(ooc: ok still confused but meh)  Lana smirked gently, "I doubt you would have astronomy books" she got off the desk, "besides how long do you expect to stay in Gotham? I thought it was just to supervise and the gala, and then you'd leave it to the scientists" she paused, "besides...Mr. Wayne just gives me this weird vibe, like he can tell that you are lying" she blushed a bit, "silly I know"

"Well do we have any need to be lying?" Lex questioned in a philisophical way. "We will be completely honest, and what ever Mr. Wayne doesn't know won't hurt him any more." Lex sipped his Brandy. "I plan on staying in Gotham long enough to get my business done, and to convince Reynard that im not my deciteful Father. You don't need to stay as long as I do if you don't want. If you have a class to come back to i will understand."

Lana smiled softly, "I'm in no rush to get back" she paused, "any idea why Renard is like that though?" (ooc: I think after one more reply from lex we should go to a different character...either jimmy and chloe, or clark entering the GIB or Wayne and Katelyn...)

"Caution is the only reason." Lex whipped his hand against his smooth head as though he had some sort of virtual hair there. "The institution is the only thing he has to fall back on after Swann's death. He wants it to be the best possible. These kids live with a disability, but that doesn't mean they can't solve the problems of the world." Lex put both his hands on Lana's shoulders and looked her straight in the eyes. "These kids deserve everything we have despite what they lack...." He let his arms slip down "who knows, maybe we are the ones with the disability." Lex turned around and walked towards his desk. "But hear me out, i will do what ever it takes to get Reynard to trust me despite his previous history with my father. You of all people should know im not my father"

(finally have an idea...at least for lana I hope this thread hasn't died neutral )
Lana came to his side placing her hand on his on the desk, "I know you aren't you father Lex" she said softly, "and I am sure you can get Mr. Reynard to understand that too, you have a talent for getting people to see your point of view" she paused, "I hope caution is the only reason he has to mistrust you"

"I can't think of any other reason why he can't" Lex said with confidence. He walked over to Lana and placed his hand on her shoulders like he always does when he is looking for serious feedback. "Lana I share everything with you. Can you think of any reasons, other then my father, that would cause this hesitation? I really hope that I can get through to Reynard, he is a very powerful, intellectual, and philosophical man. Anything that I say he will lock in the confines of his cranium and run it through his head, taking in every wrong word that I say, and filtering every little thing I say that he could possibly use against me.... He wants to hate me. This is one man I have to be extremely cautious with in return. To think, I only want to fund one of his research wings" He said with a faint smile. He let go of Lana's shoulders, hoping that she could feel the weight that he had transfered to her.

Lana looked at Lex his was trully worried, she touched his hand as he let go, "you once told me that Mr. Kent was looking for a reason to hate you and you managed to get him to if not like you then not hate you" she smiled genuinely, "what would get Mr. renard's attention, I think actions speak louder than anything we could say"
(thanks chloe for showing me the thread is not dead...let see what the journal team is doing shall we? oh and PS Lex can talk to Renards daughter, he would know she is a resident)
Jimmy adjusted the strap on his camera case for the last time when the mail cam to their level and something was tossed on chloe's desk.

Clark walked into the French Doors of the basement office and saw Jimmy swooning at Chloe. He casually walked over, "Hey guys, what's new?" he asked, then he slapped his hand on Jimmy's shoulder like his father used to do. "How was that meeting with Ms. Kahn? Chloe told me you bolted so fast at the sound of her name she said you could have outrun a speeding bullet." he said with a wink in Chloe's direction despite the look of distaste on her face. "So what's new with the developments, anything?"

Jimmy was snapped out of his daydreaming at Clark's question. A faint blush appeared on his cheeks of embarassment, "Khan lectured me on ettiquet for the big do in Gotham, said if I ever want to keep my job here however light it may become I better make sure to get some quality shots even if I have to smuggle the camera in..." he paused, "I don't know what got her so wound up, seems like she is putting all her chips on me and Chloe on this one" he looked at the envelope that was tossed on chloe's desk..."whats the deal with the extra piece of mail Chloe? don't tell me Khan has lost her sences and is promoting you?" he teased.

 Bruce started his morning routine like every day. He did a couple of sit ups and push ups, drink a healthy smoothie, shower, breakfast, and climbed in his limbo. "Gotham Institute please" He told the driver. As his limbo drove by street thugs and drug dealers he shook his head in embarrassment on what Gotham has been becoming to. Little did the criminals know, he had a different view at night. ((Hopefully that was a good intro for me if you think I should redo it or I messed up his current location tell me))
