Veronica stayed silent, flipping through many reports. One after another. A pair of glasses rested on the bridge of her nose, her hood was now down. "I heard.." She began, "That woman, Raine was it? Her element was water, was it not?" She asked Rathios, as if he knew the asnwer. he may of, but she wasn't sure.

"One of the reasons he's such an enigma." Rathios said with a shrug as he continued fixing the reports. Truth be told, Rathios didn't really know what element Raine was, as he Master Pendant often masked her energy signiture.

((Did she go back to water when she became an angel?))

((Nope.))

"Enigma?" SJhe questioned him. She was obviously too involved in the reports. "I'm just repeateing what I heard." Sje mumbled, licking the tip of her finger to flip the page over.

((That's what I thought, I was just making sure. She stayed fire then?))

Rathios sighed, tensing slightly as he thought to himself Do you even know what enigma means?. Instead he said "We don't test for a person's core element when they become a council member in case someone else gets a hold of the knowledge."

((Yepp! 8D))

"I knew that.." She muttered as she dropped another report in a pile she had already read. "You should have done it though, it would have been useful... One way or another." Veronica reached down to grab another file, but instead, ended up stretching her arms above her head. Her muscles had grown tense from sitting around-- Which she normally didn't do. "So tell me." She started, dropping herself into a chair next to Rathios. "Did you give me the reports because you believed me? Or because I was getting on your nerves just hanging around. Because once I'm done here, I guarentee I'll see you again." She stated, staring down at her nails for a mere moment before glancing up at him. She was taking a quick chatter break before getting back down to business with the reports.

Rathios grinned. "If I believed in you, why would I bother giving you the reports. I'd just tell you eveything rather than making you look for it. This way's a small revenge for your annoyance." he said with a sort of wicked grin on his face.

"But I clearly asked for the reports, so..." She said in a sarcastic way, lifting her hand into the air. "But reading does not matter me. If I get the information needed, I'll leave right away." Veronica shrugged and stood up from the chair and headed back towards the reports to continue.

"But ever moment you waste here, there's a chance someone else will get the bounty." Rathios pointed out as he finished fixing the report and switched to a new one.

"That, I doubt. You van't get rid of me that easily." She said, looking up from her report before shaking her head and moving her eyes back down on to the sheet of paper. "That was a really sad attempt. You'll have to try better then that. If the council hasn't captured him by now, I'm sure a mere bystander could."
PostPosted: Thu Oct 19, 2006 5:32 pm

"The coucil can't catch Durithill because, a: we want to kill him, b: we don't have enough supplies and man-power, and c: he can hide in the Forbidden Realm, Lady Raine is the only one that can get there, and she doesn't know how." Rathios said with a shrug. He didn't feel it neccessary to mention Durithill was also the second most powerful demon alive, aside from his father.

"There you go. Now, I don't think anyone would be able to capture him if the damned council can't. Now, if you will excuse me, I have some research to do. " Veronica picked up another report and began reading it, she had many piles to go through. Many.. many more.

((Commercial time? XD For what?))

"You started the conversation." he mumbled before going back to his own work.

((Ohhhz! XD Enjoy.))

Veronica hadn't replied. She wasn't one for arguments-- well, not really. She did get into them occasionally. But that didn't really matter much. Veronica took a few piles of reports in her arms and walked towards a chair, not taking her eyes off the current report she was reading for not even an instant. Once sitting down, she crossed one leg over the other before placing the pile she had yet to read on her lap.

Durithill looked around as he entered the Master Realm. He sniffed the air a couple times, then turned to wait for Raine.

((Gah! Sorry for the lack of posting, I was really busy this weekend.

I had like... a baby shower, shopping, a marathon, the movies, and continuous relative visits all packed into one weekend-- NON=STOP! D:
))

Raine emereged from the portal, her slightly heeled sandle-sort shoe hitting the ground. A soft release of air was heard as both her feet touched ground. Her lungs had filled with air as a deep intake was inhaled, followed by a swift exhale. She was tired. The gentle rainfall didn't help too much. She was, after all of the fire element.

Her crimson eyes glowed brightly as she turned towards Durithill with a nod. "Be ready to be attacked-- well --yelled at at least. Rathios is looking for you, we could say, after all." Clearing her throat and flattening her accentive clothing against her, Raine began to walk to the library where Rathios would most likely have been. She had returned, like she said she would have.
