I saw that episode the week it came out, and I have to tell you - I squee'd like the fangirly-girl I really am when I saw Sasuke and the foreshadowing of his Part 2 clothes.
Argh - what is it with Orochi and robes, anyway? The only nice Sound Village I've ever seen is Kin's.

I just saw that episode actually, and my opinion on it is that Sasuke really couldn't answer her feelings at that moment. Notice how he calls her "Sakura"? No suffix attached? And he says "Thank you." He could have just knocked her out, without saying a word and left her there. So, I think that he does have a bit of feelings for her. Maybe not love [ yet ] but he does care for her as a important friend. Like many people said before me, why would Sasuke take someone he cares for with him, if they'll only end up getting hurt...
Or at least I'd like to think that way ... ♥

It just occurred to me right now...
When Sakura had asked him if he remembered the first time he called her annoying (it was around the first few episodes), Sasuke had said he didn't.
Was I the only one who felt that when he said "You really are annoying." (or something along the lines), that it was his way of saying that he really did remember?

Was I the only one who felt that when he said "You really are annoying." (or something along the lines), that it was his way of saying that he really did remember?

tenshinohana-chan I think it's the scene that practically screams, "SasuSaku forever!" I mean really. I think it's the one that stamped the Naruto series with a "SasuSaku" seal.

During the moment, Sasuke tells her that he didn't remember the time he called her annoying. After she said she was going to scream if he didn't come back(Or so I think) He said that she was 'still annoying' again which means that sasuke remember the moment. He just acted like he didn't care! Then he said thank you for all the things she had done for him as in he cared! ........then knocked her out and left her on the bench all night.... stare
