He looked at her. "Why did you say that?" He asked, wondering why she had said that. "And do you actually believe it. Because if you do, then you might as well quite now." He said as he sat down to finish off his tea. This girl actually interested him for some reason. He quickly checked through his mind of the things he would need for tonight.

Lifting his head, the youth smirked to his prisonmate's defense. In another instant he was saddened though, at the thought of what their reaction would probably be. They most likely wouldn't kill him there, to get their satisfaction of a 'justified' execution. But there were still unpleasant things they could do that he himself felt stinging across his newly torn flesh. The guard that grasped him began to lead him towards where his cell would be, Tax's feet clumsily trying to at least keep up. As he was led the only thing he felt he could do was think, involving a thought that crossed his mind about the violet-haired one's words. He figured that while certainly not of ill intention, he was not all that he appeared to be.

With grim disdain, an officer snarled an order to those attempting to collect Chrono.
"Anything he does to you...give unto him tenfold. Anything so that we do not have to waste more restraints on him."
Donning maniacal grins, the brutes turned to their captive with rejevenated vigor. Anything they could do to get him to go quietly...and do anything they would.

"I want to get tougher. I need to. There are people who depend on me. People who expect things from me, and I can't just sit back and whine about my past, no matter how much I may hate and cry over it. I know Chrono's alive, and I know my little brother is alive, and I swear when I find the bastards that started this I'm going to ******** castrate them with a bunt object!" Rosette yelled standing up and holding her fist out triumphantly. Well.... At least she had a goal in mind, no matter how horrible the visual might be.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Chrono was able, amazingly, to hold his own for a while ust by kicking and headbutting anyone who tried to subdue him. If anyone not interested in either sides safety was to watch this, they probably would have found such a fight rather hilarious. Chrono, on the other hand, was more interested in not getting the snot beaten out of him, or worse...

"Gah!" Chrono let out in surprise as he felt someone tug on the end of his blade, causing him to fall back.... and right into the short blade of a dagger.

"I got him!" His attacker announced triumphantly, just before Chrono twirled around, dislodging the dagger, and tripped the man. He'd barely been on the ground for more than a second when Chrono brought his foot down on his windpipe, crushing it with horrifying ease.

Blood oozed from the open wound in his back, his strength lessening with each drop. Chrno drooped and fell to his knees, panting as those he had not put down as came at him roughly tugging at his hair, clothes, and restraints as they dragged him and threw him into the cell they prevously thrown the other boy into.

"Ah!" Chrono cried out as he landed on the injured part of his back.

"We should kill 'em now! You saw what he did to him!"

"Yeah, but just look at the whelp now. He snuffed our guys fast, but he's going to die, slowly and painfully. If anything, we can come and check on him once and a while, and open up the wound a bit. Make sure he actually DOES bleed to death on there. That way none of these other scumbags don't get any heroic ideas..."

Hmmm, this girl deffinately has spirit. I have to give her that. He thought to himself. "Good, I'll hold your word to that.... Well, except for the whole casteration part." He said. "And since you are so sure that he is alive, then you'll be seeing him in the morning. He looked at Blaise. "So, I think we should head out now and get Chronos now since we both have a lot of work to do tomorrow and we should get at least some rest before we have to do those things." He said as he stood up. He went to a cupboard and opened it up. Soon, daggers and other various equipment was seen coming out of the locker but quickly dissappearing into his clothing. Some of them even seemed to melt into his clothes and forearms. The last piece he put on was his claymore, which hung off his waist. "Well, I'm ready." He said as he closed the cupboard doors.

"Well, in that case is it good enough to wish you the best of l-"

Rosette's eyes suddenly went wide, and stumbled forward, falling to the floor without so much as a squeak. Her hands came out of her pockets, the right releasing a thick piece of metal in the shape of a hexagon, and engraved with may small and foreign symbols. And through the thick cloth of the coat, Blaise and Khnui could easily see a dark spot of red forming at the bottom of her back...

Having been slumped in a corner of the dark cell, he was struck to attention at the appearance of the wounded and his eyes shifted in alarm. When the guards discovered what a challenge Chrono turned out to be, the one that escorted Tax decided to bind his hands with rope in case he tried to help his prisonmate again. Otherwise, he could tell that they were unconcerned of him at the present moment and would wait for his 'trial' and execution until the other had met his end. Staying quiet and still until the officers shut the heavy door behind them, he then inched his way over to Chrono and leaned to him with a frantic whisper.

"Friend! Where did they cut you?"

Having caught the knowledge of the wound, he seemed to ignore or not care of the suggestion to not have any heroic ideas. He would not let his companion bleed to death before him if he could help it...

"...M-My back." Chrono replied through clenched teeth.

'Rosette! She's going to be in pain! SHe'll be hurt! Damn all this. Rosette, please be alrihgt!'Chrono thought frantically. He had no idea where she was, or if was alone, or if she was safe. He silently prayed for the best, despite the bleak situation.

"All right..."

Looking down, he noticed a growing red puddle around the side where Chrono lay. Hurriedly with bound wrists Tax nudged the injured to rest on his stomach before crunching over to rip the hem of his own shirt.

"I'll hold pressure to the wound to slow the flow of bleeding, but you need to keep your mind from the pain as best you can. Focus on a steady breath, deeply in and out, without letting it lull you into unconsciousness. I may not be able to wake you up."

Taking his teeth to tear the fabric as well, when he felt he had a good strand he pressed it against the cut as if he were attempting to keep a dam from breaking. Then to encourage the other, Tax delved into what sounded like one of his own mantras for living.

"The throes of concentration can make you indestructable. Surrender only to the will of what you most desire, and it shall surrender itself to you. Tell yourself that this wound is not worthy of your death..."

With his hair falling around his face, he began to breathe deeply himself to achieve a calmed state.

"...But talk to me, so I know that you haven't died."

Firmly he kept his press on the wound, and vowed that he would not ease until his hands themselves were stricken from him.

"...Rosette..." Chrono said weakly, his breath barely stirring up the dirt near his face."She'll.... She'll feel this too. She'll be hurt... I promised her I'd keep her safe. I...I can't die yet! I haven't fulfilled my promise to her! I-I can't die yet!"

Chrono struggled to sit up, on the rest his head back in the dir again. He wanted to stand, but didn't have the strength to do so.

Riana ran as fast as she could, both of her long knives lfashing dully in her hands. Dodging through the trees she was remarkably shure footed in the wet and slippery conditions, which was just as well because after what she had just seen she needed to hurry.

Finnaly, gasping for breath she reached the FF village and skidded to a stop before Khnui's door. Not bothering to knock she burst into the room, soaked and windblown, water dripping from every crevace of her cloathing. Her eyes locked onto Blaise first, just so she could have somewhere to start. "I ran ahead of the Task Force," she winced as she said it but went on in a rush, "I know, stupid, I don't care, I needed something to do and if anything you will be glad I did it, so shut it for a moment and let me talk." With a huge breath she continued, and began to act out what had happened, unconciously whirling around the weaponms still clenched in her hands.

"I found the boy, the purple haired one, in a transport almost a mile from here with another on their way to BrokenOak. I followed for a bit, stupid I know, let it go, but stalking's my specialty. There are eight gaurds, including the horse hustler and at least one of them is a captain, and purple whats his face is bleeding to death from a stab wound obtained through a valiant resistance of arrest. They won't make it much longer, especially if they keep acting up and we have to go now." Before she went on in further detail her eyes found Rosette on the floor, blood pooling from her back.

"Bollocks," she murmered at Rosette with incredulous eyes. "Bollocks, how did you manage that?! Thats the same spot the boy got it. What sort of friends are you?" She realized she was still armed and sheathed the knives hurridly. She ran her slender fingers through her black spikes of hair and blew out a low whistle. "Blaise, she can't go but we have to. Whats the plan?" Blaise was ranked higher than she was and if it was up to anyone it was her so Riana waited pateintly gripping tight to the hilts of her twin long knives.

He coaught Rosette before she hit the ground. He searched for the wound and found it. He was about to treat it when Raise burst in. He listened to what she had to say since she didn't give him much of a choice. He looked at the stone. So, thats what this is. He thought to himself. "I'll go and get Chrono. Blaise, treat her wounds." He said as he handed her his vial. "Just a small drop right in the wound should do it. But you both will need to hold her down because it will burn like hell." He said as he stood up and went to his door. When he was by Raise, he said. "And next time, knock please." He was then out the door. He then took off running, especially since Broken Oak was a ways away. If he guessed right, the stone was a connection between Rosette and Chrono whereas they could find each other within a certain distance. The down side to it is if one of them gets hurt, so does the other. If that is the case, then the healing salve should also heal Chrono. At least, that was his theory. He wouldn't know for sure until one of them told him.

He soon found himself outside the walls of Broken Oak. He looked at it, remembering the layout of the prison. He waited for a gaurd to pass before he scaled it using specialized gloves that had spikes sewn into the leather, which gripped the wall much like how a spider climbs a wall. Within the prison walls, he quickly made his way into where the heavily gaurded prisoners were. Since by Raise's report, that is where they would keep him. He saw three gaurds talking to each other. Throwing a smoke pellet, he charged underneath the cloak of the smoke and killed the three gaurds. Unfortunately, none of them were carrying keys. He wanted to do this quietly, but he wouldn't be able to do that without the keys. Shrugging his shoulders, he quickly checked the cells to see where Chrono was. Smiling when he found him and another prisoner. He checked the lock, it was too heavy for his lockpicks to work and too small for him to use his daggers. He would need to go and find the keys, but he needed to see if Chrono was ok. So he popped his head back into view. "Don't worry, I'm with the Forest Fugitives. I just need to know how you guys are doing." He said quietly, since the last thing he needed was the whole prison souding the alarm.

"I've been better." Chrono said quietly. "T-The bald man... he has the keys. He took them after I killed the first! AH!" Chrono twisted his head to the side a bit in pain. "...Rosette..."

Chrono shuts his eyes, trying to take a few deep breaths as is Prisonmate had instructed.

"AH!" Rosette suddenly twisted around, curling up against the pain from her sudden wound.

The persistent flow of blood felt warm and thick beneath his hands, and he was sure that if he lifted them they would be stained by the liquid immensely. But his hold was secure, even as Chrono struggled and failed to raise himself. Tax did not want it to seem like he was pushing his prisonmate down, he just had to keep the cut as closed as possible. To maintain contact with him, he implored Chrono to continue on his sentiment. At first he was confused on what he meant, but just assumed that his Rosette would be hurt by his loss.

"Tell me more about Rosette. Tell me of what makes her special."

Hearing commotion outside of the cell, he whipped his head towards the door to see someone inbetween the bars of the window. Not a guard...Fugitive Forester? His eyes dialated slightly as he focused his attention back to the bleeding Chrono, but not before eyeing the man with secrecy.

"He's bleeding badly. If you're here to help him, you must make haste."

"She's my friend... I've know her for so song...my reason for living, she gave me back my life. I was dead without her. Now I'm hurting her." Chrono said sadly. "Because of the choice she made, I know she's suffering..."

Chrono coughed loudly, but fortunately, there were no flecks of blood. Hopefully, the wound was not as bad as it seemed.

He nodded at Chrono and dissappeared from their sight. He quickly went through where the gaurds were normally posted. He didn't see any bald man so he figured the man would be in the barracks. He made his way to the barracks, only having to kill two gaurds. He snuck inside the barracks, making sure to stay quiet so as not to wake anybody up. He found the bald man sound asleep with the keys cluched firmly in his hands. He sighed as he pulled out a dagger, slitting the man's throat. The grip loosened and he grabbed the keys, cluching them so that they wouldn't jingle. He then made his way back to the cell, moving more quickly since it shouldn't take long for them to discover the bodies. When he got back to the cell, he unlocked it and went to Chrono. Bending down to unlock all of the chains, cutting the rope of the other man when he was done. "Can you walk Chrono?' He asked, contnuing before Chrono gave him the strange look he knew he would recieve. "Rosette wouldn't train unless she knew you were safe." He said as he looked at all of the bloodloss. In his hurry, he had forgotten to bring another vial. He hoped his theory was true or Chrono may not last. He reached into his shirt and pulled out the first aid kit he always brought just for emergencies. "Here friend, use these." He said. These bandages had been soaked in the salve, but it wouldn't be as effective. It would still work better then the man using his hands.
