I did start out with Fushigi Yuugi. (:
My sister got a magazine once and a while and in it were advertisments for Fushigi Yuugi. Well, one say she bought the first VHS and I just fell in love with it.
I now own the first 26 episodes on DVD, but still haven't seen the rest. D:
I collect Alice 19th and I finished Imadoki. Both manga version.
I started Ceres, on DVD, but never finished. x.x I have the middle part of the series..I accidentally skipped the first DVD. ^^; Needless to say, I wasn't all that sure what was going on, but I worked my way through it. (:

Well I had known about her works such as Ceres and Fushigi Yuugi, but they didnt seem intersting at first. Then I borrowed Imadoki from a friend and loved it! After words I borred Alice 19th from the same friend and noticed the art was the same. So I check and saw that they where from the same creator. After that I perpously started looking for any of her works. And now I can tell one of her books right away. I suppose I really got in to her mangas earlier this year...

Around three years ago, I started trading some manga with friends. One of my friends had lots of Watase Yuu managa so she brought them in for me. I was introduced to Fushigi Yugi first, and then Ayashi no Ceres, Alice 19th, and Imadoki. razz

I started on Fushigi Yugi because I bought an Animerica mag and it happened to be in there. I guess I've been hooked ever since.

Hrm, I started onto Yuu's work with Fushigi Yugi, like a lot of people. Someone I use to know introduced it to me and after the first manga I was hooked, I read the entire manga as soon as she got each new volume since i couldn't buy them all myself. I started seeing anime about 4-5 years ago? FY was the first item of anime i had ever seen, and it made me a Yuu fan forever XD.

I started about 4 years ago on Fushigi Yugi and I was immidiotly addicted. After then I went through evry other work of hers (and I'm still doing that! sweatdrop )

Sorry to say, I haven't been a fan too long, but the first time I read a Fushigi Yugi sampler in a magazine (probably...4 or 5 years ago) I was definately interested. Unfortunately, I was young at the time, and my dad confiscated the magazine.
A few years later (almost 2 years ago) my friend in my Lit class handed me Ayashi No Ceres. I got kinda scared that my parents would take it away from me and that it was one of those creepy hentai books, but I instantly fell in love with the story.
The year after that, she gave me Fushigi Yugi and Alice 19th, but I found Imadoki, Genbu Kaiden and Zettai Kareshi on my own! Now I'm hooked!

lets see, i was shown ayashi no ceres (the anime) only the first episode, it took me some time to track down the anime (since i saw it as a subbed import at a friend's house). during that long wiat another friend had shown me the first 4 episodes of fushigi yuugi, i eventually bought the fushigi yuugi seres (the tv series, and all 3 ova) at around the same time that i bought the ayashi no ceres boxset. ^^ about a year later a friend told me that watase yu had released a new manga called alice 19th, i slowly started to collect the manga, and while i was collecting it, i came across imadoki. fast forward a year and 2 months to yesterday when i found the genbu saga manga, and now today when i found out thatthere are at least 2-3 more series out and about (in us, and japan. )
my total years of being watase yu otaku have been 6 years.
oh and i have been slowly collecting the fushigi yuugi manga ^^
side tidbit that really got me interested is that watase yuu's birthday is the same as mine (march 5th) biggrin

well I first started reading Manga in the summer of 2004 [last year] and I had just joined a new group of friends XD who of coarse all love manga and anime XD anyways one of my good friends who got me started her sister owns the the first vol. of alice 19th [ domokun heart ahhh Frey is mine! heart domokun ] anyways after the first vol i became heavyly addicted to manga scream so i bought the rest of the serries and the rest of the school year actually the whole school year i did not buy a single lunch with my lunch money scream i used it all to by manga and DvDs ^.^ by the end of the year i had about 63 mangas and 7 DvDs scream ^.^ so i am happy now and i cant wait till next year because i am going to high school so my lunch money is now being boosted 5 dollars more ^.^
*tee hee hee* 2 books per week now!

I've been interested for 2 years now and the first manga I read by Yu Watase was Fushigi Yugi then Ceres and then everything else was just put into place. It's just to bad Imadoki is only 5 books i liked the series a lot.

I started with Fushigi Yuugi! It was only about 5 months ago! but I hadf first gotton into anime but then my sisters friend who is obsessed with all things Japanese let her borrow Fushigi Yuugi one so my siter read it and one day while she was at anime club I took it and read it then I started buying them now I have up to volume 11! blaugh

god, i feel so insignificant....
I started about a year and a half ago.... I had seen advertisements for ceres in random manga i already had and i thought the art was beautiful. So after going to barnes and noble and seeing that the didn't have anything i normally read, i thought i'd blow ten bucks on that "wierd series with the cool art".
I was back up at BN the next day, buying volumes 2 and 3.
After reading up to about vol. 6, i started reading fushigi yugi.... and again, bought two more the next day.
Then my friend who was a very hard core yu watase fan let me borrow all the alice 19ths, imadokis, and the rest of fushigi yugi.
I've been a tamahome/yuhi/toya/kyo/flippy/koki lover ever since.
