The japanese are very good at it, but the american voice actors are AWFUL. There is a simular character in Fruit basket (argh...can't remember his name) but he dresses in girls clothes all the time and people think he's a girl. In the japaense one his voice was just feminine enough for it to be either male or female, but japanese anime standards. But the american voice actor was obviously at man....and putting on a high pitched squeaky voice pretending to be a girl....and it made you cringe! The fact is in Japan they voice actors follow the character, and learn about it, and get into character....and they pic people who they think does justice to the characters through auditions. I mean, Yuki's voice was done by a girl in the japanese fruit basket because he is a very quiet and delicate character, and a girl can pull off a character like that. Also their range is HUGE! I'm mean the fact that japanese Ryuchi from Gravitation is the Japanese Inyuasha! I was like eek I agree with everything you said about Raito! Prehaps Misa should have a powerful/brattishly evil side to her too. um, yesh, prehaps perverted for L...but he'd I think....OH!! I REMEMBER!! kinda like a male Haruhariko from FLCL (american) he's sound like that!!!!

LimOfFragReality Ritsu's his name. I remember twitching when I heard his English voice... but tried to just ignore it and focus on Ritsu's cuteness... *luffs Ritsu* sweatdrop I know...me too!! I still to this day will only watch that episode in japanese (that's the great thing about DVD's) but....my heart broke when my favorite character....Momiji...my little cute blonde german bunny boy, voice was a woman....JUST A WOMAN! She didn't even TRY to make him sound even slightly like a boy! I mean I know he's young, and maybe it is a good idea to have his voice done by a woman...but please....some effort ....my little heart...I almost cries!! sad domokun to english dub and domokun domokun to American cartoon voice actors....
