SmexyLori: Asa'nunu paused in her slow procession down the bank of the river, glancing back at her family. She noticed U'yosi and Asegi wandering off on their own. Then noticed they'd left her daughter behind, and growled softly. How dare he leave their daughter alone, to fend for herself? Did he expect her to take care of the cub? U'yosi expected everything of her. She whirled, preparing to go loosen her tongue on the idiotic male, then thought better of it. It wouldn't kill her to take Tsi'lihu along, at least for a while. "Tsi'lihu!" She called, pausing to lick her paw clean. "Come along, U'yosi needs some.." The young lioness trailed off, thinking of a proper word. "Father-son time with your brother." It still infuriated her that her mate had just thrown Tsi'lihu off on her, and she made a note to talk with him later about it.
Darku Angel: The snow white cub was watching her father and brother pad off, head tilted to one side before it drifted off in another direction, where a small grasshopper was resting; taking most of her attention. She watched quietly as the creature moved and rubbed its hind legs together. They had left her alone. Not that she minded, quite the oposite... the less others were around her, the less the need to talk, or even think of talking.
However, her mother's voice snapped her out of her dream, and Tsi blinked as she focused her emerald gaze upon the larger lioness. She didn't ask anything, she simply smiled slightly and padded slowly towards her mother, keeping her distance, focussing her attention on the clear water, the soft sounds it made calming her.
SmexyLori: Asa smiled softly, waiting until her daughter had come close enough to walk beside her, and started down along the river. It wasn't chance that she didn't mind her daughter being around, Tsi was a quiet cub and wasn't constantly wanting her affections. It gave the lioness a chance to think, because for once her thoughts didn't immediately turn to the Clan. She thought of Aya'tas. She didn't feel as if she were betraying U'yosi thinking of him, her mate never once said he loved her since the Long Journey. Why should she stay faithful to him? The tug of memories reminded her, she'd promised to be his mate for life. Such thoughts confused her, and she frowned, glancing to her daughter. To be a cub again, and watching the lionesses hunting, that was what she wanted. Too much had been forced upon her, all at once.
Darku Angel: Poor Tsi could have no idea what bothered her mother, allthough she knew something was there disturbing her. She may have not been talkative, but she was rather observant, and the way her mater padded along... the emptyness in her eyes; her mother was missing a piece of her. It was as if the older female was no longer complete; a part of her was missing.
Tilting her head to one side, the cub gave her mother one of her rare slow smiles, closing her eyes briefly. She was one of the few with whom she could comunicate with few words... she liked that
SmexyLori: The pale furred femme warmed at her daughter's smile, her head dropping as she padded along. Was it selfish, to want to be with Aya'tas? It wasn't that she didn't care for her Clan, but they reminded her of the past. It was like a cloud over her thoughts, being around her family. But most of all U'yosi. She snuffed at the ground, smelling the impala herd still nearby. She had no energy to bring down another impala, even if she wanted to. Lions were known to be lazy beasts a great deal of the time, and Asa was no different. But thinking of Aya'tas brought her to remembering they would be on the move tomarrow.
Asa loved wandering the Ela' lands, and so was excited to be on the move, even besides being able to see Aya. The Long Journey became a thing of the past when she was loping through the grasses, and able to meet with the other lions and lionesses, who had gone through the same thing. Who'd been destroyed as much as her. It was a comfort to know she wasn't alone.
Darku Angel: As they padded on, the cub's gaze drifted off to the horizon. Moving. moving on... they always moved on and on; it was their way of life, for as long as she remembered. Again, it wasn't that she minded, not at all... but there were times, that as she walked, she'd close her eyes, her paws touching the ground as she followed her grownups... however, her mind wasn't there, it wasn't in the task at hand; it was far off, a long way away, only the gods knew where... and as she walked, the cub would smile her 'secret' smile. A smile lions only smile when they hold a secret dear to them that no one else knows about. Tsi held a secret like that... or so she liked to think, for the moment she closed her eyes, she no longer was with her parents, and there was no more pain filling the air. The sorrow was gone, and it only left air that felt like liquid laughter all around her, and such a though soothed her.
She had learnt over time that comunicating with others was hard, for they not always said what they wanted to say... or they lied... or they said something that that right and wrong at the same time; it confussed her deeply. And little by little, she had built a strong wall around herself, keeping to her thoughts, for inside them, she felt safe.
SmexyLori: Asa kept her eyes to the ground before her, letting her thoughts drift away from her. At times like these she was tired of mourning, of always living in the past, she didn't want to think about anything at all. It was easy, lulling her mind into believing all it needed to do was move her paws forward. That was why she really loved being nomadic, even if she wasn't going to see the other Clans. The steady movement of her muscles With a start she realized that her daughter was still walking beside her, and she paused. The adolescent lioness was thirsty, and she nodded her head towards the river.
Scanning the riverbank for predators, she made a slow decent down to the river, long pink tongue reaching out and lapping up the cool water. "Do you like moving like this all the time, Tsi'lihu?" She finally asked, breaking the silence. It felt odd, taking an interest in her daughter's life, after ignoring them for so long. But she was Clan, after all, and a happy Clan was less likely to fall apart.
Darku Angel: Blinking, the cub raised her gaze to match her mother's, pondering the question over, "It's not a bad life," was her almost silent answer as she too lowered her head, her pink tongue dipping inside the river to scoop up the water. After she was sattisfied, she moved away from the banks by pure instinct and sat down, waiting for Asa. Finally, after a longer while, Tsi smiled, "We meet many others," this said, she gazed off towards the distance again. Yes, others... many others that knew how to really talk... how to tell stories of long lost lands; others whom were diferent, others whom were not clan either. Surely there had to be others beside them. The young cub wasn't sure, but she somehow knew, that one day, many moons into the future, she'd know that answer, and the answer to many other questions that populated her mind; she liked waiting, giving time for things to happen... events seemed to take time in order to really begin, and Tsi had the patience the size of the sky
