I'm Purity, I'm 16 and I'm American. I'm new (I guess) to the Jrock scene but not to Asian films or Japan in general. My uncle teaches Chinese at a University and my dad is a big Miyazaki fan so I always had something asian around me.

Fave bands (currently): Dir en grey, Miyavi, and I'm starting to get into Utada Hikaru and Gazette.

Fave movies: Any samurai movie, especially Sanjuro or Yojimbo, Zatoichi, etc. and I LOVE Onmyoji! Abe no Seimei roxerz my soxerz!! umm lolz I also liked House of Flying Daggers from what little of it I saw and I also enjoy traditional theater (Noh and Kabuki etc.) there's this one film I saw but can't remember the name of it for the life of me, I think it's Pyrokenesis or something, but that was a good movie too.

Anime/Manga: I love Ruroni Kenshin, Deathnote (can't wait to see the movie!!), Buso Renkin, Black Cat, D-Gray Man, anything Miyazaki touches turns to gold so all of his stuff, the old Pokemon stuff was good (Shut up, I know it's cheesey...), lots of Yaoi stuff, Sensual Phrase, Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho, may I go on or is this good for now?

I actually watch the Japanese news station in the morning when I get a chance because it's better than the political crap that's going on over here (it's FCI or Fujisankei)

Video games: Final Fantasy 3/6, 7, 9 and 11 ROCK! I love Kingdom Hearts I & II (SquareEnix is japanese so it counts!...kinda...) Silent Hill and Resident Evil too, and I hope that they count.
