Oh thank god! I'm SO glad to see that Chris is going away and Luke's coming back. As much as I ADORE this show, if Luke was out permanently, I'm afraid I may have stopped watching. I hate the Lorelai/Chris relationship.
One thing that DOES make me happy is that if (WHEN!) Lorelai and Chris break up this time, I'm assuming it's for good. I think that after getting married, if they end it now, I'm pretty sure there will be no more consideration of that relationship ever again. YAY!
If the death is supposedly funny, I would assume Paul Ankha. That's the only "person" I can think of who's death could even be considered funny. I mean, a dog dying sucks, but Lorelai's helpless, oh-woe-is-me act could be great. Remember when Babette had the funeral for the cat? Sad, but definitely funny.

perhaps it is the 'death' of an inanimate object, or a place. Like.... Luke's gets shut down (actually that would be sad sweatdrop )
