Yahiko_Meoshine *Yawn* It seems that Orcs are the race that is least played. probably becuase they need to redo the codex. or most of the guild is too lazy to paint orks.

I'm thinking of playing orks after I finish up my Daemonhunter army. Why? Well for one they're almost a completely different playing style (both are more assault based but that's about it) and I just like a lot of their story and back history. That and they're orks, who doesn't love acting like da boyz every now and then wink I've borrowed the codex and have been looking it over and I just like how they work. I'm kinda excited since they don't get the attention they deserve. One of my friends who now plays mostly Khorne said he had started out with orks and has almost always regretted selling his old ork army.

Orks are a pretty interesting force, although a lot of people I know don't play them simply because of the forced sillyness. Their idea of orks are the LotR orks.
I've thought about using a Speed Freeks list, since from what I've seen and been told from talking to Ork players they're the only list that actually stands a chance against the super-shooty armies of V.4.
Digga Speed Freeks anyone?

yea the orks are my favorite army.
i love the fluff, and i enjoy reading it (even though there isnt much ork fluff in any recent white dwarf).
the speed freaks are good, but you need to watch out because they are fragile. your whole army is based on armor 10 fast vehicles (unless you take a battle wagon, which is expensive, and you can only have one.) its good to take a looted vehicle for some good fire support (i like the bassilisk for speed freaks), and in your burna squads make sure you get a mek with kustom force field, because that all glancing rule helps alot with all of your armor 10 vehicles. another way to take a force field is with a deth kopta with a big mek in it (im also pretty sure that these dont count as vehicles, but units with jump packs, so you can hide them behind your trucks while they are protecting them).
one thing my friend liked to do was get a squad of burnas in a truck and do drive-by burning to all of the enemies infantry. bery annoying tactic but it seemed to work pretty well.

Yahiko_Meoshine Orcs are funny and rather easy to beat...They don;t give my Eldar a challenge at all...It was just funny seeing a mass of Gretchn' run after my Striking Scorpions and every last one of them get cleaved in two without taking a single wound on my Aspect Warriors. That's what grots are there for. They were probably trying to distract your Scorpions from something more important. They're also good for holding up big gribblies like dreadnoughts and wraithlords. I really should build an orky army one of these days, the only trouble is that my humor is more Nurgle humor than Orky humor.

yea grots are awsome.
30 grots and a slaver for 99 points. you only need 20 to stop a wraithlord or a dread for the rest of the game, and you can stop a normal unit for a few turns also.
and i love nurgle, ive got a 1850 point nurgle army, they are a great choice, but i cant wait till i finish painting all my orks.

I played orks for 40k, and now I play them for fantasy, and they are so much fun, the best army in my opinion.
I was rather limited in my funding, so I had to do a lot of proxy work on them, but I just kinda glued all sorts of extra pieces all over a group of normal boys and called them Nobs, and make a body guard for my warboss, piled them into a wartruck and swished them across the board, letting my other squads of boys take hits the whole time. xD
I managed to beat Tau a few times, and Guard and tyranids, but I never played a whole lot with them in 40k. I just started fantasy and have about 1400 points to mess with, so I hope it's just as fun.
