Austin just knew that was coming. He'd seen it coming a mile away, and that was why he'd never actually said he'd help if Kia NEEDED it. Not that he would jump in and go all Naruto-like on the guys to prove he was macho, or anything. That he would help out if things got out of control for Kia to handle on her own; THAT was what he meant. And he knew that Kia wouldn't know that, purely because Kia's heritage meant that typical reactions to slight suggestions of weakness would mean a negative snap-back reaction. Which is why he'd chosen his words carefully instead of saying something along the lines of.
'You're funny, Kia. But don't worry about it, i'll beat up any guy who looks at you funny. because i know you're tough, but you'll probably need me eventually to beat that guy with the godmod stick in his hand. lol.'
Hell. No. That statement wouldve meant catastrophe.
"Funny, last time i checked, that wasn't an actual answer. I'm sorry that my original statement came off the wrong way, Kia. I never intended to insinuate that you needed help in fights. I merely meant to say that i admire your courage, though plced in slightly illogical conditions, and i'd hate to see you get hurt."

Austin felt like doing an anime fall, but since he wasnta cartoon character, couldn't actually do so. And so, he simply smiled and kept his face blank.
"Whoa. I was only expecting something a bit over 120, since you look about 17. You must really take care of your skin, to seem that young. Bravo~"
He scratched his head slightly, smiling still.

"That's not necessarily true.."
Austin words would barely carry themselves the distance necessary to reach Kia's ear. It was true that in the long run, you are ultimately responsible for taking care of yourself. But that only remained the truth if you never made friends, and were always playing the lone wolf. Austin wasn't sure about Kia's past, and his energy had lsightly collapsed with the last statement he made.
After a bit, Austin began to worry about Kia.
"Is everything ok, Kia?"

"It doesn't sound like it to me, Kia. Care to tell me what's bothering you so much?"
Austin moved a bit closer to Kia, trying to close the gap at least by half before stopping to allow Kia a decent amount of breathing space.
"I'm right here, listening. Please tell me what's wrong, I don't like to see a pretty face look so sad.."

Austin, knowing the feeling of a closed door, ended it there. There was no point in trying to pry it out of her; to get to a pearl, you dont smash the clam. You wait until the clam opens up, and THEN you take the pearl.
"..Ok. Just making sure. Hey, i'm gonna head on up now...I'll seeya in a bit. Don't stay out too long, It's gonna be a long trip."
Austin placed his hands on the edge of the pool, and used his arms to pull himself completely out of the spring. water came off of his skin in sheets, and he shook his hair clean as he headed towards the dressing room. He grabbed his things, then headed off towards his dorm without another word.

Kana started walking to where she heard the bath house was-behind the dorms aways. Once she got to the gate,she turned back to Dmetri and smiled,still blushing some.
"Um,lets go to the co-ed spring so that then we can look for the right kind of basket togeather. Alright?" she asked, and nodded to herself. "I mean,if thats alright...whatever works"she said with a smile,looking to the side.

Kana ducted under to the inside, it being warm and steamy. "waaaaaaaaaah..."Kana gasped softly,looking around. "I wonder where some sort of basket might be...'she said,unsure.
"I said to look here,but now I'm not even sure if it might be here..."she said,becoming even less sure of herself.

Kana looked up at him, her eyes searching him some what. She nodded,a small smile comming on her face. "Yes,your right...lets see if something is around here before we go on to someplace else..."she said.I like how...this feels. she thought and went to wrap her fingers around his hand as well.
