The Essence of Evil [x]Living Dead Girl[x] wish-for-magick Proudly Wiccan, but I'm sick of people downgrading it. I wore my pentacle proudly even back when I was in middle school where I got called into the offices and told to take it off and not wear it to school because I was "disturbing other peoples' beliefs". Bullshit! scream We are also trying to put together a wiccan club at our school and the admin. doesn't consider it a real religon so were up chocolate creek without a popsicle stick so to speak.. I wore mine all the time and never listened when I was told to take that off. My 6th grade literature teacher said "we don't wear stuff like that to school!" about my necklace and Slipknot shirt. That pisses me off! scream I've never heard of anybody who got in trouble for wearing a cross at school! And what do they mean not a real religion? Not only are they no supposed to care about religion, but WTF? Is it even a legally recognized religion?

godhi I'm not Wiccan. I'm Norse Heathen. By the way, there is a Guild called the Pagan Fluffy Rehabilitation Center. If you're turning into a fluffy Wiccan, we can help you. It's never too late! wink Heathen is really more of a term that intollerant people of Judeo-Christian religions would call you by.

elven-darkness I am a Pagan,I practice a mixture of Celtic,Norse, greek and Egyptian style magicks. I only use what I feel I can fully trust or believe. Some stuff I can't believe, but other stuff I can,so I mix together all the things I do believe and trust and make my own personalized ceremonies. Magick, you say? Do tell me more. rolleyes

Aska_Ray you know, you CAN sue the school or something if they tell you not to wear certain things. 3nodding i'm not exactly Wiccan, but i'm looking into it. it's very appealing to me... because i was raised without a basic religion. 3nodding my friend's Wiccan, though. No you can't. They're allowed to have dress codes.

sad_loved_girl I was raised Roman Catholic. Got really pissed off with that after Bush was elected and decided to look for something a little more environmentally aware. Found Wicca, was immediately enthralled. Sure I've done some experimenting with other faiths, but I always come back to Wicca. I'm a dabbler, though. I am extremely ecclectic to a point where I might as well just call myself a pantheist. I believe in all gods and goddesses, but believe the Great God and Great Goddess have power over all of them. I have an affinity for triple goddesses (Brigid is my homie) and I have a strange admiration for Loki. Being an actress, I also have a strong liking for Dionysus (Bacchus) who is the entire reason there is theatre today. Think of it this way. If gods do exist, Loki could be the same entity as, say, Set. It seems likely that different cultures would give them different names.

blacktallon Shade Macabre ana3 skooshskoosh I used to be, but then my parents sent me to theripy, I lied and told the lady that I drank my own blood, that took care of her... to stop my parents from getting me another shrink, I tell people that Im agnostic. OR AM I!!! that was stupid...it is people like you that give witches a bad reputation. i am proudly wiccan i have been studying sense i was five. I'm tolerant of all religions (except the ones who b***h and get nothing accomplished) but I'm proudly atheist, I believe in an afterlife and whatnot, but not to the extent of heaven and hell and purgatory and whatever else catholics can make up.Im the same way.. though I am interested in Buddhism. I dont really consider it a religion though because there is no real worship or god involved. Im not Buddhist though.. I just find it interesting. It's not a religion, it's a philosophy.

To all of you people who allegedly do magic (however you spell it)/communicate with spirits/have psychic powers: No you don't. You're either delusional, or, more likely, lying.

Sanjit Buddhism, in some sects, does worship Buddha as to them he ascended after death to a deity. My friend has an aunt who is a practitioner of that sect. Some sort of monk or priestess or something. Yes, there is a sect that believes that he ascended to some form of divinity, but as a whole, it's not a religion.
