Mafa heard footsteps stomping toward her hiding place. She ducked her head down and put her paws over her maw, hiding as best she could. She heard a sniff, so from under her paws she sniffed back. Slowly she lifted her head up, she had been right! It was only the adult hyena from before. Carefully she crawled out, happy that she hadn't been forgotten and left there. Her tail wagged and she peered up to her elder,
"Where are we going to go? And my name is Mafa, if you were wondering or anything...."

"Good," The little silver cub on the branch looks down, sniffing, apparently glad that she got rid of the 'dirty' hyenas. She releases her grip a little to wiggle around, watching Banzai move towards the smaller Mafa. A baby hyena. She thought they hatched from eggs, or something. Or were born mean and big. She's never seen a baby one before. "Who're you guys, anyways?" She questions, commandingly.

At seeing the young lioness approach, Mafa's eyes go wide and she zips closer to Banzai, her tail held between her shaking knees. She doesn't want to look up at the cub, but she must, a question was asked, and she will respond,
"H-hyenas, as you see, I-I'm Mafaaa"
She was choking on her own words as she spoke, but she got it out. At this point she should have been telling herself that talking to the lion cub wasn't was bad as she had made it out to be, but it was! It was a terrifying ordeal for the pup and she tryed to avoid it, even though at most times she couldn't.

As Banzai runs off, back towards the graveyard, Ciyari decides that coming down would be a good idea. She can't stand the height. Feverishly, she moves off down the treetrunk again, slowly...but ends up slipping, and falls half the way to the ground. Luckily, she's a cat and lands (more or less) on all four feet, stumbling a little. A rather wicked gleam is in her eye as she trots up nonchalantly to Mafa. She never knew hyenas could be scared of anything. This could be fun...for her. "Well, I don't much care for hyenas in my lands. My da' doesn't, either, he's a murderer and he eats hyenas for breakfast. Only the big ones, though. You're too skinny to eat," She says, eyeing Mafa critically. "So you're probably pretty safe...for now."

Mafa let out a rather loud whimper as Banzai left her side and ran. Now she was alone, and these few moments were surely going to be her last.
"I'm s-sorry, I did not mean to come hear, really!"
She backs away from Ciyari, taking little steps and tripping every few steps she takes. She didn't believe that lion, not one bit. Her father was going to eat her evem though she is small, lion don't care what size a hyena is! And if it is not cubs father that will devour poor Mafa, then the cub will surely do it herself.

Satisfied, Ciyari sits down on her bottom and sniffs. "Well, only if you're really truly sorry," She says, as if considering the matter. "Then I guess we can let it pass. Where were you going, anyways? We don't see many murdering sca - I mean, hyenas on our lands much. Did you kill anything?" Ciyari is rather hopeful of the last, for she's dreadfully hungry.

Mafa smiles rather meekly, maybe she will live after all! She carefully looks over to the cub,
"I am sorry! Really I am! Well I was just trying to find my m-mom, you see she's gone, lions took her, and here I am.!"
She scoffed very quietly, she had never learned to hunt, as a matter of fact, she sucked at scavanging too, and that was pretty bad.
"Nope, no kills from me, I was hoping there would be something here..."

A sudden upsurge of pity gushes through Ciyari's heart. A sudden understanding, a sudden fellow-feeling...she sums this up into one word: "Oh." That not being quite so tactful, she shock herself. "Well. " She doesn't want to tell Mafa that if lions took her - especially pridals, she thinks, bitterly, to herself - the hyena pup was quite likely never to see her mama again. "Well, you're welcome to hunt with me, if y'd like." She rather hopes that the hyena pup can hunt, however; Ciyari's rotten at it.

A smile warms Mafa's maw, maybe this cub isn't as bad as the others of her species, as long as she won't get eaten, she'll tag along with this cub for a while, well, at least untill she finds that adult hyena from before again. Hmmm a hunting invitation, that seems rather nice. Mafa isn't much of a hunter, never had the chance to learn, she has caught her share of rodents since her mom was taken away, so maybe she could help the cub with that,
"Hunting, sure sounds nice!"

Swiftly, a charcol coloured pup rolled out from between two trees, attacking a branch that was placed between his paws. Getting it....getting it beaten. Showing it who's boss. Mmm....sure does taste good. He flipped onto his stomache and gnawed the poor stick into nothing but splinters. Flatly ingoring everything around himself, he chewed every piece up that was larger than his nose. Hungry drove him to this, though he would never admit it.

Banzai trekked back into the area, surprised he'd managed to find it. He hadn't been able to find Shenzi or Ed... Wierd. "Hey kid, I'm back. Just needed to check... on... something..." He stopped walking as he nearly avoided ANOTHER hyena pup. His eyes widened. Where were they all coming from, the sky!? He pounced around, and sniffed the little bundle of fur.

Tukutu tensed when he felt the breathe of the elder next to him. He jumped back and snarled, looking at the other straight in the eye.
"Doncha sneak up on meh like dat!"
Angry that this...flat out stranger was so close to him angered him enough to spit towards the other. Being young, it didn't get very far, but that didn't mean he'd back down from his thought-out opponent.

Mizaku glared at the Hyena's as he watched them leave, glad they were getting their scrawny hides out of here. He moved to the end of the branch and hissed, swatting the air swiftly.
"That's right! You better run!" he snapped, seeming to spear the Hyena's with his eyes. He snickered to himself and crossed his front paws as he looked down at them.
"...stupid... worthless scum..." he muttered under his breath.

Beady black eyes shifted to the terrain around to study the emerald laced surroundings. Ears were pricked forwards, carefully listening in to all of the creatures spread about, as the youthful cub meandered through this strange territory. His intentions were to find one of his own species, although with an attempt at keeping somewhat hidden in the process. However, the colors placed on his coat did no such thing as keep him camoflouged, as it was of a reddish-brown, almost auburn, with several spots of white splotched across it, along with having the majority of his face, and paws, also dipped with the whitish color. The tuft of light brown hair atop his head bopped up and down, slowly, as to match that of the pace his paws moved across the ground. His tail flicked mildy as he continued on his way, carefully watching the scenary packed around him, watching closely as some voices in the distance began to grow..
((Geh.. I havn't rped formally for a few weeks now. Hopefully within a few posts I'll get back into decent posts again. xD ))

"Geeze, bone head. Watch where you're going!" He planned to ignore this one, not really caring anymore... But Mafa seemed like she'd grow up to be just like him, and that had him interested. Padding over to the girl Hyena, he kept on eye on Ciyari. Were they friends now or something? Heh... Pups...
"Mafa... Right? Call me Banzai. D'you know this guy? Is he like... Some kinda friend of yours?"
