"I don't know if you know this, but, Lemmings have an acute sense of hearing and even thought you're not really talking I can still hear your lips moving so stop talking about me, ok." Kairi said, glancing over her shoulder and giving them both a slight hurt glare.
She was then silent for quite a while. Kairi quickened her pace, putting some distance between her and Knuckles and Sickle. The path they were on was straight so she wasn't worried about getting lost.
Eventually it came to an intersection and she stood and waited for someone to point the way. She glanced back but said nothing.

((Whee for military curruption. Note: Kyle is the main threat I'll be controlling.))

Kyle frowned as he saw the light shine by. He thought the wolf was unconcious. "You! Go chase after the light. I don't trust her, one bit." he said before the door closed. he turned to the mass in the good bubble. "Think your smart huh? Clever? I don't know what you did, but I'm going to make you regret it..." He said, as he stuck his hand in the bubble. Causing himself some pain, he started to absorb thier own life energy.

Sickle stared at her for a moment. Instead of apoligizing, he just shrugged. Wolf's were trained in thier hearing and sight sence birth. Although, yes, she knew they were making mouth motions, she still couldn't have heard what they said, as no air had passed out of their lungs as they did so. When Kairi stopped, Sickle pointed for ehr to go straight. "Go until you notice a cave in on your right, Kairi." he informed. His ears twinged as he thought he heard a strange voice coming from somewhere else in the sewers. He looked towards Knuckles, who kept on treking. Sickle summeized that he had imagined it.

Sparky began to react to what Kyle was doing, she twitched for a moment, wincing in her unconcious state. As she continued to react, she managed to kick out, slamming her foot--with a great deal of strenght--into Kyle's hand. The force was most likely just enough to knock him away from her. Once she had down so, her tail curled around her body, in the effort to protect her.

Bullet's ears twitched at the sound of voices, pulling his attention away from the pendant that hung around his neck.
"...It seems we're not alone.." he said softly, as he began to head towards the voices. Peeking around a corner, he quickly pulled back. He recgonized only two of them. Knuckles and Sickle, but the lemming girl--he had never seen before. Decided to stay out of view and contact for the moment, Bullet rested against the sewer wall, listening to what they were saying.
Hmm...I wonder where that cave leads... he thought to himself. Peeking back around the corner, he made sure no one was looking, before beginning to follow them.
Bullet knew very well that if Knuckles saw him, he would have a fight on his hands, they never say eye to eye. Not since that incident on mystic ruins.

Kairi forgot that she was giving Sickle and Knuckles the silent treatment when she heard them talking about seeing something. She walked close to Sickle as they started out in the right direction.
"Wolfie... a few minutes ago... when I was walking ahead... I heard a voice, but it didn't sound like you or Knuckles..." She paused for a moment. "Then in that cave... I felt like I was being watched."
She sighed as she almost tripped on an uneven spot in the ground. "I can't wait until we're back on the surface, Sickle. It's kind of creepy down here..."

Kairi brushed herself off after she was out of the manhole and took a breath of the fresh air. Her dress wasn't as dirty as she thought it might get. She caught a glimpse of her hair in a shop window... it was falling out of the bun she had it in, so she just took out the hair tie and let it fall over her shoulders.
She then turned to Knuckles. "Let's get to the Burger place so we can talk in private."
She waited for Sickle to climb up and was about to ask him if he saw anything, but after looking at his face she decided not to. Instead she changed the topic. "Wolfie, you don't thing G.U.N. would be able to track this do you?" She asked holding out the walkie talkie she had taken from the dead man.

Kairi's spirit suddenly lifted. "Maybe Sparky and Super are ok and already got to the resturant!" She thought out loud with blind optimism. "I hope so!"
She then began to run in the direction of the Burger place. She wasn't as fast a runner as Sonic or Super or any of the boys really, so she had plenty of time to get her hopes up before she reached her destination.
When she got there, she threw open the doors expecting to see the green hedge hog and yellow wolf sitting at the booth they had been in when she first met them... but instead... The place was empty except for a young kitsune.
She sighed in disappointment and then walked over to the fox, she then realised something. "You're Miles Prower, right?" She asked with a new excitement. "I've read about you in Science Weekly. It's amazing to actually meet you. Some of your inventions are just amazing."

The Lemming held out her hand, the one that wasn't holding the walkie talkie, and waited for a hand shake. "I'm Kairi, nice to meet you Mr. Prower. I know now isn't the time but maybe after the city is saves and all that we could talk about some of your inventions? I'm very interested."

((Ooo... I got an idea. I'll PM you, fallen. Oh, and on the first Sonic RP I made. Your post isn't showing, so you may have to wait until my computer is not being retarted.... Sorry.))

"Just.. call me Tails. Everyone does. 'Cept Super." Tails said, Shaking her hand. "He perfers to call me by my real name. No real reason." He shrugged. His ear twitched a moment later. "Never talk in definates, Kairi. We haven't saved the city yet."

Knuckles pounded his fists together. "Tails is right. You never know with Eggman." He warned. He looked out the window and saw the wolf. He didn't pay too much mind, as he didn't reconginze Bullet at first. He was just a little ticked that a pedestrian was around in this crises. He as about to go out there and give the wolf a stern talking too until Sickle called him over.

"Hey, Knux, We need a plan." He said simply. The Echidna turned around and nodded. Sickle turned to Tails and Kairi. "I can't be seen by G.U.N. I aready ran into two of them."

Tails sighed. "That's not good. They know of our affiliation with you. We have to play it careful... er. With Eggman though, I don't think we have to bring standerds too high. Your not a priority."

"You'd think..." Mumbled Sickle.

Knuckles hmphed. Tails went on as a small bug walked over and flew tot he ceiling. It's back opened up to show a small device as it turned on. It was a 3D map of the city displayed on top of a table. "Allright..." He said. He pointed towards Twinkle Park. "Sonic radioed in a short while ago, He's got G.U.N. on standby as he is taking out the robots closest to the city. He caught aglimpse inside. Eggman brought plenty of worker bots, and apperantly is turning Twinkle Park into one of his bases."

"That would not be good." Muttered Sickle.

"Understatement. Anyway, Best way in is underground. With sickle abourds, It's pretty much the only way in. Eggman is here for that, so the tunnels must be-" Tails said, before Sickle interuppted.

The wolf flew his hand through the diagram, pointing to the sea. "Eggman came from here, I noticed that. And he came here for a piece missing from a Super Emerald." Tails eyebrow shot up in surprise. Sickle continued. "When Sonic used them, he got lucky when he achieved that form. Had a second result happened, Super ran tests and they would have killed him. They are unbalanced." He explained. "Eggman noticed this, appearantly, and he's after the missing shard. From the blue one."

"How do you know it's from the blue one? I thought they faded from color after awhile." Tails said.

Knuckles raised a fist. "That Sonic, so foolhardy..."

Sickle shook his head. "If he hadn't, you wouldn't have your Emerald." Knuckles stopped and shut up. "Alright, well, We have the shard in our presence. Miss Kairi has it." He said, giving time for Tails and Knuckles to look at her. "That's why Eggy's here. Setting up a base is a bonus, and probably spur of the moment when he found the piece here. The tunnels will be a lot safer then you think."

Tails tapped his lip. "Alright then. This is great news." Tails said.

"No, it is not. Kairi's in danger, Super is missing, his girlfriend is too, and G.U.N. is here. Eggman and Sonic are facing off, probably right now, and Eggman's making better robots, so he must be getting tired. And you two are still here." Sickle said. "We need to act now."

Tails looked at the map, and looked back at the other three. "Alright then. geesh..." He stared at the map, and his eye fixated on the Walkietalkie. "Hey, Kairi, is it? Hand me that." He said, taking the radio from her. "I can use the frequency from this radio to pinpoint the selection of all the soldiers in the area. But it won't be very large. Two miles, top." He scratched the back of his head. "And it would get a little messy with the large concentrations of G.U.N. Soldiers, but I can add it too my model to help us out." He said, turning to the group.

"Looks like your idea was helpful, then, Kairi." Sickle said.

"What idea?" Miles said.

"Nothing. Tails, you do that. We're gonna take the sewers. Give us your own radios so we can keep in touch." Knuckles interjected. "Come on guys."

Sickle turned to Kairi. "It's gonna be dangerous. Are you sure you want to come? Now, don't be stubborn. I don't want you to get hurt on my behalf." he said, holding her shoulders. It had only been a day, but things like this seem to accelerate thins like that.

Kyle grabbed her foot and 'tch tch tch'd, then he did something terrible. He bit her on the foot just before she curled up in defence. He didn't expect a voilent shock, and he shook his head after he was blasted away a couple feet. Ornery, he ordered the truck to go faster. "We need this wolf back to HQ, now!" He yelled. He was in a bad mood. He walked over and grimiced. "You'll pay, you dumb wolf. You'll pay dearly."
