I'm Irish. If only Irish people were celebrating Halloween, I'd be very lonely, 'cause not many of my friends are Irish. ;_;

XxLpuTheoryxX PoppyDadswell ok,we irish love our paddy's day and halloween but hate when we other countries celebrating our customs,particularally the americans.surely americans have their own traditions and customs other than thanksgiving.if foreigners wish to enjoy irish customs they should come to ireland to see them.50% of america cannot be irish-they are american,and 50% of americans with irish descent is impossible-look how tiny ireland is and how huge america is. Umm what the hell are you talking about? Its not impossible for an American to have irish decent! My boyfriend is Irish! His mom is from Ireland. She lived there, grew up there, went to school there, she has an acsent. All of my boyfriends family is in Ireland. It is not a impossible to be an American and Irish. Ever heard of an Irish American? Immigration? Interracial marriages? hmmm....
America is a melting pot. You will find all types of cultures, customs, backgounds, languages and nationalities. Americans also celebrat Cinco de Mayo. Im Mexican and I don't get upset that Americans celebrate my custom. I think its cool. I also beleive that if you get offended that americans are celebrating other customs then you need to grow up. The world is changing and more customs and traditions are being shared with one other and I think that is awesome. If you think certain customs should only be shared with certain people in a certain place then you are closed minded.
Halloween is amazing! Im going to continue to celebrate it whether Ireland likes it or not. If you feel like celebrateing Cinco De Mayo, then go for it!I Love You!

PoppyDadswell the.ugly.duck.girl hey! christianity originated in egypt or something like that (im probably totally wrong) but more than half the world worship it (which is totally sad) so why cant i worship halloween as the bestest vacation ever invented by mankind? and anyhoo my great-great-grandma was irish, so nya xp foo you and your point being? i certain hope that you are not implying that having a irish descendant gives you the right to broadcast how "Irish" you are,because all that means is you are just of irish descent nothing more. O HO HO! look who's TALKING! who's the person who thought she'd stick some f*cking post on the halloween guild, where about 0.111111111111% of the members are actually FULL irish, so that SHE could say, "hey, if you're not irish, *cough* like me *cough* then YOU DONT DESERVE HALLOWEEN!" i hope you burn in the never-ending pit of burning painfullness, where little cookies will torment you with their burning licorish sticks, and forever you will be derived of all that is TRULY halloweenish, like TNBC, and jackolanterns, and candy corn, and not some irish crap that you can come up with! and like hell people are gonna go all the way to fooey ireland just to celebrate halloween when it's a THOUSAND times better in the US! i cant BELIEVE the hypoctritiness of YOU! GRAAAAAAAAAAAAR! you deserve to get apples for halloween! i hope you do!

This has gone past ridiculous. There is no point to get condescending and trying to one up each other. One post about how one does not have a right to celebrate something for their lack of full blood or their religious affiliation. It doesn't matter in the long run, the point is to be a decent person and be accepting of those around you. Aviod oppression. Maybe the meaning has been lost pertaining to customs and perverted by translation and time, but there is no point by spreading ignorance and intolerance. If you wish to better the respect given to such things, it is better to properly educate, not exclude and insult. This behavior is childish.
