foxyboy_chan Actually, there were TWO heroines in FFVII. I remember watching an interview that had Nomura saying that they wanted a game that was unique and made two heroines. They were actually planning on killing Tifa off, but they found that killing Aerith off could and probably would impact the player way more than killing off Tifa because Tifa's character was not as developed as Aerith's was at the time they planned on killing her. Actuly I read that when SE only had Aeris, Cloud, and Barrit as main characters she was supos to die but then be revived later on in the game.

wow, there seems to be some heavy debates going on in here, but I'm just going to kinda ignore them and post my opinion according to the subject. I can't really stand tifa so therefore i can't really stand the cloud/tifa pairing. I knew that she has an important role in the story and she is a strong woman, ect. But like i said I can't really stand her. I dont condemn fans of her or the cloud/tifa pairing, though. I much prefer the cloud/aeris pairing because I feel they belong together and I really like aeris's character. I realize many people hate aeris and the aeris/cloud pairing, but I like it. Everyone should be allowed to like or dislike whoever or whatever coupling they want, and they should be allowed to express it. What they shouldn't do is say mean nasty things like, "I hate that b*tch!" or "you're coupling is stupid!", people should be civil to each other and respect one another's opinions. Enough said.

Aeris was never supposed to come back though.

I guess from what I just read, there is some debating going on. Debate, debate, debate. That's all I've been doing on the threads in this Guild lately, lol. So, I'm not going to jump in.
Instead, I'll list what this topic asks.
I cannot stand:
CloudXAeris(To some extent).- I don't like the idea of them together. In my opinion, there isn't really any proof to base an opinion on. :/ I mean, there are a few, but usually I see that fans of this pairing just list their opinion and their opinion souly... without first listing the proof in which they made such an assertion. I guess, if Cloud ended up loving Aeris, I wouldn't oppose to it... I mean, I wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't HATE it either. It would be just kinda "ehh". Even if he did end up loving Aeris, I'd still support Cloti. ^^; I don't like Aeris' character at all, and I don't see any salient proof, therefore I don't see it happening, or like it happening. Especially since Aeris kind of just... flirted her way in. If I can put it that way.
*Not intending to offend Cleris supporters. It's just a pairing I find unfavorable.
Is this the only pairing I can't stand?! *scans mind* Yes, pretty much. O_O; I think I like every other pairing.. besides ones that just plain don't make sense, such as Barret and Cloud, Cid and Vincent, Sephiroth and Barret, things like that. TifaXAeris-- I don't know if I 'can't stand it' persay, I'm kind of back and forth on that one.

i totally agree. except i think that vincent and yuffie look really cute together. it's like vampire-man meets ninja-girl. it's funny. i also really don't think that yuffie goes well with cloud. it would be much to drama to handle for everyone.

Vinent and Yuffie. Gerald O'Hara was right- When two people who are total opposites are together, there is no happiness.
But, to contradict what that certain fictional Irishman said, if two people are totally the same, there's no happiness. And I just plain dislike Clotif.
And I have no idea why, but I don't like Cloud/Zack. sweatdrop
Or Cloud/Vincent. sweatdrop
Or Vincent/Sephiroth for that matter. sweatdrop
Edit- Ooh! And I forgot about Aerith and Sephiroth, and Zack/Sepiroth, and Barret/Cid, and. . -goes on and on-

Jhay-R Damn, you really hate a lot of couples, Bra... And you hate/dislike my top three, man. Actually... he mostly just seems to hate yaoi in general. Also... RxH... keep posting. It's people like you that make me like anti-sites so much. I don't really hate any coupling. There are couples I don't understand. But that's mostly because I base my preferances on character psychological compatiablity. Events just lead to relationships... they don't hold them together. Strawberry, I'm a little surprised at you for being so impressionable to have had your opinion waved by the opinion of others (despite how poorly some of the are constructed.) When I first started playing FF7 I hated Tifa/Cloud.... but that's because my brother played it before I did and told me Tifa was a whore. I stopped thinking that by the time I met Aeris. Not to mention I was twelve/thirteen and was as mature as one. I can see why couplings are liked... I just find a lot of them illogical. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy them. Rather they are put together or torn apart by memories, events, psychology, astetics, or convience. I think there's good to be found in multiple ways of each pairing.
