Several minutes later, the young librarian emerges looking triumphant. She removes the sign, and begins to circulate around the library, picking up forgotten books and making sure her patrons were all finding everything they needed.
"I have GOT to find a shelver...." she muttered to herself and she stacks another book on top of the already huge stack, then returns to the desk and begins to sort through the papers sitting there, looking for something. "Maybe I'll put an ad in the paper..."

Kyraa comes out of the office and makes a move to exit the library when she overhears the librarian. "Oh, I knew I forgot something. I'm sorry, Ms. Cryllia. I meant to ask if you'd accept me as a shelver."

eek "uh..." Stutters the librarian. "Well, uh..." She grins sheepishly. "That'd be great! Its a lousy pay, but you never have to pay fines on books you check out. When can you start?"

"How about now?" She looks forlornly at the mountain of paperwork thats being covered by a humongous pile of books. "We only have one booktruck. You do know dewy decimal right?"

"Dewey Decimal? I know decimals, but no Dewies," Kyraa admitted, "But I'll help in any other way I can. Really!"

"Well, its pretty much the same thing. A guy named Dewy came up with this system to use decimals to organize books. Each section has its own numbers. For instance Art is in the 720's. Japanese art specifically is in the 725's. Just put all these books in order, and you'll figure out what goes where soon enough. If you run across any reference let me know, they're a little different."

"Oh, is that how it works? I though tthat each library had its own manner of organizing. That will help me a lot. Do you want me to start with those books over there?" asked the student as she indicated to a pile behind the desk.

William walked into the library, prefering it's light to the Soceity's dark library.

Wiping a strand of flyaway hair from her face, Kyraa greeted William with a wave and a smile. "Hey there, stranger! How are you this evening?"
Double checking iwth the clock, it was indeed evening. about 11 PM. "Nearly time to go to the 'storage' facility."

Not really, I just stopped in for a bit to ask you if you got "Kitsune Weekly" delievered here? After I moved to the church, I didn't get a chance to renew my subscription." He said slightly embarassed.
And how are you doing, Kyraa? Are you working for Ms. Cryllia now?

"Actually," Cryllia smiled "We just started ordering it last week, I believe we got our first copy in today! Just a moment and I'll go check."
She runs to the back room, and allows the friends to catch up a bit, while she searched among the new books and such.

"Ah, they're just fine! I work for St. Cryllia now, so I'm excited about that, and I get the feeling I'll see you more often, now, too!" Kyraa smiled and glanced at her watch again. Nearly midnight. She will need to go to the Basement door soon
"How are you? Anything interesting going on?"
