*Walks shyly into the forums* Hi.. I'm new as you can tell...
My name is Jamie and I am a 10th grader in a small town near Portland, Maine. (And a girl, despite my avatar..) I have been in love with Broadway for at least 6 years and although I have never once stepped foot in the Broadway district of New York, I am still obbsessed. I love to study Broadway as a hobby, its history and certain musicals reflections of the times, as well as plots and stories. My OBC CD collection is constantly growing and someday I would like to go and see a real Broadway show. (I've seen the Lion King on tour however.)
I personally don't perform. I used to, but as I got older I lost my confidence in my singing and acting talents. Instead, I've developed a love for tech work, especially lighting, and help out with my school plays in that respect. I have a lot of friends who DO perform however and have become their "groupie".
Outside of Broadway, I love Josh Groban, history, fiddling with computers, photography and photo manipulation, and bio.
Hope to stick around, because I really like this guild!

Hi! I'm Tinnumir. Or Michey. Or Michelle. Whatever. I'm 19, and I live in Grand Forks, ND. I'm currently taking a year off before I go to school, but I have plans to attend Hamline University in St. Paul, MN in the fall, majoring in Theater Arts. My biggest ambition in life is to perform on Broadway. Or just perform. I've been in approximatly 19 shows (i won't bore you with the details, ask if you want to know, i'd be happy to share!) and teched for 2. My most recent credit is asst. tech director/stage manager/propsmaster for The Christmas Schooner at my former high school. Taught me that I'm better onstage than backstage. hehe. My favorite show that I've been in is Once on this Island, when I played Erzulie. Randomly obscure musicals that few have heard of are fun! Unfortunately, I've never had the opportunity to go to New York, but a few tours come here, so I catch one of those when I'm lucky. I've seen Rent, Cats (a long time ago, but it's coming back in feb! yay!) Death of a Salesman, The Magic Flute (well, that's an opera, but close enough), Chicago, and a whole poop-load of other shows between the other school in town, UND theater arts, and the other theaters in the area. Other random stuff about me? ok, well, I've played the cello for about 9 years now, and I'm insanely obsessed with The Lord of the Rings, and other works by J.R.R. Tolkien. Also, I too love all music except country and rap (lol join the club, right? haha)

Wow, where to begin? Well, I'm Arawath...or just Ara. Unfortunately I have no talent for acting or performing, but I've converted all of my enthusiasm towards fangirl-ism as well as (this year) Stage Crew. I've seen too many shows to name, but here are a few: Oliver, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera (a few times), Camelot, Man of La Mancha, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, A Chorus Line, Guys and Dolls, The Boyfriend, Peter Pan (a few times), the Lion King, Pajama Game, and Little Shop of Horrors. Wow, I just noticed those are all musicals...well, I've seen plenty of plays as well, but I'd rather not get into that. sweatdrop Anyway, I have a particular obsession with Andrew Lloyd Webber productions, namely Phantom of the Opera (book and movie as well).
Outside of all this, I play the piano obsessively, I love being outdoors, I love reading and writing (who doesn't?), philosophy and theology, I paint and do origami, play volleyball, rockclimb, and see so many movies that it can't be healthy. The End, Curtain, and exit stage left. ^.^

I guess I'll type this up quick before I go to bed -- I love theater. I have all my life. I've been acting since three, but not on stage until fourth grade. Then I landed a role with the state's children's theater. I only had one line ( sweatdrop ), but it was a great experience. After that I started getting involved with other theaters. Right now I'm with a travelling troup that performs all around Oregon and Washington. I also have a few roles in another theater's version of Redwall. Rehearsals are supposed to start on Saturday.......
Viewing-wise, I've seen (let me try to remember them all,): Little Shop of Horrors Wicked <3 Movin' Out The Lion King The Producers Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat : / My Fair Lady Chicago Mama Mia
And a lot more...... And those were just the musicals. Portland has lots of theaters, so my family and I are kept busy with viewing productions. I go to an art school myself, and one of the teachers there is heavily involved with theater. I saw him in a Christmas parody -- he was hilarious! The next day I went up to him and said, "Hello, Mr. Sikking. You don't know me because I haven't been in one of your classes yet, but I just wanted to let you know that you act very well." Then I left him, dazed and wondering who the hell I was. It was great.
Well, I have to go to bed. Tomorrow's school. Geh........

Hmmm... Well, I am a drama Major at the University of Calgary (It's in Canada, for all those un-aware). I am slowly on my way to a PhD in Dramatic Literature. I've done a Great deal of work in Theatre. I was in Calgary Opera's version of Madame Butterfly, I volunteer for the Loose Moose Theatre Company, learning under Keith Johnstone, the creator of Theatre sports. I've acted in such plays as 'Wizard of Oz', 'The Italian Straw Hat', 'The Laboratory of Halluccinations', 'The Real Story of the Big Bad Wolf', etc... In high school alone, I spent 2763 hours dedicated to the theatre... But ya, that's already alot, so I'll finish off there... for now.
Really Glad to be part of the Guild!

Hi guys! Well I got into the theatre when my dad brought me the video of Cats and I thought that must be a fun job. Later that same year my mum took me to see my first show in the West End, Mamma Mia, and I just knew I wanted to get on stage and do what they were doing. After I leave college I hope to train at the Court training company on a two year acting course and then, if my dream comes true, I shall be performing on the West End stage! I love musicals and one of my favourite roles is Eponine from Les Miserables.

Hello, all! My name is Katherine, but you can call me Kate, Katie, Jade, or DJ (it's been a nickname since long before I joined Gaia). I'm nineteen and a sophomore currently attending college in Washington, where I'm working on a communications and theatre double major. I've loved acting since I was first cast in A.A. Milne's "The Ugly Duckling" in middle school. Along the way, I've been involved in thirteen other productions and taken on the jobs of stagehand, stage manager, sound and light director, costumer and director. I absolutely love musical theatre and will always go for anything Shakespeare. I've never been to NYC, *sob crying * but I loved visiting London's West End. Like many here, I would love to get into theatre professionally, but am well aware of the chances. So my backup plan, as it were, is journalism, which is one of my other passions. I'm kindof a freak, but I'm sure that at least some of you can associate with me there! Favorite roles: ~Mrs. Weston in Emma ~Kohlenkhov in You Can't Take it With You ~Chorus in "You Can't Stop the Beat:A Review of Modern Musical Theatre" ~Costumer for A Midsummer Night's Dream and An Inspector Calls Favorite shows: ~Les Miserables ~Phantom of the Opera ~Wicked ~Guys and Dolls ~Crazy for You
