twisted They were being played in mainstream music and they were, in NO way, mainstream. That was the first interesting thing. Secondly, the middle east/ ferugian (sp?) scale kicked a**. You don't hear that much in the US. Mostly I love the ******** craziness of it all. It just kicks a**. twisted

I love SOAD cuz well... it's a very funny story. I was not that small. But yes I was like 11 or 12 and well I started listening to system and I loved the way they express there feelings in the songs. it was very exotic... But like they say in toxcicity... But just one pogo stick. lol. I'm just kidding with that one. I love you Serj Tankian!!!

The way that I got into System of a Down was that I was into the poser rock bands like Simple Plan and some others. So one morning I was sitting down watching MTV and I saw the soldiers marching and then one of the most kick a** guitar riffs just busted my freakin mind and et was B.Y.O.B. so from that I was hooked and every time I hear one of their songs I smile and the rage and politicalness just boils out of me and makes me feel good.

Well I had my reasons for liking them in the beginning which I most likely posted before, but the thing that keeps me listening to their songs over and over again is that I just love trying to figure out what they mean, like it's some kind of puzzle. Also, I just sit there blown away from the fact that there was so much I didn't know about the world and I need to learn. Listening to them is part of my thank-you for making me open my eyes.

Dingus_Khan Whats the first thing that interested you in System of a Down verses other bands, this is your chance to just blab about their greatness. I thought it was their political challenging lyrics and their sweet a** style ditto
