Fe1ix Waltrip If the BR shot like what you just stated, then I don't think anyone would use it. The BR is used mostly for the fact that it takes 12 bullets to kill someone, but only 4 shots, since it shoots in bursts of three. Fe1ix defenitly battle rifle except for the part where it doesnt have the single shot option i'm not saying for the battle rifle to just shoot one bullet but it can have the option to shoot one why waste 3 bullets at a time on a grunt or a jackal Umm... I'm pretty sure we're talking about PvP... Campaign for Halo 2 is... too easy, and quite repetetive... Anyways, why would you make a secondary mode of fire for the battle rifle? It would kinda ruin the flow of the game.

br, because as seen in the halo 3 beta video doc. if u start out with a dualweildable weapon, the game becomes a game all about dualweildable weapons

And if you quad, then that is a few seconds... Perhaps your point is valid, I just would like a few good uses for it.

If the map is small there's no point spawning with a BR, it would be much easier to spawn kill people that way. Small maps should stick with SMG start, and large maps with BRs.

For me, it's got to be the map and the game type. If its a small m ap, or ctf, koh, or assult, trhen smg, since kills arent as important. But on a larger map with a version of slayer of coruse you'll use br since it has a longer range, and no recoil. And to the guys that were talking about a single shot br, pick up a carbine same amount of power, only it uses a single shot instead of a burst. I may be wrong it may take 5 shots, but i have played multiplayer in over sixmonths so with updates, my info could be wrong, or right.

The SMG is a pathetic weapon unless dual wielded. The BR is handy in almost every situation. BR > SMG In my opinion.

It all depends on the map size and game-type. If it was a map like zanzibar or burial mounds I would go with the BR but on maps like Beaver Creek I want the SMG because if having three people aiming at one person isn't fun. Unless it was a 4-4 team match then BR is o.k.
