ButterBalls Captain_Sipid_Peabody ButterBalls Captain_Sipid_Peabody I've always looked at LI as my personal playground. The swing and the sandbox were always the best. I've always liked the swing and that twirley thingy that spins in circles. Oh, I know what you're talking about. That thing is cool too. Aye, coolest toy ever. I remember in my High School Physics class, my teacher had our class take a mini field trip down to the local park so he could use it (twirley thingy) to demonstrate centrifugal/centripital force.

I hate the metric system or I really just don't understand it. I hope I get a B in that class and I'm not doing very well in it already. Is that Political Science?

If you have any specific questions I'm happy to help. I guess it just comes from being raised on it but I think it is much easier then Imperial. It is all about multiples of ten.

Nah, I appreciate it, but I have to just memorize it really. That's the hardest part for me is knowing that kilograms is 1 000 x a gram.

They tend to use the same prefexis no matter what you are talking about. ie. a kilometer=1000 meters. We use kilometer rather then mile as our main driving measure. ie 50km(kilometers)/hour.

I'll get it down it's just I have to weigh in all the other classes. Doing bad in Chem has been my fear for two years. I've never failed, so I'll probably do well in the class. It's just the starting of the year.
I heard that was slower than 50 miles an hour.

My learning disability prevented me from ever taking chem/physics. I was stuck with GPS. Some general science bullshit class. rolleyes
I was able to get into any honors english classes I wanted to without taking the tests, though. Never did cause I didn't care, but it's nice to know I don't completely fail at life.

For example, we had to name off elements and he called me and I said Fire. It's an Earth element at least. surprised

I heard that was slower than 50 miles an hour. 50km/hr ~ 30ml/hr 80km/hr ~ 50ml/hr So 50km/hr is the normal road driving speed in town. 80km/hr is slower highway speed. Some of them get up to 90, 100 or 110. I don't think I've seen anything faster then that.
Milli is 1/100th. A millimeter is 1/10th of a centimeter so it is close to 1/8th or 1/16th of an inch.

Milli is 1/100th. A millimeter is 1/10th of a centimeter so it is close to 1/8th or 1/16th of an inch. You lost me. xd For the most part. ~ means approximatly equal to. So 50km/hr is nearly the same as 30 ml/hr. 80km/hr is almost the same as 50ml/hr.
Most of the time you guys go 30ml/hr right? So we go 50km/hr which is about the same speed.
And a millimeter is about as exact as we usually measure. Take a meter and cut it into 10. Those are decimeters. We hardly ever use those. Cut a decimeter into 10 and you have a centimeter. We use those most of the time. Cut a centimeter into ten and you get a millimeter. Those are about as exact as we even bother to use. Most rulers show up to millimeters. And sorry I was mistaken before millimeters are 1/1000th.

Leviticus can shove it My learning disability prevented me from ever taking chem/physics. I was stuck with GPS. Never did cause I didn't care, but it's nice to know I don't completely fail at life. Learning disability? Didn't know 'bout that, or I did and forgot. You should call me Katie. On the landline.... You still have the number I hope.
My Chemistry teacher wants to me to switch the Honors Chemistry, but the Honors Chem teacher is scary as ********, and Honors Chem is supposedly the HARDEST class in my school. Or so says my councelor and my senior friends... ehehe, I think I'll stay in normal Chem thank-you-very-much. Weirdos. I had a 3.8 this morning, then I went to Parent/Teacher/Student Confrences, and I have closer to a 3.96 now. Just gotta make up a quiz in math, I think. Then it's a 4.0 Yay. biggrin
