Gavin noticed Hadrian first.

"Haydren!" his eyes widened. This was the hero that was going to save Froo Froo! Because he did this with all his helpers and best buddies in the whole wide world, he wanted to give a hug. However, being that Hadrian was quite a bit taller, the most he could do was attach himself to Hadrian's leg.

Remi let out a deep breath of relief. No Marc this morning. Good thing too.

"Sorry for showing up here so early. These two wanted to find you."

Haki was used to seeing Hadrian often enough that she only smiled. "Hay~dren." she said, pulling the word out. Her eyes widened and glistened and her mouth took on a sulky pout as she held Froo Froo up into his view. She was short, but she craned forewords, making sure that her face was still visible the entire. Her sulking, cute face. (Oh, she had practiced for DAYS on Marc. And it usually worked very well.)

"Froo Froo is dying." she said this very very sadly, quiet as she nodded her head, brows gathering together in emphasis. "Save Froo Froo, Hay dren?"

That look -

Hadrian stared at the stuffed animal, then glanced back at Haki. Where had she learned that?

"Ah...how is it dieing?"

He didn't know of the voice, of course. All he knew was that his lover's daughter was making the most adorable face at him, on the verge of tears, and wanted him to 'save' a stuffed animal.

"Apparently the battery's dieing," Remi explained, feeling quite silly that they had to bother Hadrian like this. "It has a drawstring in the back. It's one of those talking stuffed animals."

Gavin looked toward Haki, nodding at her to pull the string and show Hadrian what the heck Mommee was talking about. Poor Froo Froo.

"I don't have the first clue how to fix it, and Haki suggested we come find you," Remi smiled sheepishly.

She would have to remember to get Hadrian to take Haki when they were finished too. No Marc, no Marc, no Marc.

Letting out a small whimper, she pulled at the string the way she had watched Gavin do it yesterday. She had paid close attention to the way it was done, and so she did it (with what she hoped was) finess.

The words sounded worse than yesterday! Of course, it could have been a toddler's imagination. And it probably was, considering how into her role she was getting.

Haki decided that if she couldn't rule the world, she'd do this for a living. Make poor faces and get people to fix everything.

Distressed, she held it out again. "See?" it was so tragic...

Rubbing his forehead tiredly, Hadrian nodded to Haki.

"I'll bring it to the labs with me later, work on it there...If nothing else, replacing the batteries or voice should solve the problme."

Both of which would involve 'surgery' on the stuffed animal, but he imagined they'd just be happy to get it back, and not really care if it had a few stitches.

Giving a wry smile to Remi, he nodded, "It's fine."

"Haydren fix Froo Froo!" Gavin chirped happily, letting go of Hadrian's leg to walk back toward Haki, as if she hadn't heard the news. Soon Froo Froo would be singing happily again.

Remi smiled back, grateful.

"Thanks. And...er, Haki apparently spent the night last night. Do you think you could bring her back to Marc? I--well, um...don't really want to bother him right now."

That's what she said, but her eyes told a different story. I really don't want to hear about those 'uniforms' again. Please?

Haki beamed. "Haydran faverit!" she said. He was her favorite person since he had decided to help bring Froo Froo back to life. So her smile was just as happy as Gavin's as she nodded, enthusiastic. "See?" she beamed. Hadrian could fix everything!

And Haki could find the people who could fix everything.

At Remi's statement however, she blinked, frowning as she looked up at the woman. "Why?" she demanded, the way a toddler does. Maybe Remi was sick and had to go home quickly? And what was this about bothering?

With a hint of a chuckle and wry smile, Hadrian assured Remi that it was fine. "I have the time, so it's no trouble. I'll bring her up to Marc."

Well...kind of. He had time, he just had many things to do in that time. But he had a feeling Remi was nervous about seeing Marc again, and he felt the urge to redeem himself from a pervert (after all, she first saw him in a towel).

Reaching out, he almost unconciously tousled Haki's hair, "Don't worry about it, Haki. She probably has some more things to do."

"Thank you so much," Remi gave him a relieved smile. No running into Marc today. Now if only there was some way to avoid coming up to this building at all...

Except that Stephan lived there. Crap.

Gavin blinked as he listened to the conversation between the big, grown-up people. Was Haki going home already?

"Haki leaving?" he asked, looking at Haki with an abandoned look in his eyes.

Haki stared back with the same eyes. While she didn't mind having her head tousled, what was wrong with this woman?

"Remi no come with me?"

She tried the same look on the woman. Wide, baby green eyes, a slight glistening and the barest hint of a pout. She looked hurt, as if Remi had claimed that she had killed all the cute and fuzzy things in the world.

"But I want to be with Gavin."

She stated.

Glancing back at Gavin and Remi, Hadrian gave a sigh then nodded.

"I can watch Gavin for the morning, Remi; let the two play a bit more."

With his headache, he'd probably just let them play whatever, so long as he got some aspirin. Anything to get rid of his headache.

And he imagine Remi would enjoy having the morning to herself, of course.

How did Haki do that? Remi almost felt herself immediately agree to any of Haki's whims until Hadrian saved her with a wonderful suggestion. That would mean a free morning. Those were always fun.

Gavin perked up and pulled on Remi's sleeve.

"Want to go with Haydren and Haki!"

Remi smiled down at her son, then turned him around and patted him toward Hadrian and Haki. Gavin readily obliged.

"That'd be wonderful," she said gratefully. "Thank you again Hadrian. You're a life saver."

In more ways than one. A free morning without mayhem-causing toddlers and no Marc. Today was going to be a good day.

Haki sighed. So it seemed Marc would have the morning to himself, then. Deciding that maybe (just maybe) she could survive with this, Haki nodded. Well, she had Gavin to play with, didn't she?

That was something.

Standing there with a pleased grin on her face, she nodded. "Gavin and me play!" With what, well... they'd figure that one out later. Either way, she knew she was going to have a good time.

Hmmm. And then maybe they could bug Hadrian into bugging her froo froo sooner, so that Gavin would worship her healing powers a little bit more.

"Life saver?"

Wasn't that an annoying candy that Marc refused to buy for her?

"When you drop by to pick up Gavin, we'll probably be up at Marc's." Alright, perhaps her day wouldn't be entirely without Marc.

Because he planned on visiting the man sooner or later (maybe he could give him aspirin; he couldn't find any in his own apartment).

"Do you two want to play down here or upstairs, in Haki's room? There isn't much down here for you two to do..."

He didn't seem to have much trouble inviting a toddler into his lover's apartment.
