while unable to move himself until Rin gave sound.
"Huh?" Long said shaking out of his frozen stature. He was in fact in another world. But Rin's voice had brought him back to the present, in which she shook his head from side to side.
"Yes, I'm coming..." Long said as he broke out of his standing there and took a step forward. He again, was not paying attention to where he stood and tripped over a hole in the tunnel and fell forward. His body collided with the floor as cracks from which his foot that tripped began to form a ragged outline of his body as the cracks began spreading around the cave floor. They began branching over where the floor met the wall in an angle.
Long lifted his face in time to see that the cracks spread about. He figured that this would have happened. He looked over at Rin, and simply as he slowly got up and began to pace himself to Rin in a running manner. In a matter of seconds, he took by her wirst with ihs hand and slung her over his back piggy-back style, and began running towards the end.
"Sorry, that was totally all my fault..." Long apologizing aloud as he sped. He was only several meters away from the end of the cave. He only looked over his shoulders to see the beginning of the tunnel begin to crumble and spread about due to the magnetism.

Rin watched for a moment, then started to turn around and continue through. However, she heard a thud and turned again to see him hit the floor. She froze, eyes widening as she watched the cracks spreading. She tensed, freezing, but not thinking to move.
Long just stood up, and then she was suddenly tugged upon his back, as he attempted a hasty escape from the crumbling tunnel. Not having to focus on running herself, she stared blankly over her shoulder for a few seconds, and then to Long.
"You broke it," she said dumbly, and then blinked a few times before a frown came to her face. How would they get back across now? She wasn't particularly fond of water. The spirit had made most memories... unpleasant. Though, she did like the beach. Her only memory of that was from before she'd found the necklace.
She sighed almost silently, closing her eyes. She kept picturing him falling again, this time bringing her down too, since he was carrying her. But she pushed the image from her mind, and said quietly, "It's alright." She hadn't seen the boy who'd brought her here in quite a while. Maybe he'd gone and wouldn't notice..

Long managed to dash just out of the tunnel to see the sunlight, he light turned around to see the tunnel began spreading about like debris. He gave a sigh of relief as he he knew for now that they were fine. He was more concerned with if his grip harmed Rin in any way.
He did in fact take her by the wrist and swung her over his back. He did in fact see that how Rin might have had her arms around his neck, he did see a bruise of how his hand mark was there. He frowned and lowered his head, "I didn't mean to do that to your wrist...but we had to get out..." Long said as he let her down. Long was very ashamed of himself, in the spur of the moment he forgot all about his temporarily uncontrolled strength.
Long came silent, he didn't say a word, his expression could not even be read correctly without having to ask him, but that also meant trying to get past his currently unfathomable icy exterior.

Shinku walked into the temple and found Hitomi's room immediately. His black coat was still draped over his shoulders and his torso was bare beneath it, covered in bandages for the broken ribs he had sustained during the face off. His blue jeans had a few blood spatters on them from his enemies, but other than that, he was perfectly fine, a triumphant grin on his lips. "Hitomi? You awake?" He asked softly as he walked in.

Rin watched the last of the tunnel give, and frowned slightly, though her eyes were still a bit wide as well. After a moment, she blinked and looked back at Long as he set her down. She smoothed her shirt lightly in place, and froze as she saw the mark on her wrist. For a moment she simply stared, surprised, then poked it lightly with her finger. It... hurt. She hadn't realized until just now because she'd been worried about the bridge.
When Long spoke, she glanced at him, hesitated, and then slowly nodded her head. "It's fine," she said firmly, to show she meant it. "You meant well and.. injuries heal. It would've been worse if you hadn't helped me get out." Yes, a tunnel caving on her was a lot worse than a bruised wrist. She wasn't sure how he'd managed it without meaning to though. But either way, a bruise was nothing compaired to some of the injuries she'd recieved. The scars on her hands and chest were proof of that.
Rin paused again, then slowly walked past him again, further into the temple. "Um, if we go this way then.. we'll come to the hall with my room. It's up some stairs." She looked at him uncertainly, stopping as if waiting to make sure he was still coming.

Hitomi was still out cold as Shinku walked into the temple. She did not stir at the sound of his footsteps walking down the hallway to her room. However, she let ot a soft, sigh when she heard her name uttered by Shink, and she turned over so that her back was facing Shinku. "I am now.." She sighed, strecthing where she laid. Her toes pointed, and her back arched. She grabbed her shoulders for a moment, and then put them back down. She pushed herself back up from her lying position, very dazed, but she snapped back to conciousness as she saw Shinku.
"A-ah! You're in bandages... did you break your ribs?" She aked, shoting up and walking hurridly over to Shinku. She ran her pale hand softly down his torso, and she sighed, shaking her head. "Ah.. it could've been worse..." She sighed, giving Shinku a soft kiss. It was almost amazing how she could be dead asleep one moment, and wide awake the next. She put her arms over Shinku's shoulders, and she rested her head against his neck, being carefull not to apply pressure to Shinku's chest. The next few weeks were going to be stressfull, caring for both Shinku and herself, but Hitomi could cope. "I was so afraid..." Hitomi whispered, closing her eyes once more.
"I was so scared, Shinku."

"I know Hitomi... I know- Ack!" Shinku said but was cut off by a massive amount of coughing. When it was over, blood had streamed between his fingers and over his hands. He took as deep a breath he could manage with his broken ribs and continued. "I know I must look terrible, but it isn't that bad... I'll just be hacking blood and having a little trouble breathing... Nothing big..." He said gently with a smile as he wiped a small trace of blood from his lips.

Hitomi winced as Shinku had a coughing attack, and she felt some blood drip onto her hair. She didn't fuss about it, but she didn't fuss about Shinku either. She removed her arms from his shoulders, and she pushed him gently towards the bed. She pulled him down so he was sitting on the matress, and firmly told him, "You better rest. You need it." She told him, running out of the room for a moment. She came back with a bucket of ater, and a cloth. She grabbed Shinku's bloodied hand and wiped it off quickly, putting the cloth back in the water. She sighed once more, plopping down on the bed and falling backwards.
"If you need anything, let me know, okay?" She told him softly.

"Kay..." Shinku said, snuggling up against Hitomi slightly. He let his hand travel to her stomach and stay there, resting lightly over the life that was growing inside her. "Hitomi... Have I ever told you how much you mean to me? All the times I tell you not to come anywhere near me, tell you my work is to dangerous for you to be involved... You know it's all because I never want to see you hurt right?" He asked, but before he could hear her answer, he replaced her by falling asleep.

Hitomi listened quietly, shivering slightly as she felt Shinku's hand on her rather sensitive tummy. She put her hand on his head, running her finger through Shinku's red hair. Her soft blue eyes looked into Shinku's brown one's untill he closed them, and she sighed. "Of course I knew... I've always known." She responded, whispering in his ear. Even tough he wasn't awake to hear her, she would tell him anyways. "But... I was lonely, you know. I've told you so many times now... I lost count." She continued to whisper, "You're the most important person to me... and our child will be too." She finished, scooting closer to Shinku. she curled up next to him, much like a cat would, and she closed her eyes for the third time in a day, falling asleep with Shinku.

"I know it was in the spur of the moment, but I wasn't aware of my strength....My belt was supposed to hold down my full strength until my mind could fully mature into it," Long said feeling that he should no longer hide why he had been so exceedingly destructive, and owed an explanation to Rin after all these sudden fiascos on himself.
He couldn't really compensate, but he then walked to the base of where the tunnel was, removing his belt and let it float about in the water. It would find him later anyway, so it was ok to leave it here. He got up and followed back to Rin. He followed Rin until she came to a stop, in which he turned his head like an owl, "So this is the temple? Funny, I thought I'd be penalized for destroying the bridge..." Long said as he turned to Rin to tell her to lead the way.
"Lead the way Rin," Long said as he lightly put his hands in his pockets again.

Rin stared at him for a moment, then glanced down at the belt. So it was some type of power limiter? That made sense, since after it'd beeped earlier, he'd become even more descructive than before. She would've asked if there was a way to recharge the batteries, but stopped as she saw him set the belt in the water. She just blinked, then decided not to ask. Maybe that was a way to recharge it, somehow.
Instead she just nodded. "Yes, this is it. And I don't think there's anyone around to do any punnishing." They were in a large room, with a fountain in the center. It pictured six wolves around a spear, two of which had a glowing orb in its mouth. Her head tilted back, and she stared upwards at the swirling lights around the ceiling, which were in fact spirits, hovering about. "Fountain Room," she said simply, stating the name. Then she turned and gazed down a hallway. "That's the West Wing. My room's on the upper floor."
She cast Long another glance, and then started off down the hallway, heading towards the stairs at the very end and passing four other bedrooms as she went. Near the stairs there were three holes in the wall for... Well, she wasn't sure.
