Well, the necklace was the first thing I did on this costume, and I made it out of Fimo clay. You can get it at any local craft store like JoAnn's, and you mold it then bake it and paint it. The only problem is its a.) too big and b.) a little heavier than was prefered. When I started making the wig and other accessories months later my friend told me about the wonders of Crayola Model Magic. You can find that stuff at like Target and its really light and flexible when it dries. Yes, since its made for kids it comes in one use packages and dries within 24 hours. Which means once you open a package you have to finish working with it. Once it's dry it takes paint really well, and with some super glue you can easily fix on jewelry hooks. Its nice and light, I loved it. Its definitely my new secret weapon to accessories.

*takes notes* Sorry I'm asking so many questions...but what kind of paint did you use?
I think I'll be going on a huge shopping spree at JoAnn's if my grandma still has her sewing machine...I usually sew by hand, but for a full costume I know I won't be able do that so the threads don't come loose. sweatdrop That, and I know I'm not that committed to making something by hand for so long xp

I haven't ever done it, but its really pretty easy to make. All you'd really need to do is find patterns for the skirt, button up shirt, vest, and jacket. Those are pretty easy to find. Its not like you're talking about doing the Celestial version like my friend did, there's no pattern for that.
It should be really easy to make, you shouldn't have to buy it heh. And besides, all the girls who've put it together from bought pieces never got it accurate enough. One girl had a velvet skirt ugh >_< Unless you don't care about accuracy...

Once my mom gets back (she has the working sewing machine) I can start making my costume!

I think I'm going to try cosplaying for Halloween. I don't really know who to be though, I have the same color eyes an hair as Alice, but my hair is a little longer and I dont want to cut it. Miaka might also work, but both her an Alice are thinner than me... ninja

My uniform is done... But I bought the wrong color for the bow. I feel stupid. My friend told me red when it was blue. (I was tired after three tests in one day when shopping and called for help) I finally figured out it was blue... I hate myself... and there was a cosplaying store in jpantown and I didn't know that till my friend told me to day... HOW LAME! But maybe, I can get my blue bow!

surprised That's cute! I wore a Shinto Priestess outfit so a lot of people thought I was cosplaying as Kikyo from Inuyasha ^^;; I twas actually for a project presentation I had to do that day but it all fit in nicely since it was Halloween. Plus the hakama were so comfortable, I'd worn them to bed the night before xp
I really need to go buy some fabric, and I still need to ask my grandma if she has her sewing machine...plus she needs to teach me soooo...yeah.
I'll probably keep saying this until I finally go to my first con (preferably AX) but I will go next summer! I should have my permit at least by then so my mom (or dad, depends who I'm staying with during that time) can't b***h about having to take me back home so late xd I'll probably end up staying at a hotel or something anyway, if by some chance in heaven they let me. Which probably means I'll have to organize a group to go with...but I'm not close friends with any of the anime people at school stressed This'll take some planning...

You could always drag a friend who likes anime, not total maniac (I have a trusty friend for that!)
