Everything was going so fast. Xaldin stood and watched silently as everything transpired. Too fast...too much at once.

I need to be alone for a while... He told himself, and he quickly turned away from them all. "I will return...continue on without me, please." The Lancer told them. He needed to clear his head, and he had a lingering daze from when he passed out from the ship. He needed room...he felt somewhat clostrophobic.

Before they could protest, Xaldin took his leave from the castle. He was also having a lingering fear of getting mawled from Beast. So hiding felt nice about now...

((bleh. I have no dropped Xaldin. He walked off so he will not interfere with anyone else in the rp! SORRY D< ))

Beast's Castle

Realization dawning on his features, Kadaj's brilliant green eyes narrowed as he surveyed Lucrecia, although he meant no harm to the woman. She definitely felt like Mother, all right, but what really, really galled him was that the Aerith woman had lied to him, and that was unacceptable on all levels.

Even though Kadaj was the one who had mistaken her for Mother, that still gave her no right to make him out to be a fool. However, despite his anger at being deceived, the ex-remnant knew that somehow, he had heard Aerith's voice before, and that voice had given him peace. So what had happened, really?

Well, that wasn't so important now, truly. They had found Mother - he had the impression that they had been looking long and hard for her before - and although he didn't quite know what to do with Mother once they found her, he was glad nonetheless. The rest he could figure out later; at least Mother was here.

Bowing slightly, accepting his brother's explanation, Kadaj said, feeling a strange sense of warmth seep through him. "Hello, Mother."

Beast's Castle-Foyer

Lucrecia sighed heavily and ran a hand through her long brown hair. Still trying to figure out what to do with this current scenario.

The younger remnent had bowed and called her mother as well. She was a bit taken aback by that. These two seemed think she was greater then she really was...

Then it dawned on her.

Sephiroth was completely convinced that Jenova was his one, true mother. Jenova, who he viewed as this great entity that would take back the world from the humans. Kadaj and Yazoo were remnants of Sephiroth, they had the same vision of this great mother they just...didn't know who she was.

Instead, they believed her, Lucrecia, to be their mother; her being Sephiroth's birthmother, they must have reconized that somehow.

It made sense now.

Lucrecia wasn't going to turn the two away, no, she couldn't do that. She wanted to try again, and fix the mistake she made with Sephiroth.

She placed a small hand on Kadaj's chin and gently lifted him up and out of his current position. Lucrecia thought she was the last person anyone should be bowing to.

"Hey..." she spoke softly, a small smile playing at her lips, "You don't need to do that...ok?"

Beast's Castle--Foyer

Well, Kadaj seemed to be accepting the truth well enough. It was a given that he be the slightest bit angry with Aerith, but that was not important.

What was important was getting away from this absolutely horrendous group before Yazoo's eyes simply imploded.

A flickered face of digust pulled at the once-remnant porcelain features, but of course, it was only momentary.

"Hey...You don't need to do that, ok?" Aquamarine irises turned back to the group that was his family, pearl-white eyes turning in their socekts. Mother was handeling the situation very well. Wonderful. His Brother submitting to another and lowering his head without the intention of mocking them was a feat by any means.

A sudden scowl tugged at the thin corners of Yazoo's lips, turning them towards the floor. The mild headache from regaining the few memories he had was fading, but the sight of those other people was enough to form another.

"If at all possible, could we move into another corridor? Off to the side, perhaps," the soft voice flowing from scarcely parted lips which moved almost elegantly to form his words. Yazoo looked around at the other group with distate once more, almost as quickly removing it with a light, "Tsk."

In one of the halls in Beast's Castle, attempting to quiet the two down as to not get mauled.

Marluxia was about to walk farther and ask Larxene if she had seen any movements after her empty threat, when Stitch decided to call out even more names. He sighed, not expecting Larxene to follow up with a few more delightful nick-names for whoever was hiding in the shadows.

As soon as she began her little list of swears, the pink haired ex-Nobody couldn't help but shake his head, his palm hitting his face ((*facepalm*)) in an exasperated way.

"I don't believe swearing at the Heartless will do anything but agitate it, Larxene. You too, Stitch." he looked down at the little blue shark-monster-alien-critter, a very slight amused smirk on his lips visible in the light of the torch's flame.

"And the last thing we want is a very furious Wrath or Sloth clawing at us." he added. It was a wild guess, but he wouldn't be surprised if Wrath sprung from the deep, dark, formidable shadows and attempt to maul them into a bloody heap.

Oh, how optimistic of him to think such a thing.

Watching as the tall, dredlocked man disappeared into the shadows in what seemed to be a flickering hope that there would be somewhere to hide, Luxord heaved a sigh and crossed his arms over his chest, giving Shuyin a critical look. "Call me what you want, boy. But there are more important things that we could be doing than sitting around and gobbling like the turkeys we are."

He looked around in a sort of gesture at the entire group, seeing that the separations have been made and some others have already departed the vicinity. The gambler glanced back at the boisterous blonde and gave a little snort, walking toward and ultimately past him to venture up the stairs once more. "If you want out of here, I am sure you will fare fine on your own. You seem perfectly capable."

Beast's Castle - Foyer

Mother's fingers were warm, Kadaj realized as she lifted his chin. They were warm and gentle, like her voice, and the young remnant briefly wondered if that was what all mothers felt like.

"Hey...you don't need to do that...ok?"

Quite surprised and a little taken aback by how...nice she was, Kadaj smiled slightly, a genuine smile that felt strange on him. He supposed he didn't smile very often before. His gaze sliding to Yazoo, he remembered the conversation they had earlier about Lucrecia, and as livid as Kadaj was that Aerith had lied to him, the happiness that finding Mother once again cancelled everything out.

"If at all possible, could we move into another corridor? Off to the side, perhaps,"

Kadaj did not miss the distaste that laced his older brother's words, and simply turned from Mother to nod at him. They had decided earlier that they would separate from the group and take Mother with them, and so it would be.

With a slight nod and a content glance sent to his Mother, Kadaj took her hand impulsively and led her along, careful not to make her stumble, a child-like glee entering his eyes despite their situation. "Come, Mother. Yazoo."

With the Pinky! And Larxene! 8D

Looking up at the Pinky as he spoke, Stitch frowned momentarily at the man's words and came to the conclusion that the Pinky was really, really boring.

Nevertheless, he quietened down, although he kept the list of swear words in his mind for future use. p***k had actually sounded very nice, and even though the tiny thing didn't know what that really meant until he tested it out on real people who weren't Pinky or Larxene, he settled next to the man's foot.

He didn't really bother very much with those Heartless, really, being a little too absorbed in his little world to acknowledge anything much. All that mattered was that he had things to destroy, food to eat, and people to tag along with.

And speaking of food, where was it?!

Beast's Castle-Foyer

Lucrecia allowed herself to by pulled along by the younger remnant.

"Alright, there doesn't seem to be much harm in it..."

She didn't know the castle, but she from what she gathered from the others leaving, it appeared safe to venture off. Beast or not.

The former scientist couldn't help but smile at the two boys infront of her. Kadaj seemed to be just a little boy at heart, and Yazoo, who she had spoken to a few times over the internet, was also kind.

It amazed her that the two actually came from Sephiroth...

...But that didn't matter now. It appeared Lucrecia was getting a second chance...a chance to make things right.

And she was off to a good start.

Beast's Castle--Foyer

Well…Kadaj seemed more than content with the situation. He was extraordinarily childish at times like this, Yazoo noted. A minuscule little smirk slid its way onto his pale expression. It wasn’t sardonic—by no means would he mock his Brother and Mother. It was more his way of a gentle grin.

The older remnant let Kadaj and Mother walk on in front of him, faint footfalls muffled by the naturally light manner of walking Yazoo held. The hem of his overcoat bustled about his ankles as they inevitably made way from the place where they once stood. Spindly little fingers had relaxed away from his gun as his hands swayed back in forth with his steps. His mind had pulled away from the thoughts of danger. They had found Mother, and glee seemed to cover up his typically better sense.

If it were anyone else other than Marluxia, Larxene would have retorted in some kind of acidic reply laden with a swear word or two. But this is Marly, so Larxene simply grins in reply when the man pointed out that their swearing might be dangerous. It has a grain of truth to it anyway, Larxene is not trying to treat Marluxia special or anything, of course not. But Larxene is not exactly one to obey anyway, whether Marluxia is a friend or not. "I rather think that whoever hiding in the darkness is a scaredy-cat~" she says in a mocking voice, directing it more to whatever it is behing the shadows than to Marluxia or Stitch.

Larxene was about to come up with another even more mocking statement when the growling of her stomach interrupted her. The hall was rather silent so she is sure that Marluxia and Stitch heard it too. Her face instinctively goes red as she narrows her eyes in annoyance. "Where is the food, damnit!?" But of course it is the food's fault for not being found by Larxene, it cannot be that she is not looking hard enough, obviously.

Beast's Castle, corridor.

He wore the shadows around him like a cloak, hiding, waiting, sensing. Eyes glinted in the bare light as he moved, catlike, towards his goal. A wicked grin lit up on his expression-- Wrath could smell their uncertainty. It would only be too easy to spill their blood. With a quick motion, heartless forms swirled up from dark portents, surrounding the foul mouthed wench and her accomplices. Drawing himself up, Number Five stepped out of the shadows, eyes glowing an eerie red.

"Well, well, what have we here?"

Stiffening at the smell of darkness and the imminent forms of Heartless that now surrounded them, Stitch growled loudly, baring all his teeth even as he cocked his little ray guns.

The little summon wasn't afraid; not really. He was virtually indestructible - well, unless someone dropped him in a large pool of deep water, but chances were that the cantankerous critter wasn't quite about to let any of them near him - with a very bad temper to boot.

And he was hungry.

No one messed with a very hungry alien-evil koala-shark-puppy thing and his bumbling humans.

Scuttling in front of the pair, Stitch stared up at the most human-looking arrival. It was difficult trying to be intimidating when one was less than a foot tall, really.

~

Not too far away from Larxene and Marluxia

His superior senses already picking up the presence of more people not too far away from them, Kadaj paused for a moment and glanced over at Yazoo fleetingly. No words were needed to communicate his silent warning, and the younger of the pair let go of his mother's hand - more than a little reluctantly, considering how long they probably spent looking for her.

"Get behind us, Mother," he whispered as he heard a voice speaking. "Well, well, what have we here?"

Brilliant green eyes narrowing at the voice, Kadaj gestured to Yazoo to move forward - shying away from potential confrontation was not what the brothers were used to, anyway - a hand on Souba in case anything went wrong and he needed to kill alot of somethings.

Lucrecia watched as her sons moved forward toward an unknown enemy. Biting her lower lip she moved back further, she was going to heed Kadaj's words and stay back. If she made herself noticeable, chances are she could be attacked and killed, Lucrecia had no skills when it came to weaponry...

She wasn't found of death....for obvious reasons.

Shaking her head lightly, Lucrecia forced her mind to focus on the problem at hand.

Could he be one of the...Septsinian..?

She was told about the heartless and the powerful six called the Septsinian, by Xeryim. Vincent had mentioned some things to her about heartless and nobodies, and after reading the return of that "Sora" on the message boards; she was beginning to line the pieces up.

"Be careful..." was all she could whisper to the two. If these Septsinian were so strong they coul--no. She shouldn't worry about them.

They looked more then capable.

Larxene draws her chin up proudly while raising one of her eyebrows just as slightly at the person who stepped out from the shadows. She knows that the person cannot be anyone other than a Heartless, and that she ought to be very scared about him being there, but she's not going to let anyone know that Larxene is scared.

Before she could retort with some kind of sarcastic comment however, Marluxia's new pet started baring his formidable yet comical teeth up at the Heartless. Larxene thinks the teeth thing is kind of cute, really, as long as the alien thing is not baring them at her. Besides, the little thing seems to be more useful than she herself would be in battle, not that she would admit it. "Getting ugly black thingies to surround us is not the proper way of greeting a guest, you know." Larxene wonders if she can get something to use as a weapon.
