Well, it's more of a manner of sportsmanship, and keeping the hate toned down in this subforum. I mean, I've seen how bad pairing bashing can get, even if it's in good fun, and believe me, it gets really ugly some times. It also makes the pairing that are supported by the folks who are doing the bashing look very bad, as well, even if it's only two or three people. It kind of hurts me to see folks do that, since I like both pairings, as odd as that may sound. sweatdrop

But anyways, that's that. Cleris does have that tragic aspect, especially with Aerith dying less than half way through the game. Although, as sad as it sounds, the one real reason I like Cleris is because of the colors. Or wait, that's mainly why I like Aerith... Nevermind, I just like for the same reason I like other pairings, which is because I just do. But anyways...

Aerith was able to touch him, although not in a physical sense. More like her soul/spirit is able to interact with his on a separate, non-physical level. Aerith hasn't had her spirit broken down to be reborn again yet, so she still retains her form, as does Cloud's spirit, because he's alive. It's rather nifty that he can always have her around, although it might be better for the both of them if Aerith didn't talk to Cloud in the same manner she did while he was driving Fenrir though the Sleeping Forest. If she distracts him too much, he might crash into a tree or something, and although that would allow him to be with her until they're reborn, I don't think Cloud would want to go out that way.

That, and it's not pretty when a motorcyclist crashes into a tree.

But now that I think about it, once Cloud's projected from his seat, he could probably land somewhere safely, seeing as he and his buddies in Avalanche are all human grasshoppers.

I've never seen bashing get too out of hand
but I do realize that there is always the possibilty

haha I would have to admit that would o so hilarious if cloud hit a tree

what I think atleast is that if you truly really hate a character. its really not the character you hate, it goes beyond that meaning you're own personal problems because hating a character is kinda of pointless

Couple bashings- kk, I understand. ^_^
Cleris colors- YES! I love how they look together! Cloud's dark blue and Aeris' pink. I actually have a pet theory that their colors were done like that on purpose
Cloud- Blue, traditional color for males, he's the epitomy of the typical, stereotyped male(cocky, quiet, strong)
Aeris- Pink, traditional color for females, typical female(out going, cheerful, loving)
I quite enjoy comparing tradiontal ideas about men and women

Aeris'n Cloud spirit action- Well, Nomura said that the whole thing with those two is Aeris' consious lives on in Cloud's heart so I guess when they're talking it's just what's going on in his head or something

Well, for me, it's not so much as the traditional colors for either gender that may be represented (at times, when the lighting in correct, Cloud's outfit actually looks purple xd ), so much as it is how I like how the colors that make up Aerith come together in harmony. The chestnut brown of her hair, the light but not overly bright pink of her dress, accented by her silver bracelets and red jacket, topped off with brown boots and brilliant green eyes. She is very much like a flower in full bloom. biggrin

Cloud's costume and color palette never really fascinated me as much, so I never really bothered with him. xd

Also, another thing on Aerith's consciousness living on in Cloud's heart... Technically, she can see everything he does, which would be perfect for blackmail. Technically, Aerith lives on in all their hearts, although you might assume that she holds a stronger connection with Cloud and Marlene's hearts (Marlene seems very perceptive when picking up Aerith's presence). Assuming that Aerith can speak to all of them through their spirits (which she probably could, since she has a bond with all of them and is a Cetra), she could threaten Cloud with various forms of blackmail. >:3 Granted, it sounds rather devious, but you never know with Aerith...

She might finally tell Barret about Cloud's little escapade in Wall Market, which I'm sure Tifa would also enjoy too... xd

But I digress... Cleris is very pretty to look at. razz
