One of the euphoniams is called Sunshine because freshman year of band camp, his friends thought it would be funny move the towel while he was changing outside. I was five seconds away from seeing it. Thank the gods...

i havent really been called anything great, just the usual band geek, nerd, loser...stuff like that, but we named our teacher. instead of ms. klages, it was bit@* klages! *sigh* good times, good times...

My nickname in band was trip...on the first day of band camp where the full band came (freshman year) we had to do different stretches then run a lap around the parking lot...well i have a friend who also plays french horn that i've been knowing for a while and she's kinda small and fragile...well i must have put my foot a little bit in her way because within a second she was on the ground...she ended up scraping up her side, knee and elbow...i felt so bad....like she was laughing but still....well once the other section members got hold of this information they decided to call me trip...its not too bad i guess..i kinda like it

We have lots of nicknames in our band. Mine is feet, cuz first week of band camp I injured my feet and from then on the injuries continued.
Other nicknames are
for the boys:
Droopy, Betty and Wilma, Radar, and Cornflake aka Kellog
for the s:
Call , Legs, Gumball.
I can't remember any more. sweatdrop I'll put up more as I remember them.

I have one normal nickname which is Schizo because I play piano (and can be found every off period practicing instead of eating lunch, which isn't good for me, or so I'm told), plus I came in playing trumpet then switched to french horn and mellophone and then learned percussion so I could be in percussion ensemble then joined winterguard for kicks and giggles (oh yeah and this year I'm learning cello).
Then this year on the first day of band camp my firend John stuck his name tag on me (when I'm a girl and my name is no where near his) and so now some people are calling me John. But mostly they call me schizo^^.

My nicknames include: Cridbo, Twiddleedee, and Guard-on-crack. The first one is just one of the other guardie's odd twisting of my last name. She did that with everyone. Cridbo, Megbo, Kimbo, Caro-Schmaro, Laurbar, Bribri, Tucci, Catbo, Bilbo, Tripbo, k8e, The Leprechaun, Fidel Castro, Le Fop. She's an odd child. The second was from my instructor. My friend Meg and I were goofing off and doing silly jumps and things so he named us twidleedee and twidleedumb. Guardoncrack is from when I was on this medicine that made me really hyper and I rushed everything. bad. Like, I'd finish flagwork a good eight counts ahead of everybody elkse, talking nonstop the whole time. Twas odd.
Oh, and everyone shares the nickname Smelly. Yell, "hey! Smelly!" and half the band will look up and the other half will yell somehting about your face's mom.

t3h_haNakosamA the guard captains decided to give each girl a nickname (tho only s-dawg actually went by hers) to put on the back of the guard shirts.....like jerseys....mine was skittles and it had a large 17 on the back cuz that was my drill number......at the beginning of band camp i was refered to as "17" by the older guard girls and "hey color guard" by the older band people sweatdrop the people in my grade called me what they would usually call me......except for one who called me savannah.....i dont get it either.... one other girl in guard couldnt say my name without stumbling over the words so she's been calling me "sazashaaaaa" since august! i call her "d-d-d-d-d-d-d-DYNOMIIIITE" 'cause shes cool like that whee Is it a good thing that I was noticed for calling a sasha Savannha? o.o

Inucoli during a high school/ middle school jazz band i was in during the summer, some of the guy saxes had some funny names. one was purple taffida boy and the other was pink chiffon boy cuz i was a girl and i could play louder and jazzyer (is that a word???) than them. so they were the band pansies the rest of the time ;P girl power! I guarrantee I can play louder than you. I play bari sax, and at district band festival, a judge called us (the low brass/winds) "The Big Uglies". So, now Mrs. S calls us the big uglies. Luckily, I'm moving from Junior High to Senior High. Of course, there was the time she started talking about ritardando's. (spelling?) Then she started explaining it to the new kids, "Just watch the retard on the podium, okay?" Now, Alex always calls her the retard on the podium...

One of our directors last name is Hoffman. I don't know how this joke started, but for some reason we call her "G-Hoff Master" (or just G-Hoff, cuz her first name starts with a G). Must have started before I was in the band.
