well.. only two reasons would voluntarily get a flu shot.... either they're under the weather.. or... they're goin on a trip and it's good advice to get a shot.
That's not the reason they get them in the US. Here, you get one if you're really old or if you're really young. Unless you live in Florida, then you make sure to get one before the snowbirds (Canadians and Northerners who ALWAYS bring HORRIBLE strains of the flu) get down here. Especially if you live with someone who has a low immune system and wouldn't even be able to fight off the half-dead virus that's in the shot.
3nodding My grandmother just had cancer 3 years ago, and her immune system is still recovering from the Chemotherapy and Radiation.
