There was an alarm that blared off in his office. He stood up from his chair and slammed his hands on the table. "What's going on?!" he demanded. At that moment, four guards from the labratory below burst into his office, saluting him.
"Giovanni, sir!" the one on the farthest left said, "The base of Mahagony Town, where we were experimenting on the Gyrados!"
"It's been breached, sir!" said the one on the middle right. His voice was panicked slightly. Giovanni wore a stern look on his face.
"Fools who break into my rooms will pay dearly," he turned his back and headed downstairs into his lab. The four guards followed him, nearly running down the stairs. Giovanni slipped a hand into his pocket and scowled. Is it...could it be those...children? he thought for a moment, shaking his head. A door hissed open, allowing him to step through it. A helicopter waited for him inside. The man placed a ringed hand onto the handle and climbed in, sitting down and crossing one leg over the other. Two of the guards vouched to stay behind, the other two climbing inside alongside their leader. Giovanni stared at them and then back to the pilot. "What are you waiting for?!" he barked, "GET A MOVE ON!" The helicopter's blades began to spin. ABove them, the roof of the Viridian Gym opened In a flash, the helicopter exited the Gym and flew due west for Mahagony Town.
He looked up to hear the pitter-patter of feet running down a stair case. The boy blinked to see his little sister emerge from the stair case. She ran over and went striaght passed him, snatching up Flareon. The Fire-type let out a loud yelp and began to struggle to get away. It fell tired and closed its eyes, an audible groan emitting from it. "Oh, it's good to have big brother and Flaweon home!" she spun around. Kilik smirked when he detected a hint of green in Flareon's cheeks.
"You hear that 'Flaweon'?" Kilik laughed, "Someone's glad you're home. Now, Janie...I'm not here for long. I'm just dropping by for a hello."
"And a hair cut," his mother groaned, running her hands through his matted hair, "It'll be much easier to clean and much more appealing when you cut it, Kilik." She crossed her arms and looked him over many times. "You're such an attractive young man...why keep your hair like that?"
"Now, Judith..." his father whispered. Kilik looked at his dad brightly, "If the boy doesn't want a hair cut," he stroked his beard, popping his pipe into his mouth. The wife shot him a cold look, a look that would turn most men into ice, "...then he doesn't have a choice." He sat down on the recliner and propped his feet up.
"That's ri---" she paused, "JANIE! Put the Flareon down!" she yelled as the girl was tugging on its ears, causing it to whimper, "Joseph Ranmo, I'm sure I know when my boy needs a hair cut."
"Mom, I---" he was cut off.
"And don't argue. Get into that kitchen and sit down on a chair!" she barked, stomping her foot.
"Yes, Mom..." he grumbled, dragging his feet as he went into the kitchen. As always, it was spotless. He took a seat on his favorite of the four chairs; the one with the wobbly leg. He looked around him. Nothing was sitting on the stove cooking and nothing was thawing out in the sink, either. Janie came in, holding Flareon around the waist. It looked as if it had passed out, but when Kilik heard a whimper, he knew it not to be true.
"I wish you could stay, big brother," she said, "Can you leave Flareon here?" she asked brightly. The Pokemon's ears shot up and its eyes became gloomy and it shooks its head, yelping out.
He laughed at his Pokemon. "I'm sorry, Janie..." he said, "But Flareon is my strongest partner. I need him," he explained, "Maybe, when I get more Pokemon, I'll leave one here for you to play with." He nodded. The girl dropped the Flareon, who immediately ran underneath the chair his trainer sat in, whimpering and shaking. "Quit being a baby," he laughed. His mother entered the kitchen, an apron around her waist. However, unlike a standard white apron, this one had many pockets. Scissors, a cordless hairdryer, a squirt bottle, many combs (wide and thin-toothed in nature) and brushes stuck out. It looked as if she was about to wage war upon his poor head.
"Well?" she laughed, "Let's get started."

Giovanni had kept the same scowl on his face that he had left the Gym wiith the entire way to the Mahagony Town base. His arms were crossed across his chest and she shut his eyes and throught for a moment. If it is those children, I will not hesitate to stop them at once... He clenched his sleeve in his fist, even if it means killing them. The helicopter came over a mountain, home of the Ice Cave and hovered now toward Mahagony Town.
The vehicle stalled as it lowered a ladder into the back of the store that conecealed his secrets. "GO!" he barked, telling the two guards to stay behind. Giovanni stepped down from the ladder and entered the back of the store. He noticed the clerk was passed out, from something that was probably shock.

"You're kidding me!" Lance said, staring at the machine. "I had no idea that the Rockets had this technology... How on earth did they manage to acquire it?!"
"Lance, what's wrong? What's the machine do?" Sabrina asked, looking from him to the machine and back again. "What's it doing to the Gyarados?"
Lance let out a soft sigh. "This machine," he began, "possesses the power to make Pokemon evolve through ultrasonic waves. However, it is not without consequence-- the Pokemon being subjected to the waves will more often than not experience a tremendous amount of pain. This makes sense, however, because their bodies are being forced to grow at an unnatural rate."
"Well, why the hell is Team Rocket trying to make Gyarados evolve?" Nina asked, worry being present in her voice. "It can't evolve any further than it already is!"
"That... may not be true," Lance replied. "There exists another region where Pokemon exist that aren't even cataloged in these regions yet. There exist many evolutions of Pokemon that we already know of-- for example, Sneasel apparently has an evolution and there's some way to trigger its occurance. Maybe, after hearing of the new Pokemon, the Rockets decided to try to experiment on Pokemon near their base."
"And, who better to start with than a Pokemon that's already special to begin with..." Nina looked extremely worried. "We need to shut down and destroy this machine, as in right now." She eyed the Electrodes that were powering the machine. "There's six of them... and three of us. I say that we each take on two of the Electrodes-- that way, we'll get things done much faster, and we'll destroy the machine afterwards. That okay with you two?" When Nina saw Sabrina and Lance nod, the trio approached the machine. The Electrodes eyed the trainers, and two of them went to each trainer, prepared to fight.
Nina, Sabrina, and Lance's battles then began...

"MOM!" he barked, shutting his eyes tightly, "That's called an EAR! I kinda need those!" he rubbing his ear; his mom had just began to close the scissors around on it when he yelped in pain.
"If your hair wasn't so..." she squirted it with the bottle and then brushed a long strand into her hand, "...unruly, mistakes like that wouldn't happen." There was the ring of the doorbell. She sighed exhaustedly. "JOSEPH! Will you get that?!" she barked out, brushing and cutting her sons hair.
Kilik groaned as his mother cut his hair. She had been a professional hair stylist for Pokemon Contests. When it came to the right hair styles, coordinators came to her for advice and grooming. This is how she raked in the money. However, she had stopped with contests a few years back, around Kilik's ninth or tenth birthday. His father stepped into the room. In his arms was a yellow egg with a black symbol on it. The symbol looked a lot like an outllet.
"Kilik, a young girl came here for you," he said, setting the egg on the table, "When I told her you were busy, she told me to give this to you. Her name was...Rina...Runa..."
"Rena, Dad. Her name was Rena," he knew it had to have been her. No other person he had met so far on his journey would have left him an Egg (save Nina, but she was all the way in Blackthorn, right?). He winced in pain slightly. His mother had just jabbed his head with the scissors. Janie sat, watching her brother's hair fall to the floor in large chunks. Her eyes then laid upon the Egg.
"Janie Ranmo, you don't touch that. That's Kilik's Egg," he warned, "Yeah. Rena. That was it," he snapped his fingers, then moved his pipe from one side to the other, "Oh! Kilik! Did I tell you what we found while we were excavating in the Ruins of Alph in Jhoto?"
"No..." he groaned, feeling his mother tug at his hair once more. He readied himself for another interesting story from his father.

"I haven't had a double battle in ages," Nina said, with a bit of a grin. She set Sakura down, and drew another Pokeball. Flinging it, Anna erupted in a flash of light. "All right, you two. Let's see how you can handle them."
Anna glared at the two Electrodes. "You two are in for a world of hurt." She closed her eyes as she noticed both of the Electrodes using a Charge attack. When she opened her eyes, a bright flash was emitted, confusing one of them. "Your turn, Sakura! Get them!"
"I'm on it!" the Oddish replied. It rapidly shook its head, causing Stun Spores to fly outward. They connected with the Electrode that wasn't confused. "Fool," it stated simply. A few moments later, the confused Electrode glared at Sakura, and unleashed a Spark attack, rolling at a high-speed and crashing into the small Pokemon. She got to her feet, not damaged too badly from the attack.
Not wasting any time, Anna immediately blasted the paralyzed Electrode with a Psybeam attack. She was able to inflict a decent amount of damage onto the Pokemon, and when it tried to retaliate, the paralysis took effect.
"Is this a good day for you?" Sakura asked the damaged Pokemon. "Because if it is, I'd really hate to see you on a bad day." With a bit of a grin, the Pokemon looked toward the paralyzed Electrode, and let loose a Giga Drain attack; she inflicted enough damage to almost completely heal herself from the attack she had incurred, yet the Electrode was still standing. The Electrode that had been confused had since shaken off the confusion, and it was getting ready to use a Rollout attack on Sakura. Using some quick thinking, the Pokemon ran behind the nearly-KO'd Electrode as the first one was charging at her. The Electrode didn't want to miss its target, so after coming to a complete stop, it rolled backwards toward Sakura. She didn't move for a few moments, and waited for the Electrode to get close enough to her. When it was about half a yard away, Sakura quickly jumped out of the way, causing the Electrode to crash into its partner. It had built up enough speed, and the second Electrode was hurt badly enough already, that the impact from the Rollout was enough to knock it out.
"All right, Sakura!" Anna called. "Good job!" Looking toward the remaining Electrode, she loosed another Psybeam, which connected and dealt a fair amount of damage.
"Wow," Sakura said, "and here I was, worried that I'd be fighting something strong." Sakura danced around for a moment, and then sent a stream of flower petals at the Electrode. She noticed that Anna followed up this attack with yet another Psybeam, and after a few moments, Sakura waddled over to the Electrode. "I... think this one's knocked out, too!" she called to Anna.
At least, that's what Sakura thought. A moment later, the Electrode glowed a bright yellow, and then white, and Self-Destructed before Sakura had a chance to escape. She went flying, and eventually landed on the ground, sliding to a stop. She was still conscious, but hurt very badly. Slowly, she stood, and it seemed to take every ounce of energy in her body to do just that. "I... heh." She chuckled. "We did it, Anna! We won!"
Anna smiled. "Yes... we did, didn't we?" Another smile. "You did a great job, Sakura. I'm proud of you."
"Heh... It was... nothing." She walked over to Anna and Nina, but collapsed at her trainer's feet.
"Oh no!" Nina cried. "Sakura!" she bent down to pick up her Pokemon, but jumped back abruptly when Sakura was envelopped in a pure white light. It stood, and its body grew and evolved. She grew in size, and a flower replaced the strands of grass that were on her head. When the light faded, Sakura had evolved into a Gloom.

"Let's get this over with," Sabrina said, glaring at the Electrodes. Reaching for her belt, she grabbed two Pokeballs, and from them came Anastasia and Oracle. "Go ahead, you two. Wipe them out!"
"That sounds like a good idea to me!" Anastasia said.
"Likewise for me," Oracle responded. Both Psychic Pokemon looked at the two Electrodes, and knew that this would be an extremely fast match.
Glaring at one Electrode each, both Anastasia and Oracle used a Psychic attack. They lifted up both Electrodes, and made them fly around the room. Anastasia flung her Electrode into the ceiling and onto the ground multiple times, and bounced it on the walls as if it was a bouncy ball. The Pokemon giggled. "This is fun!" she said to her partner.
Oracle slammed her Electrode onto the ground like a jackhammer, and everytime the Electrode hit the ground, it made a dent into the steel. After a minute or two, Oracle and Anastasia exchanged glances, and then nodded. Each Pokemon stopped attacking the Electrodes for a moment, until finally they used Psychic to make both Electrodes crash into eachother in mid-air. The Electrodes were released from their Psychic imprisonment, and fell to the ground, knocked out and more than likely in a severe amount of pain.
Oracle smiled at its partner. "That was a job well done, Anastasia," she said.
Anastasia grinned. "Thanks, Oracle! You did very well yourself. I just kind of wish that I could have kept up with you..." No sooner had Anastasia finished her sentence, she was captured in a white light. Her body grew in stature, just as Sakura's did a few minutes beforehand. Hair flowed from the top of her head, and the rest of her body changed overall. When the light faded, a Jynx stood in the place of where Anastasia was.
"Anastasia!" Sabrina said, in a very happy tone. "I can't believe it... You've finally evolved!"

There was a steady applause, as Giovanni emerged into the room from behind a few of the broken crates they destroyed on their landing. "Simply amazing, Sabrina. It was about time your dud of a Smoochum turned into something...barely worthwhile of being called a Pokemon." He slipped his hand into his pocket and looked at the three. "And I'm pleased to see you here, Lance. I take it the Elite Four post was getting a bit...dull?" A slim smirk appeared on his lips. His eye caught Nina.
"And you," he growled, "I remember you from Five Island. You're that pesky brat...Nina," Giovanni clenched his fist and kept his nerve, lifting his head to look down at them from the top of his nose. "I don't appreciate you three barging into my property, attacking my Electrodes and tampering with my equipment!" he spat. His temper growing thin, he strode toward them with a single step.

Nina wore a sarcastic smile as she took a step forward. I'd probably look more threatening if I wasn't in a silk dress, she thought. "You see," she said, "I don't appreciate you making your minions barge onto my region's territory and stealing one of my friends to use in your experiments." Sakura and Anna were at her immediate right side, while Anastasia and Oracle were at her left. "So, I strongly suggest that you give me back the Gyarados, and the three of us will leave without any further damage to your property."

Giovanni let out a laugh that echoed even over the large machine itself. "Do you honestly think I'd let it go that easy?" he smirked, "Something must be wrong in that head of yours," he said simply. An idea struck him. "I figured you'd be rather upset about a certain...Kilik Ranmo?" he whispered his name, raising an eyebrow.

He smirked, shaking a wary finger at her. "It wasn't me who did the lifting of the finger," he laughed. He shrugged his shoulders and shook his head, "Surely, dear girl...I wouldn't do it. Someone else did," he bit his lower lip sinisterly, "Any moment now, his screams will echo through the Hoenn Region as he lay...dead. If it hasn't already happened yet," he let out another loud laugh.

A sharp gasp escaped from Nina's throat, as if she were abruptly struck in the stomach. Her eyes clenched shut as she felt tears welling up inside of them. "Ki... Kilik..." she whispered, and slowly slid to her knees, holding her face in her hands, sobbing. "Dead... he's dead...?" she asked, her voice muffled. A moment later, she looked up at the Rocket with a deathglare on her face. She jumped up and a blue outline formed around Giovanni's body. "I'll kill you!" Nina screamed.

The outline faded and he landed softly back on the gournd, "Your psychic powers will only be effective on those without a strong will...such as your boyfriend. Yes, would have made a fine addition had it not been for the fact his heart was so...weak." He smirked.

Nina's fists were clenched at her sides, so tightly that her knuckles were turning white. "All right," Nina said, "so, my psychic powers won't work on you." She glanced over her shoulder at her Sabrina, and her sister nodded.
"How about this, then?" Nina asked. A split second later, she lept on Giovanni, causing the both of them to take a tumble on the ground.
"Oracle! Anastasia!" Sabrina called. "Destroy this machine at once!"

However, it was too late, parts of the machine were breaking down, caving in on from all sides. Smoke billowed out. "My wonderful machine!!! You'll pay dearly for this!!" he growled, "And you'll both be with your precious Kilik!" he let loose another roar of hatred.
