Superman turned to see the large Ki blast charging toward him. Due too his late alert of it Superman didn't have enough time to properly dodge it. Digging his feet into the ground Superman braced himself for the impact of the blast. As the energy made contact with his hands Superman began to slide back unearthing large amounts and soil and rock with his feet. Smoke began to emit from his hands caused by the Ki energy wearing away at even his tough skin. Losing his footing for a brief second Superman was now being pushed back in the air. The loss of his footing caused him to go flying toward the companions of not only him but Goku as well. Trying to regain his balance Superman wrestled with the blast of energy attempting to re-direct it. Turning upwards Superman began to be pushed back toward the sky. Luckily there was o air traffic in the area because of the match so he didn't have to worry about that. The skin on his hands still burning Superman had no choice but to to take the blast. Unable to redirect it the only available option left was to block it. Tensing up the muscles in his chest Superman moved his hands out of the way of the blast letting it hit him in the chest. A massive explosion of energy could be seen in the sky which lit up the already illuminated ground like a street light. Everyone watched in awe from the ground looking up at the sky to see what the result of the blast was. The large cloud of dust and smoke created by the blast was too thick to see through at the moment. A few seconds later out of the sky Superman fell 3000 feet out of the sky toward the ground. Picking up velocity as he went the man of steel barreled toward the Earth eventually hitting it. The force of the tremor caused by his landing could be felt for 12 miles. While powerful it was not enough to harm anyone. A large mas of rubble lay in the area Superman had collided with. Just when it seemed as though Superman would not rise , some of the rubble moved apart and Clark slowly came from the ditch. Smoke whisked off of the S on his chest for a few moments before disappearing. Superman was up but however he was not still in the fight. Although he was standing on his feet Superman was out cold! Yes the man of steel stand on his feet unconcious as a result of the blast. Still the hero in him left him unable to fall before those who looked up to him. As a strong gust came through Superman rocked a bit an began to fall backwards.

Too shocked to simply keep his thoughts to himself, Goku unknowingly spoke his mind. "Holy cow! I can barely feel that guy's power level anymore!" The Saiyan began to contemplate over what could possibly be going on here. "No way! He's out cold! I've never seen this before."
Just as Goku blurted that out, a general gasp could be heard from both parties, as they were in shock to see such a thing. Seconds later, the blonde-haired referee flew in on a Capsule Corp jet to inspect the battle. "Hold the fight! Hold the fight!" He yelled, not wanting to be caught in the middle of an attempted attack. "Goku is this true?" He asked, needing to confirm that Superman was unconscious. "Yes, I know he is. I almost can't sense his power level anymore. He's simply acting out of sub-conscious will." Said Goku, as the announcer nodded and flew down to Goku's group. Having known what Goku said, the Z Fighters who could sense energy nodded, as Piccolo added, "He's right. The guy's out of it. It's got to take some serious will power to even be standing at this point." Said the Namekian, as the announcer nodded and flew back to the middle of the battlefield, not consulting Superman's party due to him knowing next to nothing about them. He then held a small black speaker piece to his mouth, as the speakers from the sides of his jet blarred loud enough so that all could hear, "We have officially confirmed that Superman is unconscious! Going by official tournament rules, this is indeed a strange scenario. As you all know, usually when someone is knocked out, they lose the match, however if they remain standing, they are technically still in! The battle can't end in a stalemate over this, so we need a general vote from everyone. You will all have the option of either keeping Superman in the match, or disqualifying him! For those who wish Superman to stay in the fight, raise your hand after I finish speaking. For those who wish Superman to be disqualified, simply don't raise your hand, and I will then tally the total votes. The concensus must be over 50% in one favor for the decision to be reached!"
The announcer then finished, and awaited the reaction of both parties. The only ones whom raised their hand from Goku's party consisted of Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, Tien, and Chaozu. The four besides Vegeta knew the depth of the situation, and realized that Superman still deserved to fight, no matter what state he was still in. Both fighters deserved a good battle, and honor was due, which the four knew. Vegeta, however, only raised his hand in order to give Superman the chance to dominate Goku, as he would have loved to see his rival in defeat. The others of Goku's party whom didn't raise their hand were simply too blinded by their desire of Goku to win, and they did not realize the depth of the situation like Piccolo, Gohan, Tien, and Chaozu did. Goten and Trunks just simply wanted to see Goku win, thus they didn't raise their hand. Krillin, Yamcha, and Bulma thought Goku put up an exceptional fight, and deserved to win after this, especially after hearing what Goku had to say. Chi Chi was just too concerned with Goku's safety, and wanted the match to end.
The announcer then came back on air to tell the results of Goku's party's decision. "All right, people! Team Goku's results are in! The total score is 5 people wanting Superman to remain, and 6 wanting Superman out! Team Superman's decision is next!" He shouted into the small microphone, as he turned to look at Superman's party. However, from the corner of his eye, the announcer saw Goku. His hand was up! "We have an update on Team Goku's votes. Apparantly, Goku has decided to vote as well! And he wants his opponent in the match! The total score is now 6 to 6! Team Superman will determine if the red and blue caped hero will remain, or be disqualified!"

Wally watched the people on Goku's side vote, he assumed the announcer was going to only ask them and judge the match as a result of what they voted." Hey That's bull!" The Flash yelled out in Superman's defense." There's no way that would hold up in court. I DEMAND MY LAWYER!!!" The human speed demon protested in aggravation repeatdly." NO JUSTICE NO PEACE!" He yelled out once more still unaware of how the situation really was.
Bruce sighed and leaped down from a large boulder hidden in the shadows landing silently. Walking over to the Flash he felt embarrassed for him. Whispering in his ear, Bruce told him that both parties would get a chance to vote on behalf of the person they where supporting. " Hes seen enough action for today..." Batman raised his hand in favor of Superman not fighting. He knew that even a man of steel would bend eventually.
The Flash listened carefully to everything that Batman told to him. Desciding to play it of and lessen the shroud of foolishness now surrounding him the Flash couped his hands in the back of his head laughing." HA HA! I got you all.. Seriously I was just joking." Raising his hand the Flash voted Superman in.
John looked around from Superman to Goku and then back to Superman." Superman would want to fight but how is the man going to defend himself when hes knocked out. I think this is some kind of sick game they're playing!" John said his voice beginning to rise as he pointed toward the Z fighters." I vote Superman out. If you want a re-match that's fine but it wont be today.." John raised his hand for Superman out.
Wonder Woman sighed seeing everyone becoming so irritated over essentially nothing. She knew Clark very well and knew his personality. She didn't know whether to do what she felt he would want and keep him in the match, or take him out and prevent any further damage to him. Superman did look pretty tattered as a result of the fight. Not being able to choose Wonder Woman came to decision" I'm not voting.." She said sternly waiting for Hawkgirls response.
Hawkgirl held her hammer watching the transactions taking place. At the moment she could care less if a fight broke out or not. But there where more important things to worry about like whether or not Superman stayed in this match." Superman is a as his name says a man. I think he should stay in this match." Hawkgirl raised her hand voting that Superman stay in the match against Goku
As the gust of wind blew against him Superman leaned forward and backwards before eventually falling back into the ground landing with a soft thud. Everyone turned there attention to him seeing the man of steel on the ground. Slowly Superman's eyes opened. Looking around Superman could see that Goku was up and he was not and could tell that he had lost. A bad feeling came over Superman even though he was a sportsman and he needed to say something." I'm sorry to the people of the world...I know alot of you have always looked up to me but I guess I'm not the hero I should be..." Superman looked up at the sky still the bad feeling lingering in the pit of his stomach, looking to Goku Superman opened his mouth again." Goku I guess this means you're the worlds greatest hero now.." Superman said as he struggled to get up.

"Not necessarily . . ." Said Goku, as smiled he nodded towards the announcer. "According to the votes from both parties, we have a tie! Yes, that's right, the final score is 8 to 8!" The announcer then saw Superman re-gain consciousness, and prepared to ask one final question. He flew down towards the Man of Steel, turning off the speakers as he asked, "I don't know if you heard but . . . basically a general vote was held on whether to keep you in the match or not. It ended up being a tie, therefore the final decision is up to you. If you wish to stay in the match, we will continue. If not, I'll have to hand the victory over to Goku. Technically, you haven't lost yet. But your word can change it all. What will it be?" He asked, as the battlefield fell dead silent, with only the sound of breeze in the air. Both parties eagerly awaited the word that could determine the match. Most anxious to find out the result was Goku. Seeing as he voted for Superman to be in, he hoped that the match could continue, and the final verdict could be reached through a clear cut winner.
